Our Stay at Hotel da Oliveira was great ! The staff was amazing all around not to mention the beautiful facility located centrally. Now if you like good gastronomy the Hotel has it¿s own Michelin rated restaurant the «  HOOL » a Must experience

Sincerely we liked everything, definitely will come back in a future trip Thanks to Ernesto the Manager for the wonderful hospitality as well. If you like a cozy friendly environment professionally managed this is the place to stay

Location, location, location. And parking!

Beautiful hotel in the square. Wonderful welcoming staff.

The only negative was the noise at closing time for the bar/restaurants in the square. Because of the narrow street and stone buildings the noise can travel. Only lasted a few minutes.

Room lighting was a little dim for our liking.

The spaciousness of the room in a beautifully restored building. The hotel is situated right in the center of the old town which provides access to all that is Guimaraes.

I loved everything about my stay at the Oliveria Hotel. I will stay there again.

The only thing that was inconvenient was explaining to Uber where to pick me up, since you have to cross the square to access a street. The girl at the front desk helped me with my heavy luggage, which was amazing.

Nothing beats this hotel’s location, I mean it doesn’t get any more central than this. It’s located between the two main squares in the historic center, within walking distance to all the major attractions in Guimaraes. Just perfect! The property itself is very modern and the rooms are very comfortable. I was scared of potential street noise, given the proximity to dozens of restaurants and bars, but the insulation is fantastic and the rooms are very quiet. The staff was excellent!

It’s impossible to reach the hotel by car, and the reserved parking is some 200m (600ft) away, so be ready to roll your luggage down the uneven cobblestone streets. We knew this beforehand so it didn’t bother us so much. Other than that, we’ve been to Guimaraes several times and this was our favorite hotel. We will be coming back!

Friendly, helpful staff and a fantastic location right on the central plaza, with convenient parking. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel.

Breakfast could be better organized — getting coffee required quite a walk from the outdoor seating area.

There was intense humidity in the bathroom, resulting in the wall swelling on one side and a musty smell.

Off-site parking instructions were unclear. GPS doesn't recognize the designated street. Air-conditioning in room did not work properly. Alerted front desk when night-time temperature reached 28C. AC cooled during day, but reached 27C on second night. Hence, the issue was either not addressed or resolved.

Lovely, good size rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Attentive staff. Perfect location. Honestly, a great find. Will stay again!

The staff is outstanding and make you feel very welcome. The rooms are well appointed and extremely clean. Breakfast was fantastic. I could not give a higher recommendation for a hotel stay. One problem - They are rated 4 stars when they should be 5 stars...

I can't think of anything I didn't like...

The location, the ambience, and the staff make this my favorite hotel in Portugal. This was my second time staying at the HOOL. I will be back.

The one thing that would make my experience here even better is a more comfortable bed.

Couldn't have chosen a better location. Right near the historic center. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff was great. Highly professional. The room was a little smaller than I imagined from the photo's, but very nice and comfy. Also didn't hear any noisy neighbours so that was great. Also the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

Perhaps the bathroom was a bit small. Little space around the bidet for my legs (I'm 1m86) and the shower was a bit small too, width wise, even though I'm not very wide. But it was very well designed and looked great. So really no complaints.

Very cosy and unique. Fabulous breakfast, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Room was initially cold, heating system is with AC, it took a while until room was heated up.
