Room and Bed

Wide variety of public rooms for lounging, gaming, drinks, watching sports. Indoor pool is nice but gets crowded easily. Sauna is a great add on as well. Banquet hall is nicely decorated with varnish wood and classical timeless feel. Dinner was nice and a la carte. Breakfast was good. We went for half board and we think it was worth it.

Needs a bit more TLC, bedrooms need deep cleaning. There where places in the bathroom where you can tell it hasn’t been wiped clean in a long time.

We had a wonderful stay at Onix Hotel in Viseu! Everything was great, especially the delicious breakfast with plenty of options. The parking was convenient, and we enjoyed the pool and sauna—though the sauna is small, it was a nice addition. One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t provide slippers, and you need to bring some essentials to use the pool. Despite this, our experience was excellent, and we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The hospitality is quite basic, the breakfast wasn't great, and the tub in the room was better than the swimming pool.

Very disappointing.

We were told on arrival that the restaurant would be open at 19.30. When we went down for our evening meal, after a long day of driving, we were told that the restaurant was closed that night. We were then directed to another restaurant along a busy road in the dark, we are both mid seventies, we could not find that restaurant. After giving up and calling at the garage shop, the lady there was lovely, she told us that that restaurant was also closed.

Poor facilities for a 3 star hotel, old and needing maintenance as well as good cleaning service. The hairdryer is old and unusable; the bathroom gets all wet because of the shower; the location is disappointing.

Very friendly and helpful staff; comfortable bed; convenient location for our overnight stop-over; tasty home-style evening meal. Staff opened the breakfast room earlier than usual for our early morning departure, and the range of options on the buffet was superb.

Decor is rather dated, and the bath was chipped.

The room was very large and well-equipped, and the decor, although dated, had a certain charm. Had very tasty home-style dinner in the piano bar. Breakfast buffet was superb with extensive range of hot and cold items including bacon, cakes, pastries, cereals, cheese, ham, fresh juices. Staff were really helpful, including allowing us to have our breakfast before the official start time because we had to leave really early. Pool looked lovely, but unfortunately didn't have time to use.

There was some mould visible in a top corner by the window in the bedroom.

the walls in the room had mold. It seemed the room was not used for a while.The pool was out of service but there was no warning at reservation time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, I loved that we had coffee and a kettle in our room. The balcony was one of my favourite things. But wow that breakfast exceeded my expectations. I was so delicious and so many options. I loved that they gave us eggs and bacon. I will definitely return.

Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, the decor is outdated and everything feels a bit old. Parking lot is also tight and confusing.

Very very good value for money. Great food for both dinner and breakfast. Perfect for a stop off to break the journey driving from Portugal to Santander to get the ferry. The hotel is a 70s time capsule and I hope it stays that way as it is a real experience. We loved it! Massive bedrooms and very clean everywhere.

Very spaceous and comfortable room with large windows. Spaceous parking lot, reception 24/7, comfortable beds, fast internet, a nice-looking swimming pool. The hotel seems to have had it's best days some 10 years before, but it is spaceous, well-kept and comfortable. Everything was just fine - we definately recommend!

1. There was no fridge in the room (although, the reception put our things in their own fridge in the kitchen (thanks a lot!)).2. We asked for a quiet room, but got one facing the main street (however, it was not very noisy during the night and we slept really well).3. We would have liked some vegetables for breakfast (at least some tomatoes and cucumbers), but there were none:-(

Big Room, Confortable beds and good Breakfast.

Receptionist not very often at workplace. Had to wait sometimes.In the description of my room said "room with balcony" I didn't receive a room with balcony. But not bother with that.

We had dinner at the hotel where the waiters were very helpful professional and friendly.We were impressed with the hotel - it was nicer then we expected and had access to a lovely pool. The room had a nice balcony.
