    Pros +

    • Breakfast was great - lots of options. Staff were pleasant and efficient. The room was lovely - lots of room. We very much enjoyed the view of the river. Both pools were great, although at times very, very busy. The museum was fantastic - I would highly recommend taking the tour. The hotel was a little bit away from Aveiro and Costa Nova, but we very much enjoyed that aspect.
    • Indoor and outdoor pools / wellness area, the spacious and clean room, and the breakfast. We also got free entry to the Vista Alegre museum which was an unexpected highlight of our trip to Portugal.
    • delicious buffet breakfast. Staff were very helpful. enjoyed walking around the Viste Alegre Campus.

    Cons -

    • It might have been nice to have the pool available to adults only for maybe the last hour of the day... perhaps extend the hours to have one additional hour of adults only. Although we loved seeing the families enjoying themselves, it might have been nice to have a little quiet.
    • I really have no complaints. One of the days we stayed the hotel was fully booked and we had to wait to be seated at breakfast, but even then the staff was very polite and kept apologising. This could have been an inconvinience if we were on a tight schedule, but since this was not the case, it just meant we had to wait a few minutes.
    • We travelled with children, and while all staff was very helpful, we missed a playground outside (as did other couples with children we spoke with)

It was our second time staying at this hotel and, once again, we absolutely loved it. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is impeccable, probably the best we have ever had.The whole surrounding of the old ceramic factory gives the hotel a unique ambiance and there are plenty activities to be done there. Will definitely come back!

Breakfast was very good and diverse. The room was a bit far from the main building but super scenic and traditional which was great. The pool was amazing. The restaurant was good (not great)

We travelled with children, and while all staff was very helpful, we missed a playground outside (as did other couples with children we spoke with)

We had overall a very nice stay. We mostly enjoyed the quietness and the spa facilities. The Staff was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was varied and of very good quality. The dinner at the hotel was the highlight - excellent. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped.

What we missed were the little things that should not miss in a 5-star hotel: no refreshment drink in the spa area, no fresh coffee for breakfast (only capsule and automatic coffee machine available), and both our bathrobes for the spa were a bit worn out and lightly damaged (this is avoidable and really ought to have been seen by the staff). None of these are deal breakers, yet we felt they were regrettable details for this hotel category.

Breakfast is a very decent buffet. The compound makes it special with the Hotel+factory+Housing+Chapel+Museum and shopping facilities. The personnel is very very friendly and helpfull. Some extra attention should be gicen to fallen leaves and gardenning

Loved the apartment we stayed in - stylish, clean and very spacious. Breakfast was excellent

    9MartaPosted on: 8-20-2024

The facilities were really nice, and the room was quite big and comfortable. The outside pool was quite warm, and it has a smaller pool for kids, which was great.

Being August, and with the hotel quite full, the bar in the pool was very full and it took a long time to get the food that was ordered. For a person with dietary restrictions, they didn´t have a lot of alternatives. Especially in the the dinner buffet.

I love the concept of a 5 star hotel integrated into the old Vista Alegre porcelain factory. And while still running, it was a very quiet location. Our bed was comfortable and our room had direct access to the outdoors, which was great for our elderly dog. The breakfast was varied, with options for my lactose free needs and the Bacalhao a Bras for dinner was amazing. Close to Aveiro and Costa Nova, both worth a visit.

The wifi was spotty in our room.

Got a very quiet and clean room. Free parking is abundant if you come by car. The staff was very friendly.

The mattress was too soft for me.

Very nice suite, good food, very friendly people. The price of the room was also very low compared to the space you get.A real perfect stay.

    A disappointing staycation

Room service was non existent Overall room was not to a 5 star standard nor was the organisation of breakfast Staff inexperienced and sparse No service around pool or at bar No turn down and cleaning of room was sporadic at strange timings No personalised attention to detail at all

Great breakfast, unique place, big and comfortable rooms.

We received the room at around 17:00!The day after, we came back to the hotel at 16:30 room wasn’t clean, And when cleaned, it took them 5-10 min ?Something to take care of …

Second time in this beautiful hotel. Everything went very well, the breakfast was great with a large variety of food. The swimming pool is nice and everything was kids friendly.

They should not heat the swimming pool outside when it's about 30C. Also, the bridge near the hotel should be reviewed, it makes a lot of noise when the cars go on top of it and might be dangerous too (but no noise inside the bedroom). Other than that nothing to point out, thanks! :)

The view, confort , the hotel and museum.

    No sleepers in the room.

    8KatiePosted on: 7-29-2024

The bed was super comfy.Pool area beautiful and the pool was a lovely warm temp but also cool enough for a hot day.Breakfast was premium!Every staff member was focused on you feeling relaxed and happy.

Aircon not that great- I don't think there was any in the gym.

    9LauraPosted on: 7-11-2024

The amount of space, proximity to historical location, room sizes and amenities.

Just starting to look a little tired.

    8SamanthaPosted on: 6-10-2024

Second time staying and everything is great

The only negative were that there were a lot of children jumping in the spa pool so it wasn’t so relaxing but it was a weekend so that could be why.

    7MariaPosted on: 5-29-2024

The size of the room, really good buffet choice on the breakfast and nice area.

The spa facilities are too tiny for such a big hotel. The spa didn’t work well and there was nobody to watch the area - it’s not a 5 star standard I think.Spa and piscine area were really disappointing. There were no tea options in the room - 1 bag of black tea and 1 green tea. We’re couple. What if both of us like black tea?
