Beautiful place , heritage house in the historical town , very clean and friendly staff

Like dorm for university.In general, it’s value the money! The breakfast was really good, like the cartine in the university.The bed was not comfortable, unstable, when I turned, it was shaking, sorry for the people slept down. No socket for charging. But if looking at the price, it has big living room, big cartine, good breakfast, kitchen. Nothing can complaint. Also, quite some young people living there, for seeking work, or study, or temporary enjoying Guimaraes, which is one of my favorite places in the north Portugal. So if looking for a budget stay, this is definitely a good option.

Very nice staff and very clean. Decent location great restaurants nearby.

Not that it’s the Hotel’s fault but it is a no-frills hotel.

A delightful property on the edge of the historical core: the rooms are in a refurbished school. Staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was a treat. Easy access to the train station and the center.

Not so easy to reach the place as need to walk a distance (no car can reach the entrance). The room heater and water heater is not functioning towards the morning. We showered cold water in 3degrees.

There was no hot water when I checked in.it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was ok. The location and the vibe are excellent.

The rooms were really big and there was lots of space in the common area. Friendly staff.

Great to have a kitchen, but it was quite small if more than a few people were in there at once.

The Historic centre is a short walk away. The outside space, and lounge gave lots of options for work, or chilling out. The front looks out on the newly crowned UNESCO World heritage industrial site.

The rooms were not soundproof, so ear plugs are advised.

Great location with a beautiful view. Complimentary breakfast was simple and all you could eat.

This has nothing to do with the Hostel, however, the streets in the City were hard for us to navigate because there is a lack of street signs around the city.

My room was very nice and clean. The checkin was very informative. I shared the room with some other guests that were very nice

No air conditioning, mattress comfort problematic, breakfast very limited.

The facilities were very basic. Big hostel, lots of space but hard to meet other travellers: definitely not a social one. Room was a bit smelly, could have been the old sagging mattresses (time to upgrade). Shower wasn't warm.

Location is amazing, right in the center of Guimarães. As we checked-in we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff. The property is very big and spacious. Breakfast was good. The room had a lot of light because of the various windows, and the private bathroom is great for more reserved guests. It was comfy in general because of the hardwood floors, daylight and vintage windows, although they are not in amazing shape anymore. The surroundings of the property were breathtaking, the city is very beautiful.

Our room was fine, but it could have been cleaner. The walls were very dirty with traces of dead insects. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and sheets were very thin (it got a bit chilly at night). The shower wasn’t easy to manage, so in the end we didn’t take a shower as we wanted to. We ran out of hand soap and toilet paper. It was also very noisy, you can hear the other guests as if they’re inside your room, so we got jump scared at times.

It was within easy access and walking distance to the centre of town. My double room was extra large enough for a whole family, has separate shower and toilet and with open windows to see the out view. Good values for money

As it is hostel, there were noise from groups of young guest at night. A bit old so no telly, it would be nice if there was one.
