Hotel Calypso

The location is very convenient, just a short walk from the beach and the city center. The breakfast was average, but the rooms were kept clean with daily service. The only downside was that the hallway could have been cleaner. Overall, the staff were very kind and helpful, which made the stay pleasant

There is no free parking available, but the hotel offers private parking for €8 per night, which feels much safer than leaving the car on the street. The breakfast could be better and overall cleanliness could use some improvement.

Horrible

Horrible hotel, and unfriendly staff. I know it's a hotel on a budget and I didn't expect any luxury but at least basic human hygiene and hospitality just a little bit. You need to chase cleaning ladies to tidy up the room. Breakfast is horrible, very poor choice and not enough for all guests (eg. limited amount of boiled eggs, after it's gone there's no more) , coffee is horrible too! There is mold everywhere! They pour chlorine and chemicals in the pool everyday like crazy, that is not healthy! From the concentration of the chemicals my clothes and bathing suits are burned and yellow! Cockroaches in the hallway and extremely filthy hotel toilets (the ones in the hotel lobby) for all the guests.Half the stuff in the room needed a good screwdriver! I am only talking here about basic safety things every hotel should follow, no matter how many stars.. absolutely disgusting, stay away from this hotel! And they don't have elevator???

Nice location, basically in the city center. Great pool, breakfest also great. Hosts were nice and everything went smoothly.

Need a bit of renovation, little bit the hotel is outdated.

Very good location. Good value for the money and having in mind that is just 2 star hotel. Breakfast is mostly the same every day, but you have various things to chose. You have wi fi in the whole hotel and in the rooms. Pool is good and cleaned every day.

It says hotel has a parking 8e/day, but we didn't find it. You can park on the the street if you find spot. Keep in mind that you can't block deliveries, garage, house entrances. Otherwise you can expect a parking ticket and your licence plates taken by the police. Maybe a little bit more comfortable beds and pillows would be good. The furniture is also a little bit older, but it satisfies the needs.

The location is great, close to the beach, the staff was so nice and kind. The breakfast was acceptable. Wi-fi connection was great.

The cleanliness in the rooms is not very good, in the 7 days I stayed, the towels and the sheets on the bed were changed only once. The sheets have stains of dirty and holes on them.

Location was perfect.Breakfast was ok but its was the same everyday.Staff was helpful but could not do anything about the old amenties.

In 2004 this hotel could have been the best.Too old for 2024.Almost everything was broken.Needs an upgrade immediately!

The location is good

The cleaning wasn’t so good and me and my fiancé had to talk to the reception about our towels and if the cleaners could change the sheets in the bed because it hadn’t been changed in a couple of days but besides that it was good.

Location. Helpful staff. Fast check in and check out: Good fresh breakfast. Very clean rooms. Host really gives a lot of effort to run great this hotel.

Limited choice and same breakfast everyday, shower floor tiles and curtain could be cleaner and towels were changed after 4 days

Location was great, two mins walk to restaurants, cafe, bars and about 5 mins walk to a public parking lot. Simple and fast check in/ check out. Evening sun. Some of the staff were very friendly, like the man who takes care of the breakfast, we had to check out very early and he offered to make us a breakfast box to take on our way. We appreciated!

1. When we arrived to our room, we were very disappointed to see how dirty it was, seemed it was not cleaned before: dust bunnies on the floor, hair on the bed, traces of old soap and toothpaste in the bathroom. We spoke to some of the staff members immediately and they said they will take care of it the next morning. The next day the room was in the same state as when we left it, we asked them to have a second look but nothing changed. At the end we had a long conversation with the manager and finally we got another room, cleaner than the first one. 2. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable.

Location was ok - parking was ok (8 euro per day). Breakfast was so-so

Room was nasty, smelling like sheep farm. The towels, pillows and bed sheets were smelling so much like they weren't even washed properly. We left 1 day earlier because we couldn't sleep the 3 nights..

We dont have wifi internet and we dont have hot water

Location is very good 2min from center and 5min walk from beach , 2min walk to bus station , there are 3 stores couple of metres away . Rooms are not big but they are clean,it's not hot even if you don't turn AC , and can't hear sound from outside, every 3rd day they change bedsheets and towels ,every day clean room and pick up trash .

Breakfast is not bad but it was same every day all 7 days .. swimming pool working ours can be little longer 10:00-20:00 is kinda not convenient some of us who like to avoid sun and swim early and later at evening

I would like to highlight the exceptional professionalism and warm friendliness exhibited by the young woman working the night shift at the hotel. ?

The cleanliness standards were shockingly low, with towels and sheets in the room smelling funky and visibly stained, possibly with blood.Additionally, the behavior of the hotel staff, especially the manager or owner, was extremely impolite and unfriendly. Their rudeness created an uncomfortable atmosphere for us, making it difficult to feel welcome during our stay. To make matters worse, despite booking a 3-person room, we were provided with only one large towel and two small ones, which were not changed daily but every 3 days. This led to hygiene issues, both my baby and I ended up with infections on our skin.

The pool

No toilet set in the bathroom and no wifi in the room for two days during the stay. No variety options for breakfast.

The girl on the reception was nice and polite.

Poor breakfast, old furniture, you need to pay extra for parking, its not included with the stay.

Central location, very kind staff, but old and not so clean

Location in the city center, close to beach, bars and shops, restaurants and amusement parks. We had nice room with sea view. The staf was so polite they didn't want us to leave so early without breakfast so they packed us breakfast and coffee to go!
