Everything about my stay was Fantastic! The property is a gem and the location is stunning...My room was large and had everything I needed for an awesome adventure. The hotel has many areas to enjoy and relax. Drink and food top! Spa excellent...Staff top with special mention to Diogo and Stacy at reception and Diogo, Miti and Pedro at the bar...Outstanding service! Tell um' Dickie from Texas sent ya! Resident Cowboy of Portugal since 2016...

Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and sizable room. With a large bathroom. The swimming pools and saunas were very nice. The spa people were very nice. Great parking. Large property that you can walk around on. The food at the wine bar was quite nice. Buffet breakfast is included, which was also very nice with a large European spread.

The shower did not drain

A newly opened hotel, very smart and modern sceptical about there not being a restaurant for dinner, the pizza bar meal was delicious. Secure parking for my motorcycle behind electric steel gates. Breakfast choice is vast, sweet pastries, breads, cold meats , cheeses, scrambled egg, bacon etc you get the idea, even cooked to order omelettes.

I was looking forward to a swim after a long days riding my motorcycle, the green algae in the pool put a stop to that!

First of all, I have to say that the hotel had 3 days left before closing up completely and being passed to a different hotel chain. Having said this, the staff was very friendly and helpful, provided us with a nice quiet room. Swimming pool was still working and especially the outside one very nice and welcoming in the heat. Garden chairs comfortable and the garden nicely kept.

Because it was three days away of being shut down, it already looked a bit "abandoned". Lighting in common areas was not bright enough, breakfast was missing eggs, spa facilities almost shut down.

The location

The mattress was no good, springs were damaged. I had to change rooms. The carpets in the rooms were dirty. In both of the rooms I was in there was damp on the walls. The outdoor pool is in disrepair and is at risk of collapsing on one side. The hotel needs renovations.

The location is great, near the center but right next to the beautiful green wood area. The reception lady at night had amazing energy.

The reception duo during day aren't very welcoming, one of both doesn't greet the guests and just ignores us until the second receptionist which speaks english comes to our help.

Bad

We left at second night because the hotel is in very bad shape. The room was not acceptable. I cannot understand how this hotel can be classified 4 Stars.

Chunks missing from wall in room, black stains on carpet in room, bathroom floor was wet, towels stained, looked like mold near balcony door, heavy smells.

The facilities were amazing. They had a snooker table, table tennis, tennis court, football field, spa, inside and outside pool and gym ALL included in the price, free of charge (even the snooker)The staff are really nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and the food is amazing, with fresh ingredients and a lot of variety.

Although the room was clean, it didn't appear well maintained. The walls needed painting, the surfaces were old and run down... It wouldn't have been a problem in a 3 star hotel but we felt like it didn't match the 4 star classification (in regards to rooms, the remaining hotel was really well maintained with a perfect old new balance, especially the dinning area)

Staff

The bathroom needed some fixing so did the interior pool and the acesse to the outside pool.

Nice location, nice views. The food was really good.

Nice quiet Location good food in the restaurant however it is not open during the week days , nice outdoor pool

Room needs refreshment, shower has no pressure at all you can’t rinse the head properly :( breakfast completely rubbish :( also you need a proper coffee machine

Location outside busy city and access to surrounding areas. Huge potential but would only rate at possibly a 3-star but definitely not a 4-star hotel in current condition

Very old hotel in need of updating and painting even in common areas. Room furniture badly damaged, window areas blistering with water damage, some mould, needs painting. The grounds around pool uneven and dated. Service for drinks and food was very slow. The ordered cod, it was full of bones and the pasta with prawns was very bland, the prawns overcooked and tough

The location and free car park

If you are looking for a 4 star hotel, avoid this hotel. I booked it for a bit of luxury (having stayed in a Golden Tulip hotel before) and some relaxation for 3 days Our room was smelly, with stains of the floor, black grout in bathroom, cracks in walls, flaky paint, torn sheets in the bed that the chamber maid redone 3 mornings without thinking it was wrong to have 40 cm hole in the bed linen…. In other words, we didn’t get the bedroom shown on the pictures! There were no dressing gown, not 4 pillows; I was told “all bedrooms are the same” so I don’t know where those lovely bedrooms are!? instead of relaxation we went out and didn’t come back till 10pm just to sleep. I filled in a satisfactory questionnaire on the second day as they “wanted their guests to enjoy their stayed” but nobody got back to me. I lost 20 minutes of my holiday for nothing. Not sure how this hotel still has 4 stars...
