    Good location

When I entered the room, there were few things : 1. Carpet was old with white stains.2. The window didn’t had blackout curtains but only a white thin one. When I call the reception, the employee came to the room, took a look and said that that’s the curtains they got in the hotel. Told her that I need a dark room to sleep well. But she didn’t had a solution for it. Woke up around 6am due to the light from the window. When I went down and told the receptionist, that it was really bad with the light in the morning, she sent someone to the room. And she showed me that there’s a blackout curtains!!! But in a strange way. You need to open the window and then there’s a blackout curtain out side. Any way, don’t understand why the girl the day before, didn’t knew or didn’t show to me when she came to the room. 3. Very noisy due to thin walls and plumbing issues. When the next room used the water, the sound in my room was really bad! From 6am the room was full of water noises from the other rooms next to me. 4. Didn’t expect to a magical view, but if I open the window and see a roof tile in front of me, so at list make sure to clean it. The roof was dirty. 5. When I complained to the receptionist in the morning and ask for the manager, the only reply was that she’s sorry but still didn’t call the manager. 6. I’m usually don’t complain and really an easy guest. Need a nice clean bed. But this time was really bad. Spent the whole day tired because of the bad sleep. To bad because the hotel look nice and location is great.

    Couldn’t stay longer!

This is an excellent and intimate hotel located a few steps literally from the historic center with a variety of cafés/restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful--for example, when I checked in, the front desk person went outside and found a parking space for me! Wow! Very nice breakfast with personal service! While it has a limited bar, you can simply ask the front desk and they will even pour your drink for you! I'm definitely returning to this hotel!

The only issue I had was that the hotel was not that easy to find at first.

Everything was clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms. Perfect location. I would highly recommend Hotel Toural.

Nice people. They take good care of their guests. Reception and breakfast were superb.

Parking is a little scarce around. Not complaining really since we did it alright.

When I got there I was given a room with no view but was moved when I asked to a lovely room overlooking the square. It had big windows that I could open so I did not need to use the air conditioner. The staff were lovely, so accommodating and friendly! A special mention to Beatrice and Gabriel who served me breakfast. Wonderful service and really friendly. The breakfast was excellent! Really set me up for the day. The bed was wonderfully comfortable so I slept well and I loved the fluffy robe that was provided. All in all, a great experience!!

The cupboard was a bit weird, only hanging space and one shelf at the top but not a big deal.

Literally everything. Staff from desk to breakfast crew to room upkeep top shelf. Location perfect. Room exceeded expectations. Great breakfast. Solid nights sleep. Just a wonderful stay.

I didn’t stay longer. I usually try to find something to improve upon but this place is as perfect as it gets.

It’s a historical hotel nearby major attractions in town. The staff was very nice and was helpful. The breakfast is fabulous.

    It’s a bit pricey.

Great location and within walking distance to the Old Town. Very nice breakfast included. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room has a refrigerator. Got lucky and was able to park directly in front of hotel.

Beds were a bit hard for our liking.

While the room was quite dated, the staff at Hotel Toural more than made up for it, particularly Gabriel and the other gentleman who works at the bar and in the breakfast room. I'm sorry that I didn't catch his name. Speaking of the included a la carte breakfast, it was fabulous. When I mentioned I'm vegan they shocked me by bringing out vegan yogurt and cheese. The next morning they remembered I was vegan and brought out the vegan products before even being asked. While usually made to feel like an imposition for asking about vegan options and workarounds, here the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. Thanks guys. The staff at the front desk was always warm and welcoming too.

The room was dated, but large and everything worked.

Wonderful breakfast. Amazing location, really in the heart of the city. 5min stroll to the castle. The room is spacious, well lit and really comfortable

Great spot in the middle of Guimarães. Very helpful staff. Parking accommodations are easy. FYI entrance to hotel is around the back.

    Hard to find entrance.

    9GaryPosted on: 10-15-2024

Outstanding Breakfast! Incredible and personable waiter/bartender. Our room looked onto Toural Square from which we saw a midnight parade and speech celebrating Portuguese Independence. Central location to the main attractions, we didn't have to walk far.

Hard place to find as the entry is not on Toural Square, but behind. The streets are very narrow with curbs that we had to "hop" to make a turn onto the next street. Guest parking on the street is limited. Bed was a little soft, but O.K.

The hotel is located right in the old town area. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were terrific. The room was spacious and had a large bathroom. The breakfast was terrific and really set us up for the day.

Unfortunately, one of the advantages (being in the old town) is a disadvantage when parking. However, the staff looked after parking for us which was great.
