    Pros +

    • The only good thing about this property is the location.
    • Right on the Camino, wonderful staff, clean facilities, beautiful views, delicious food.
    • I liked the sea view, comfortable beds, and good breakfast.

    Cons -

    • This property did not meet expectations at all. I "upgraded" my room to a King Sea View as it said there was AC. When I called the front desk for help, as the system had a control panel but did not turn on at all, I was informed the property does not have AC. This is completely misrepresented in the descriptions.
    • More suited for value if you have time to spend rather than an overnight on the Camino.
    • The evening meal was terrible.

Beautiful location on a magnificent beach. Hotel Santo Andre is a grande old dame, dated but gracious.

More suited for value if you have time to spend rather than an overnight on the Camino.

The location of the hotel is on a beautiful wild beach, the staff are very polite and helpful especially the girl at the reception desk.

    The evening meal was terrible.

Very pleasant! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, except the bacon, which had bones! Loved the near by tavern/restaurant.

Beautiful pool. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Large rooms

Food (dinner buffet) was okay but not great

    6PetePosted on: 10-9-2025

    View right on beach

Postage stamp tv, shower is very messy

    9StevenPosted on: 10-7-2025

Very comfortable with nice pool and right on beach.

    A bit isolated

    10BJStetchPosted on: 9-30-2025

The food was good, amazing views, the pool was lovely, you're right on the Camino.

    10AlysonPosted on: 9-28-2025

It was a great place to stay right off Camino. The staff were so kind. It was clean and quiet.

    We liked everything.

Location was fantastic, right on the Camino & right by the water. Great ocean view and breeze.

Old, no ambiance, no amenities, no snacks when ordering wine from bar. Room smelled and had flies everywhere in it. The AC didn’t work. This property has so much potential and is lacking in so many ways. With that said, if you are walking the Camino you don’t have a ton of options and this is key location. Just wish they would offer more. Best restaurant down the street about 250 yards I would highly recommend.

    10DonaldPosted on: 9-18-2025

Sits on the Camiño, perfect for Pilgrims. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds etc.

    8JuliePosted on: 9-12-2025

Staff very friendly and right along the Camino path. View from hotel is beautiful.

    9ChristinePosted on: 9-9-2025

The breakfast was very nice. Although the eggs were on the runny side. But otherwise everything was delicious. The pool was amazing. The little restaurant down the road was amazing! Don’t let the outside appearance fool you Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Air conditioning throughout all the rooms was not in working order on our visit.

    10VilmaPosted on: 9-9-2025

Great location, right next to the Camino Portuguese route. Very clean and nice room. Has a pool.

No quick laundry services, just after 48 hours of stay.

    10ScottPosted on: 9-8-2025

While the hotel might have some age on it, the facilities were of high class featuring good woodwork, tiling, glass. Friendly staff. Great location right on the beach.

Would have loved flaky croissants for breakfast but that would be way over the top.

    6SarahPosted on: 9-6-2025

Right on the beach, close to town. On the Camino. Clean, staff was very friendly . Buffet dinner was very nice

Air conditioning did not work. The jet tub in the room did not work. Beds & pillows were not comfortable

    8RandyPosted on: 9-3-2025

Right on the beach .right on the Camino trail . Restaurant had a decent small buffet. $5 glass of red wine

Maybe the price is a bit high so I can't call it good value.

    9SamuelPosted on: 9-3-2025

The hotel is right on the Camino Coastal Route, which made it very convenient for our journey. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were satisfactory and the pool was refreshing. There were plenty of options at the continental breakfast.
