Boutique Hotel Elvezia

We loved the hotel Elvezia. The room was a good size, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and dinner was great with an amazing view! The staff was friendly and very helpful in scheduling our transportation off the island. The apperitivo was great and it's just a beautiful place to be and a beautiful hotel!

The property is wonderful. Understand though that the rest of the island closes up by 6pm including any other restaurants. You can eat on the mainland but will require a water taxi to return to Isola Bella after 6 pm. As long as you like quiet evenings and are content eating at the hotel you will love it.

We enjoyed our stay. Lovely historic building, We really enjoyed the balcony overlooking an ancient street. We had dinner at the hotel on the terrace overlooking the lake. It was only a 5 minute walk to the palace.

This hotel is my favorite in Stresa, stayed here three times now. And I have recommended it to many travel friends who went to Lake Maggiore instead of Lake Como. Select the waterfront rooms with the balcony, so you can see little Isola Pescatori in the distance change looks at dusk, night & dawn. This hotel defines tranquility for me - the perfect spot to get over jet lag and enjoy the Isola Bella gardens. I like the restaurant for dinner, also.

We enjoyed the breakfast options and were glad the restaurant was open for dinner-the only one- and we are there twice!

Didn’t love the sorry of tacky touristy stuff on the island.

The room was comfortable and very quiet.

While the food in the restaurant was very good, the service getting food and/or drinks was dreadful at times. Several times after waiting for a long time, we had to go "find someone." Some times there was np one around at all. Very frustrating. Also, if you try to eat on the terrace, the birds will attack your food and land right on your table. NOTE: Don't go to the Islands in the summer as you will roast in all the restaurants. There is NO air conditioning in any eating establishments. Had we known this, we would not have booked on the Island.

I am disabled and need a room with a walk in shower. The hotel advised that I would be better staying in the deluxe room. It was certainly huge, complete a balcony along the whole length of the room and a sofa. There isn't much to do on Isola Bella at night - it is either eat at the hotel or in the hotel next door. It is great if you are looking for a relaxed away from things stay.

Limited choice of teas at breakfast. Breakfast is brought to your table plus there is a small selection of items you take from the buffet. However only 2 types of tea bags were brought to my hotel which is a bit limited compared to other hotels. It is nit picking but given the level the hotel is aiming for it was noticeable.

The views and the tranquility. Excellent staff and personal treatment.

Nothing but the location

The rooms were dirty, sheets were stained, place very run down. Food at the restaurant was terrible.

Nice hotel on Isola Bella. Room very spacious and views were lovely from the balcony (see pics). The restaurant was nice and breakfast was plentiful! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Short ferry from Stresa, and you can take the ferry on to the other islands from Isola Bella which made a nice day trip.

Ferries only go once an hour-ish (photo of ferry schedule attached) and stop at 7pm so we had to get a water taxi back to the island after dinner which cost 10 euros each. Saying that it was very easy to organize through the hotel.

We absolutely loved the location of this hotel! We had amazing views of Lake Maggiore and a little balcony where we could drink our wine or coffee. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they went above and beyond with their service. Overall a beautiful and high end place to stay. A hidden gem!

The room with lake view was amazing. The staff is super nice, the hotel restaurant as well, you get a free glass of Prosecco! The location is perfect and magical

Literally everything, went for my birthday and thanks to whatever universal power, we were the only guests in the whole hotel! We also met the Chef who was absolutely lovely and whose food was divinely cooked, Abdellah who was incredibly attentive and asked to take a picture with me and just like Samantha who saw us coming back and, like the angel she is, brought us our bags so we didn't even have to carry them out; i sadly do not remember the name of the guy that checked us in, but he was just as special and amazing as everyone else. Exquisite people in a wonderful place that had divine food. Best birthday ever♥️love you guys! You made everything spectacularly special♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️til next year✨?

Absolutely nothing, everything was just perfect to the tenth degree✨♥️they literally made me feel like a famous superstar and treated both of us like royalty. Incredibly amazing?✨

The hotels location, friendly staff, service, great breakfast, and more. Ivan was wonderful and very helpful before our arrival & during our stay. He arranged for us to have our breakfast 30 minutes before the breakfast began, since we had to catch the ferry at 8 am. Highly recommend.

Our room was beautiful with a superb view from our lovely balcony. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel.The location couldn't be better. Ivan went out of his way to help us when our train to the airport was cancelled.Thanks so much, Ivan- you are wonderful!

Staff was great! Ivan at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was nice. Room was comfortable as was the bed. Was very quiet at night.

Small island, you had to take a water taxi to get anywhere after 7, no standard water ferry available. The only restaurant open after 5 pm was the hotel restaurant. Nothing open at night. If you wanted any night life you had to take a water taxi and they weren't easy at times to find

What a cute and cosy hotel on a beautiful island on the lake! It’s has the balance of both enough to sightsee ( the palace n garden are a must and are the highlight of isola bella island); and restaurants. I’m glad I chose to stay here, the commute to Stresa and the other islands are easy by ferry, which runs plenty and are always on time. Rooms are very clean and I had a lake view which was lovely to wake up to each morning. Staff of the hotel are so warm and friendly they’ve made my stay a great experience.
