Belvedere

We booked the junior suite and it was incredible! Amazing views of the lake, so quiet, amazing staff. We loved our stay!

It was in a beautiful location. The rooms were very clean, newly renovated. The staff were all lovely and very helpful.

Only that we had a street room which is adjacent to the kitchen and could be very loud at night.

Great location, with beautiful restaurant views. Room was decently sized for the location.

Bed was lumpy, probably the least accommodating staff that we’ve been to and No AC, said it was too early, we’re hot all nights there. Also, some restaurant staff seemed to just not like us, host very nice, but Priority to Italians and others

Breakfast was good. View was good. HOWEVER DIDN'T MAKE UP FOR ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE THINGS, AT ALL. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. PARTICULARLY IF A FEMALE SOLO TRAVELER. I have traveled to Europe for 30 years, 15 of which as a female solo traveler. I think this is my first negative review. It was just so disappointing. Only some items are mentioned below.

MISREPRESENTED. APATHETIC. BRING YOUR OWN DESK LAMP, ROOM CHAIR, ADDITIONAL LIGHTING IN ROOM OR FOR BATHROOM MIRROR, LUGGAGE RACK, DOLLY FOR SUITCASE TREK THRU PEA GRAVEL AND UP ROUGH WALKWAY TO/FROM HOTEL. PLAN TO PUT YOUR SUITCASE ON THE FLOOR. THERE IS A SMALL METAL STOOL YOU CAN MOVE FROM THE BATHROOM TO USE FOR YOUR CARRYON. DON'T EXPECT MORE THAN ONE HOOK IN THE ROOM, OR ANY IN THE BATHROOM FOR YOUR TOILETRIES OR HAND TOWEL.EXPECT TO ASK MORE THAN ONCE FOR OIL FOR YOUR BREAD, DON'T REFUSE THE PACKETS OF SALT (SUPRISINGLY NEEDED, FINALLY BROUGHT AFTER FOOD DELIVERED & REQUESTED AGAIN, BROUGHT WITH 2 PACKETS OF OIL AND ONE PACK OF PEPPER FOR LUNCH). ASK FOR WHAT YOU NEED FOR LUNCH BECAUSE THEY WON'T CHECK ON THINGS DURING OR AFTER, DESPITE ONLY 2 OTHER TABLES THERE AND MAN WHO TOOK LUNCH ORDER & OIL REQUEST JUST STANDING AROUND NOT DOING ANYTHING. ALSO RECOMEND: BRING FLASHLIGHT FOR HALL AS LIGHT ONLY STAYED ON 2 SECONDS AND HARD TO SEE KEY HOLE. I WOULDN'T USE ELEVATOR AFTER FRONT DESK HOURS BECAUSE IT ACTED WONKY, AND THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY BUTTON/ALARM/PHONE NUMBER.

Clean, comfortable, good food.Easy to get the boat to and from.This place is great if you want to be left alone

We had no problems.

It has a dreamy location on Isola di Superior (Pescatori) on lago di Maggiore. Windows/balconies facing 2 sides with scenary view of the lake. We are lucky to book the room for the last night before it closes down for winter. We may plan to pay a return trip with a book of suite.

Friendly and personable staff. Beautiful room with lake view and balcony. Large bathroom and shower. Dinner at the DL was excellent as was the included breakfast. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

There was a wedding at the hotel that was very loud all night long. The sound isolation at the room is horrible

A beautiful hotel, very well appointed on this wonderful island in Lake Maggiore.Had a wonderful meal in its restaurant on our first evening.

Location! The fun of arriving on the island. The room was lovely with lake views on two sides, and 3 balconies to choose from. Everything was clean and fuss free.

Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. We ate at the restaurant, could not fault service, food or wine, but it did feel a little soulless- not sure why - maybe too refined for the likes of me? ?

Great location, lovely dinner, very relaxing.

Breakfast offering was minimal and not a high standard, some staff not great.

The view

The view from the apartment is really beautiful, but the hostess did not bother to inform us before arrival, that the road to the town is closed due to a safety problem, even though we talked to her two hours before. Because of this we had to take an alternate route that took twice as long. The apartment is about 3.5 kilometers from the center of the town, but because of the twists and turns, the journey is about 12 minutes. The toilet and shower are very small. Due to the late arrival, we did not have time to buy basic necessities and there was not even a bottle of water, coffee or tea in the apartment. The couch in the living room was dirty and according to the hostess, guests who stayed in the apartment before us caused the dirt and additional damage. In short, the view is beautiful but not beyond that. We were disappointed...

Excellent boutique hotel! Loved the rooms they are updated and clean and feel luxurious for a very reasonably priced hotel on a beautiful island! We appreciated breakfast and the breakfast service as well as lovely views. I painted while on the island and ran out of white paint and the owner Paco was kind enough to get it for us from Verbania! I was really touched with the gesture. Highly recommend this place and we’re definitely coming back to Hotel Belvedere if we return to the Lake District!
