Woods Genève-Thoiry

It was located where I wanted to visit.

Parking was a problem at night because of the restaurant there that shared the same parking lot.

Shower stall leaked badly due to obstructed drain flooding the bath room.

The hotel was just a stop on the way further south. As such, it was merely a place to sleep. As such, it fulfilled our expectations. It was OK. Not the worst not the best. A bit threadbare in places but clean enough. Breakfast we pretty weak. No fresh eggs, Just a self service soft boiler. At 8 EUR it would have been a good value at 12 it was overpriced. However, there was a buffet next to the hotel. A bit pricy at around 40 euro per person, but all you can eat and a very wide variety of all sorts of stuff. It had oysters which were good. Crayfish gumbo which was OK. Sushi rice was weak but the fresh calamari and squid were good. Almost made up the the aggressively average hotel.

It was in the middle of an industrial park. Almost thought we were lost. Threadbare. Bed squeaked, springs had been well used. shower leaked, tiles broken. Room small, TV too big (had to doge it to get around the bed). OK for one night on the way somewhere else but not more than that.

Room was comfy and bath/shower were nice. The breakfast buffet was ok; the evening buffet was really good.

We had a clogged shower drain our first night, and we had difficulty finding a staff person the following morning to help (desk not staffed 24/7). Once the manager arrived, he assessed the drain and moved us to a different (and larger) room.

The room was reasonably clean and comfortable. Very quiet at night

Good location to Cern, Geneva and Jura France. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with local patisserie supply and variety of items.

Automated coffee machine was just ok. Also parking is shared with very popular restaurant and was over capacity at night. It remained noisy with restaurant customers until 11pm closing.Service was adequate but front desk/security was too automated.

Good position for a business trip and stay in the Geneva area. The bus station for public transport to the airport and Palexpo or furthermore downtown Geneve is close by.

The parking situation in the evening might be tricky when lots of guests come to the Seazen Restauarnt which is next door.

It's a very serviceable and clean room. It's just across the road from a shopping centre including a Hyper Ü so getting breakfast ad anything else is easy.

This can hardly be called a 'woods' hotel. Although there are very nice woods higher up the mountain, it is in fact located in an industrial park with a highway running through it. The view from my room was hilariously a blasted industrial construction yard of some kind.

The restaurant from the complex is very good, with excellent atmosphere and service, good food and reasonable prices. The place was full of people but the service was smooth and efficient. Many smiles in that place, from customers and employees together.

On Saturday evening the parking was extremely full. The restaurant at the hotel was overcrowded and it's impossible to go inside. No other restaurant at the area

New and comfortable. Next to a restaurant although I didn't try it

No night staff and check in closes at 23:00. No solutions offered after that time. I almost missed it and with it the booking

The towels and the bedsheets were dirty. On the bedsheets were big black marks, a bit like from tyres.The reception wasn't staffed, and it wasn't possible to get someone if help was needed (after waiting several minutes after ringing the bell, I gave up)

Nice and clean. Rooms are comfortable and price is not too high

Would be great to have an access during night. Why not having a kind of master lock box in the entrance so if guests are arriving after 11pm they can get their key card easily

Convenient

It was ok overall. Would be great to have a smoother check in process as despite having exchanged several messages abt early check in, it wasn’t ready and the person at the desk had no idea that i had obtained agreement to check in 30 mins early. I also did the online checkin thinking it wd be fast but it wasn’t.

Room and breakfast (12 euros pp) were very good, staff were attentive if met.Would we stay again is the Question - YES.

Travelling by motorbike, I had requested a secure location if possible, the auto response stated cctv covered the large free on site car park.On arrival the lady seemed confused reference cctv but cameras were everywhere, so didn't worry to much when locked to immovable post.

Lovely modern hotel with great aircon WiFi and comfy beds . Good location for Geneva . Bus services to centre also .

Coffee machine out of order but other choices available. Not a massive choice for breakfast but good quality.

It is not a full service hotel. One can order breakfast ahead of time, but otherwise one has to go next door to a buffet restaurant to eat, or go entirely elsewhere. I do not enjoy buffets so I went elsewhere.

Nake sure you have a car, public transport is not convenient

The hotel was clean and the initial receptionist was charming. The air conditioning was good.

This hotel is situated next to a concrete mixing depot adjacent to two sides of the hotel. Thankfully we stayed here at the weekend and the concrete depot was not working during our visit. The restaurant attached to the hotel attracts hundreds of people as it is a fixed price buffet. The customers of the restaurant park their cars in the restaurant/hotel car park which causes congestion at lunch and dinner times and hotel customers have difficulty parking. This is not an inviting situation. There is limited hanging area for clothes in the room. Some of the exits from the building were blocked by rubbish and if they were fire exits could possibly cause serious health and safety issues.
