Le Chene Hotel

The property was clean and quaint with an amazing breakfast that was included in the price. Staff were friendly and accommodating when asked if we could park our car for a few hours after check out. Boxed dinners were available for an additional cost and there was a nice garden area with comfortable chairs.

Bedding was comfortable. They gave us a triple room which was an excellent option. Rooms were clean had basic amneties. has excellent bus services and lovely walking pathway.

the staff at reception were not helpful . They did not give us any infomration about the local attractions. We were not sure whether we were slightly discriminated based on the fact that we were brown.

Very friendly and excellent breakfast. Also other facilities like a hot tub

The breakfasts at Le Chene are excellent. There is plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. My departure was before breakfast, so the hotel gave me a packed continental breakfast to take with me. The staff were all very welcoming. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was easy to operate. There is parking on site, but if you don't have a car, the bus stop is close by with regular buses in to St Peter Port. There is also the opportunity to hire a bike if you wish.

There is a sauna in the garden that I would have liked to use, but as a solo traveller, I felt the additional charge of £10 was a little bit excessive, especially at a time in the season when the outdoor pool is not open.

Clean and comfortable. Heating had been turned off but an electric heater was provided. Daily housekeeping which was a surprise for a b&b and very nice.Breakfast and breakfast service was fabulous, can’t fault it and delicious.Easy parking, nice pub 5 minutes walk away.

My room was at the top of the building where I think the water tank(s) must have been as very noisy when neighbouring rooms were showering, especially one morning before 6am which I assume was someone going for a flight. It’s an old building so to be expected.

Niek, the owner, could not have been more gracious. The room and bedlinen were spotless.

Even before I arrived I received a lovely welcoming message from the owners of the hotel. The breakfast was superb, I had eggs and salmon and a freshly cooked croissant. There were plenty of other choices for breakfast. The hosts were amazing and it’s a place I would definitely recommend.

Excellent breakfast, along with great host and amazing location. Great touch with the discount to the bar up the road.

Everything was wonderful

The owner was very helpful and polite. He even sorted a carryout breakfast due to to early departure.

The hotel is in serious need of an update and refresh.

Despite agreement that we would find keys to auto check-in, no keys and nobody when we arrived at 5pm. Nobody answered to our calls to both the numbers indicated in the door, no answer to WhatsApp’s. By change the owner dogs needed to go out so half hour later we saw the owner getting out and after the dog pee we could get in. The room was very small and the bathroom would need renovation : minuscule sink with separate hot and cold water tape and tube, wall-paper peeling. It is pity could not enjoy the hot breakfast, but we knew it in advance.

Breakfast choice and standard excellent, staff pleasant and helpful, Room comfortable and met our needs. On bus route for easy access to St Peter Port, much easier than taking a car. Plenty of good advice on places to see and where to eat. Will be back

Nothing really. I feel horrible to say this, but I found the whole place quite drab and musty. The pictures advertised seemed to look a lot nicer than reality.

The dull room, the discoloured bath, no water pressure from the shower to name a few.

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent - a great combination of self-serve continental and waiter-service cooked breakfast.Location - close to the airport (walkable) and a bus route into town (St Peter Port)The staff were excellent too - whatever we asked for they arranged, including a packed continental breakfast when we had to leave early for a trip.

The roads in the surrounding area were busy and with little street lighting so quite dark to walk around at night, but that was no fault of the hotel owners. Just something to be aware of and take care with.There was nothing about the hotel we didn't like.

The beds are the good, not to soft. The avocado at a la carte breakfast was a good surprise. The busstop next to the hotel.

The cleaness of the bathroom. The noise of the road next to the annex was to much for me. You need earplugs.

Position , breakfast and staff super. Loved The Deerhound pub for supper and only a short walk away.

Tired decor and small room. Sorely needs a facelift.
