Hotel Athina

The location was perfect!

The rooms were much smaller than the photos make it seem. We didn't get the room with two balconies although my reservation stated that I would have a corner room with two balconies.

Hotel Athina is absolutely stunning! I loved everything about it! Angela at the front desk was a delight, and went above and beyond for us! The location is wonderful, right in the middle of several excellent restaurants, and just steps from a beautiful English pub that was one of the highlights of our trip! The pool is immaculate and huge, but we spent the majority of our time at the beach! Beach loungers did cost 5 Euros a day, but they were so comfortable and well worth it. We went on a beautiful hike (recommended by Angela) that was only a couple miles from the hotel and provided us with stunning views and the chance to visit a hilltop coffee shop and a small church of St. Nicholas. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with many choices and an amazing view of the sea while you eat. We stayed in one of Hotel Athina’s two suites with a patio and private small pool. The suite was nothing short of amazing! We are already planning on when we can come back to Hotel Athina.

Everything was beautiful, I loved the pool, very easy and close access to the beach, loved the sunsets and the accommodation. Angela was super friendly, she is very professional awesome person ❤️I liked the barbecue you had for us guests, thank you!

I wish the breakfast had more of variety and it’d be nice some nice music played by the pool.

We had a nice big room with a sem-privat pool with a sea view. Everything was clean and nice. Very good staff and management.

The **service was excellent**, with personal touches that really made a difference.Our room was **spotlessly clean**, and the **hotel amenities** were everything we needed – including **strong WiFi**, great air conditioning, and plenty of comforts. The **breakfast was delicious** every morning, with lots of fresh and tasty choices.The best part? The hotel is **right on the beach** – a perfect location for swimming, relaxing, and watching sunsets. Everything was just so easy and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.We’re so happy with our stay and will **definitely return every year**. Highly recommended!

The staff is outstanding. Pool is nice and we’ll maintained. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was adequate. Bar service was great.

Needs some upgrades. New refrigerator in room. Updated bathroom. Having to pay for the beach umbrellas in front of the hotel if you are a guest.

Amazing view especially in sunset. The pool is enormous and beautifully designed. Breakfast and dinner is delicious. Friendly staff that run the place. In general a nice and quiet place for relaxing vacations.

For this level of a hotel, we were disappointed of some minor but annoying issues. The bathroom was missing any shampoo and shower gel. There were spots all over the walls and ceiling from smashed mosquitoes which had not been cleaned for like weeks or months. Finally, when we asked for pool towels, they told us it's with extra charge per day. For its budget, it's totally unacceptable.

The smell from the bathrooms

Brand new rooms with Seaview and private garden, biggest pool in the area with a little cafe/pool bar that serves food as well, right on the beach. Staff were great, cheerful, and ready to help.

Breakfast was basic, no juices were offered and coffee from the machine only.

Excellent staff, pool, breakfast. We had a very nice stay here.

The location, was a nice walk (not long but not too short) to the main strip where food and souvenir shops lay. In addition the seafront was superb and had easy access from the hotel. The pool was amazing and the staff were friendly and attentive. This is definitely a place of stay if your looking for a quiet, relaxing, calm and peaceful holiday, as there’s not much to do around.

I believe the pool bar prices to be quite high for residents, considering we’re already paying a decent amount to stay there.

The location is clean, with super attentive and friendly staff. Great location with on site restaurant and plenty of other dinning choices outside the property.

Just remember to take your own shampoo and body wash.

Lovely welcome. Room upgraded without request to one with fabulous views. Proximity to beach and town. Fabulous large pool

That we weren't staying longer

I booked a last minute flight to Corfu for myself and my wife, arriving in Corfu at 23.00hrs. I checked several hotels that we had seen and chose 4. I sent a message via booking.com to all 4 to ask if a late arrival was possible, maybe as late as 01.00.Only one hotel took the time to answer, The Hotel Athina. From the minute we arrived we knew we were somewhere very special and next morning the scenery when we looked out was superb.The staff were absolutely fabulous, every single one of them, from reception, the barman, the breakfast team, the team at the pool side bar, to the wonderful lady who cleaned our room everyday, all first class, friendly and very helpful.Our room was a triple room with comfortable beds and a nice size bathroom, with shower.The balcony was a good size too.The breakfast was excellent, great and varied choices.Pool area was fantastic and as with the whole hotel, spotlessly clean.Great choice of drinks available at the poolside bar and it was always busy serving food.This was our first time in Agios Stefanos and we loved it. The beach was excellent and the village itself was lively, but not too lively and the choice of restaurants very, very good.We will be back!

Location was perfect and the pool area just by the ocean made it very worth the money. Staff was kind. Breakfast was ok.

Some things were out dated like stained towels and the shower cabinet being older.

Pool closes at 6 PM, meh. Door lock to get in to the room is sooo bad.Third bed is on wheels and it is very hard to sleep on
