Pros +
- Comfortable bed! Even though it was in the center of town, nights were quiet. Small but fun balcony. Breakfast was adequate with good coffee and croissants.
- I stayed at Hotel Primavera in Stresa in September 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect – right in the center, making it easy to reach all the main attractions quickly and to access every transport option (boats, trains, buses). For Stresa, the price is very good, offering excellent value. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a nice variety, especially the sweets which stood out. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and genuinely sweet, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. Despite being in the center, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, which was a pleasant surprise. My room and bed were comfortable, with a good temperature and reliable hot water, ensuring restful nights and relaxing mornings.Overall, this hotel contributed to making Stresa my number one favorite destination in Italy, and I will certainly note it for future visits.
- Central location in the village close to everything. But it also comes with the problem of noise, which can be disturbing, especially on the weekends
Cons -
- A small note: bathroom towels could be checked a bit more, but overall this did not affect the positive experience.
- There was a lot of dust in the room, both on the floor and on the curtains. The keep up of the rooms were so so with things sticking out. The design of the bathroom was very uncomfortable with super little leg space between the toilet and shower. Staff was ok but it didn’t feel like they care about anything.
- Nothing. Everything was great.

Great location near the ferry and train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, well maintained and a good size. Very comfortable mattress. Good variety for breakfast: cold cuts, bread, yogurt, fruit, breads, cake, hard boiled eggs.
Nothing. Everything was great.
Nice little hotel.
I realize that there's not going to be AC at most European hotels, but some fans would have been nice as it as very hot during our stay - and that is coming from a lifelong US southerner.
Amazing hotel. Great looking, clean, great location. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room was great and very clean. Very comfortable beds. The location is great and right in front of the parking and the boat stop in the lake.Recommending
Nothing. All amazing!
Centrally located. Not too expensive.
Rooms and hotel itself a bit dated. And there's no reason to provide the cheapest one ply toilet paper available. Also the towels could do with being replaced.
The location was fantastic. Near many restaurants and cafes plus the ferries to the islands.
I have stayed at this location on three occasions. However, this stay in room 434 was a little less as nice. The room need some paint in the room and the inside bathroom door trim looks terrible. They probably don’t know it but this has been bad for sometime.
Location very good, staff very helpful, recommended restaurants, excellent. Excursions around the lake exceptional, eventhoug out of season .Pallanza is a must see with its Vincent bistro.
Room, staff and pet friendliness
Lovely breakfast, basic room but comfortable bed and clean and quiet. Good location
Breakfast is great! The dining area is quite new and comfortable. Room is quiet since it has two doors inside the room.
Lift is too small and waiting for long time.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Great location and impeccable service during breakfast as well as the front desk.
All good!
Very close to everything. A short walk to the boats and ferries. Lovely to be surrounded with lively shops, restaurants and the piazza nearby. Quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff.
It is so close to everything. A few minutes walk to the ferries. Very close to piazza and all the restaurants. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Really enjoyed it.
Everything was good
Excellent location, very comfy bed, nice bathroom
I would expect toiletries and tea and coffee to be replenished every day.
Amazing location, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening, having a wine and looking down on the restaurants and beautiful street. Stresa is a lovely charming town with plenty of restaurants, shops, couple of bars and laid back vibe. The staff in the hotel were great, so friendly and accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night as we were having such a good time. Breakfast was grand, fresh fruit, croissants etc. Staff worked very hard. My room was clean, spacious and a lovely big shower. I think I had one of the newer or renovated rooms. My friend was in the room next door and hers was lovely too but just a bit dated compared to mine. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back.
Took a minute to figure out how to work the air con but nothing to complain about.
Perfect location, big rooms , clean and comfortable, friendly staff, nice breakfast. In old part of town with lots of shops and restaurants.
The hotel is in a great location for wandering around Stresa. Despite this, it was really quiet at night. Even the nearby church bells wait until 8am to chime. The staff were always present and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied, tasty and plentiful. We really appreciated being allowed early access to it on our last day when we had a very early start.
The breakfast was good and the location safe, lively, the restaurant across the road with delicious dishes.
Needs renovation, cracked tiles, quite outdated furniture.
