About
Hotel Kenta Beach Hotel occupies a superb location right on the promenade overlooking the main beach of Agios Ioannis, Pelion's oldest and most developed seaside resort on the north-eastern coast. The hotel features rooms equipped with air conditioning, TV and heating. Most have a sea view balcony. Besides the spacious reception lounge with fireplace, the outdoor pool and the breakfast area, Kenta Beach Hotel's guests are offered free services including internet connection and parking. Guests at Kenta Beach Hotel have to choose among 2 more lovely beaches in the neighborhood, Plaka, a stunning beach, which can be reached after a 5-minute walk, and Papa Nero, an equally splendid beach in the opposite direction, about 12 minutes away. The village center is easily reached within a 2 minute walk from the hotel, with plenty of restaurants and traditional taverns to choose from.

Pros +
- I stayed at this hotel for seven nights in early to mid-August. It’s worth noting that I have no prior experience with three-star hotels, so my comments may be stricter than they deserve. Overall, the owners are genuinely dedicated, and the value for money is fair. The hotel is right on the seafront — which is also the main street of Agios Ioannis — surrounded by many restaurants and cafés. Our Comfort Room with sea view on the top floor was spacious, tastefully decorated in cool tones, well-lit, and clean. Downsides: few power outlets near the bed and low shower pressure, especially when neighboring rooms were in use. There’s no private parking; the nearest lot is 300 m away, and street parking is scarce. The beach in front is average, but there are beautiful ones nearby: Plaka (difficult and somewhat risky coastal path) and Papa Nero (1 km walk; don’t drive). Beach umbrellas must be reserved the day before. Wi-Fi is good throughout. Breakfast is basic and lacks variety. On some nights, there were parties with loud music — even live until 3 a.m. — which may be an issue for light sleepers. That said, one night I did enjoy the music from my balcony. Personally, I think a hotel and a bar don’t mix well. Staff and owners are exceptionally kind and helpful; when we left, they even gave us two bottles of water for the road — a small but much-appreciated gesture.

- the staff was incredible ! made us feel very welcome, the hotel was clean and location amazing
Cons -
- I was expecting the pool to be a little bit bigger
- The beach in front of the hotel is dirty, full of cigarette buds thrown by the staff of the hotel among others. The coffee at breakfast was frankly bad. One can get a better coffee at the bar but has to pay. It is a bit cheap. One cup of good coffee could be included in the breakfast to make people happy.Too much light int he room in the morning. The curtains are not adapted.
- The breakfast are very poor.

Location, friendly staff, room, breakfast
I was expecting the pool to be a little bit bigger
The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy. The sea view was amazing. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. The location is very nice; all restaurants are close.

The room is OK. Next to the beaches. The stuff is very nice and try to help you
The breakfast are very poor.
Staff were just awesome, from the beginning to the end, they even offered to pack sandwiches for us in the last day as we had to leave early. Beach front, delicious breakfast. We took a room with sea view and the sunrise was really beautiful to watch. Perfect place to disconnect from the rest of the world and have a great time.
Everything was great.
Friendly, easy to reach and discuss with and nice breakfast

Exceptional service by Demetrius, who met us at the roadside late in the evening, parked our car, and could not have made more effort to make us feel welcome. The staff generally were great, from the efficient waiting staff thorough to the efficient cleaners. Everyone seemed very familial, which made this small hotel very charming. The location is perfect - directly on the seafront with a superb private beach. There was a great variety of restaurants and shops nearby, including a very well stocked beachfront supermarket.Inside the room, there were unbeatable eastward views, a great shower, hot water, reliable air conditioning, and a cosy balcony. The room was tastefully decorated in pastel colours and thought has gone into the warmness of the bedside lighting. We appreciated the generous shelf space in the bathroom and the ample supplies of soap, etc. Acceptable WiFi.
The superior room was still not particularly large or especially comfortable. It lacked basic amenities including towels for the first two nights (which, admittedly, we then didn't bother to request) or a TV with signal. The bed sheet was always placed folded on the bed rather than being fitted.Only one side of the sizeable bed had a bedside light. Light switches for the walk-in wardrobe were hidden away under a dressing table which was itself inaccessible because it was obstructed by a large sofa-bed.Locking the door must be done with a key from inside the room, which proved quite difficult when you also needed the key to switch on the electricity for light in the room. The paint was pealing in places - perhaps just a sign of the end of the season. The swimming pool was a little dated and dirty - although not really consequential when the Aegean Sea is just a few metres away.Breakfast was acceptable - it tasted very fresh - but was a little underwhelming in the extent of vegetarian options.Checkout was a bit slow.
We had a very nice stay at the Kenta hotel. The location is right on the beach and you can eat your breakfast while looking directly at the sea. The room was not very spacious, however the bed was very large and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and our towels were changed daily as well. The breakfast was good and there were both sweet and savory options each morning. The biggest impression was definitely Mr Dimitris incredible hospitality. He was very kind, helpful and welcoming during our entire stay at the hotel along with other staff members.
Very friendly and helpful owners and personnel. Close to the beach. Excellent breakfast
SoOle but exactly what you need. Hospitality was above and beyond. We came with a baby and the stuff was so nice and helpful. Great pool, nice bar restaurant at the lobby floor
Breakfast is regular
Very comfortable and cleanWe loved the poolAlso loved the cocktails The location is the right in the middle of the most interesting places and only short work everywhereBest restaurants near
Beautiful location, and great service
That the beach and the coffee at Breakfast cost us extra
Beautiful location and really friendly professional staff
The matresses were not comfortable
The location is amazing, straight at the beach and the small boulevard. The staff is exceptional. The friendly owners and staff make you feel welcome from the first moment and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are super comfortable and the breakfast plus the other food they serve is great. We booked one night, but decided immediately to stay and extra night because we loved it so much. Although it was busy during a special day, we could still get a room and even some sun beds on the beach. If you’re tired of the sea, you can also enjoy the swimming pool. We’re definitely planning on coming back. We loved our stay!
Dimitris is the best host ever. So nice and welcoming! He helped us with everything we needed and also after we left stayed in contact to give us tips for the rest of our trip in Greece. In addition to him the entire staff is amazing! The hotel itself is nice and clean. We got a room upgrade which was really nice and the room was really clean, spacious, with all the necessary equipment! We'd definitely come back.
I liked everything!
