Saints Bay Hotel

Footpaths from the hotel with great views of the cliffs and sea in Saints Bay. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.Nice bathroom.

Bedroom seemed stark with harsh lighting. Would have felt better/cosier with curtains, bedside lampshades and without the plastic flowers.

- Cleaning, Restaurant and Bar staff were excellent. They were attentive and offered recommendations on the best choices of food and drink. They also ensured room was clean and tidied daily and would replace towels regularly- The swimming pool. The option of having a pool was great, especially as during our stay the weather was warm. Not many hotels in Guernsey have an outdoor pool so this was a nice option.- Good Public transport links - having a a bus stop nearby and regular access to taxis. Hotel was also located near the costal path which takes you all around the island.- Female receptionist was great and any queries/questions I had, she was be very helpful.

- Very expensive for a 3 star hotel and not good value for money in my opinion.- I paid for a room with patio and pool view - on arrival I discovered I had no patio or pool view. I was informed by the male receptionist after complaining, that if I was to look out of the window and turn my head to right I would see the pool. Also I was told that the patio that I paid for, was by the pool and not outside my room. Totally unacceptable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was convenient and the hotel location beautiful. Access to the beach/ bay cove very steep but stunning in natural coastal pleasure.

The room floor was not particularly clean especially at the edges and below the window~ a dead fly & wasp were there throughout our stay!!!We chose this hotel & it was booked for the pool availability but it was not 'ready' for a morning swim and one had to ask for the cover to be removed, so not spontaneous easy, quick use.The path/walk-way to the beach was very steep and not really close to the hotel as expected.

Staff are excellent, nothing to much trouble.Location is amazing in my opinion best on island.Food superb Overall an excellent stay.

Thea acoustics of the separating rooms are the worst I have ever experienced. I could hear everything in the neighboring rooms and especially above. Literally everything. First night I got about 3 hours broken sleep due to the snoring of a man above. I asked the next day if I could change rooms, but I was advised that the occupier had gone and another person was in that room. However again I could hear the snoring so loud again that even with ear plugs it was like the man was in my room! I had to play music on my phone to help drown it out. Additionally, staff in a room 3 rooms away form me and upstairs had their window open and were talking very loudly at 1:45am and I could hear it my my room, I initially thought they must be outside by the pool area, so went to have a look and was going to politely ask them to keep it down, I was shocked to realize that they were a room. Both days the people upstairs got up at 6am and because the sound separation is so poor I heard everything from their alarm, them coughing, farting, urinating, washing. So my second night I again had approx. 3 hours broken sleep. As a noise consultant, I am suitably qualified to advise that the separating floors certainly do not meet current regulation standards.Don't even start me me the restaurant....
