- Our absolute Italian highlight. In the old town of Scilla, we had rooms with balconies hanging over the ocean, complete with flower baskets, views of Scilla, passing boats and the beautiful ocean. Rooms very luxe and staff super friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was an absolute feast of fresh baked pastries, fruit and other delicious goodies. Exploring the old town is a photographers dream. Many restaurants on your doorstep and an easy 6 minute walk to the beach via the old harbour. Swimming was lovely.

- balcony overlookes the sea
Cons -
- Everything was incredible!
- price could be lower for being mid november
- Parking is impossible. Unless you can pinpoint arrival and departure times well in advance, forget the valet parking. The parking down the street is a 3rd of a mile away, over cobbled streets that make dragging luggage a nightmare. (Also, there's no elevator, only a very narrow circular staircase, so that's fun with luggage.) The only parking payment machine is 15 euros a night, is another 10th of a mile distant from the distant parking, and only accepts euro coins. None of this information was disclosed in the messages we got from the hotel. When asked for help, the manager informed us none of this was his fault and then was surly. The air conditioning in the room was sluggish to respond, the hotel has no potable water and charges 2 euros a bottle for the privilege of being able to brush your teeth, our only ocean view was by opening our bathroom window and sticking our heads out to peer, there was street noise, and to top it all off, some sort of sewage leak in the system made our bathroom reek.

This was one of our favorite hotel stops on our month long trip to southern Italy! The rooms literally have balconys directly above the crashing surf of the Mediterranean below and though a little on the small side...have all the necessary elements for a great stay. The restaurant in the hotel is top notch...one of the best dinners of the trip...and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Access to the hotel is a little difficult as the street is narrow and right down on the sea but it is totally worth it to haul your luggage 300 meters to get there. The sound of the surf all night is quite a comfort with the balcony doors wide open...no bugs in late October!
Everything, from the staff to the beautiful setting and the elegantly designed room. It was all perfect!
Breakfast was the highlight of this hotel. The staff were friendly, the spread was generous, and the quality was excellent. And our rooms were clean.

Location is exceptional being right on the ocean, with wonderful sea views from bedroom and bathroom windows (room #204).Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was excellent with added bonus of eggs cooked to order.Breakfast staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.
Excellent breakfast. Clean property right next to the sea with a lovely restaurant attached. Friendly staff.
The town is in the perfect little beach town of chianalea. The rooms and views beautiful but the reason we always come back is because of the staff. Stefania, Gina, and team have become like family to us. We love it here
Nothing everything was excellent
Everything was great , locations is wonderful , modern rooms and great breakfast .
- Fantastic location, seafront- Friendly staff- Cosy rooms- Good restaurant with a view- Parking
- Entrance to the shower in our room was directly from the room, not from the bathroom. May be a little inconvenient sometimes.
Very beautiful property! Clean and classy. Perfect location. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The staff was so helpful. Grazie Mille!

Nothing that I didn’t like .
We stayed one night on our journey from Lamezia to Sicily. A perfect location to stop if this is your itinerary. The hotel is located right in the middle of a quaint street. We parked at the lot assigned and someone came to pick us up and drive us - great service. Breakfast was amazing and served true Calabrese treats. Room was comfortable with a beautiful window looking out to the sea. Staff was friendly - would definitely recommend this hotel.
Absolutely lovely. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challenge but our stay there couldn’t have been any more wonderful. We really enjoyed our time in Scilla!
The stairs to the upper floors (1st to 2nd) don’t have a hand railing that goes the length of the stairs and the stairs become angled at the top, which makes things challenging to climb until you get used to it. Go slowly and take care.
This place is amazing! Everything from staff to slippers exceeded expectations. We parked our car in the hotel lot in town and the hotel sent a little 3 wheeled car to come and get us. It was pure magic from then on! We zipped through the narrow, winding, streets breathing in all the beauty. The young woman at the front desk greeted us in English and made us immediately feel welcome. She had a fun sense of humor and was helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast included with the room is FANTASTIC. We felt like Queens. My sister and I giggled at how fancy it looked but it tasted even better! The hotel restaurant over the water is beautiful and the food was good. The staff is like a family. They work well together and they're hard workers. Always busy, always bustling about. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and kind. We absolutely loved our stay here and have already recommended it to friends!
Location - right in the old town.Size of the room.Very good shower.Great breakfast and super nice hotel staff.Good design of the old Italian villa.
The room, the view, the parking...
Great convenient location with Top rated restaurant on site
Not as private with busy restaurant on site
Lovely location right on the sea front. Bed was really comfy and breakfast was good. The parking and shuttle to and from the property for €15 was helpful, and our car was fine at the parking area.
We had trouble connecting to the wifi, and maintaining the connection. As the rooms have hard floors there is some noise from the rooms above if you are on 1st floor.
