    • Great location in a truly amazing part of the world. The room was very small but given that we were only there for a night this didnt concern us greatly. The buffet breakfast was great. Room was accesible via lift which is a real bonus in Italy.
    • The location is great. It is very close to the train station and even the taxi driver suggest we walk instead of taking his taxi because the set price is 10 Euros and he did not think we should pay for it. :) In addition, it is very close to the shoreline and within a short walk to the town center where all the shops and restaurants are located. The breakfast is quite good and worth the 12 Euros. It provides free luggage storage, which was really convenient for us to explore more in town since our train was after 15:00.The staff were friendly and called taxi when we needed it.
    • Proximity to center and ferry dockClean nice roomPrivate underground parking in hotel

    Cons -

    • Room was very small.
    • Our room is in the new section of the hotel, but the air conditioning did not work and shower handle was broken. Maybe it is work-in-progress.
    • Bed was a bit hard

Historic hotel is fascinating, clean and well maintained. Great staff. The balcony room was really nice. The room is a decent size with a very nice bathroom. Great location walking distance from restaurants the old town and the train station

    Bed was a bit hard

Location-close to train station and waterfront. Value good for the town.

Location and staff were great. The room was very quiet and we enjoyed the breakfast very much.

Maybe another chair or space to set luggage.

Friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, lake view from room

It's a good no frills hotel in the quite side of central Stresa in a great location. The staff is welcoming and helpful.

No air - conditioning in the lobby / public areas which becomes very uncomfortable during the summers.Lots of mosquitoes around.

I would thorough;y recommend the Asian fusion restaurant just outside the hotel. They have a huge menu of over 300 plus ingredients and they do an all you can eat meal deal. The hotel food is basically burger, nachos etc.

The room was uncomfortable and air conditioning didn't seem to do much. There is little noise insulation between rooms , I heard lots of walking about from the room above me. Given this is an airport hotel it means guests could be coming and going at any time. It is a bit of a trek with your luggage to and from the hotel to airport and metro. My original idea was to stay by the airport and travel into to Milan for the afternoon and evening. But given the not straightforward route to the hotel I gave up on the idea. There are no signs to the hotel so It means everyone has to use smartphones to work out how to navigate to it, which isn't very environmentally friendly (though of course they are by an airport)

The location was very good for us as we arrived and departed by train. In addition, the location was only a couple of blocks from the lakeshore promenade and a short walk to the commercial areas for dining or shopping.

Really nothing. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable.

The staff is incredible nice , breakfast abundant and tasty, very good beds for a nice sleep resting after a full day walking and enjoing the wonders of Stressa and Lago Maggiore.

    Nothing to say.

We were here just for the night. The triple room was a good size with a small kitchenette. View of the old homes and lake from the balcony. Wide variety at breakfast. Enjoyed the freshly baked crostata. Close to pier for boat to islands. Would have loved to visit longer!

Very welcoming, old world charm, comfy beds, stunning views

Dated shower, slightly more hot food on the breakfast would have been nice but nothing that would stop us returning. Building work was a little off putting but not the hotels fault

Location in a short two block walk gently downhill from the train station. Hotel is a long block away from the lake. From there it is a short enjoyable walk to the center of town filled with restaurants and shopping. Quiet comfortable rooms. Breakfast included a wide array of foods. Breakfast staff could not have been more accommodating. Great cappuccino!

We spent three nights in Hotel Boston. There was only one problem, but it was really bad. Second morning we noticed that there are BEDBUGS in the bed! This was of course a shock. In the morning at the reception they first denied, then they believed us but didn't want to compensate the price we had paid for the third night. After negotiations we got another room, which was far away from the former one in the new part of the hotel. After this case, we also understood why there was a strong smell of chlorite in the room when we first time came in. It made us believe that the staff knew already that there have been bedbugs in that room.

    Breakfast was nice.

Location is excellent.Room was in the new part of the building. Bathroom is OK.Staff was very nice, especially in the breakfast restaurant.Food choice were OK.We enjoy our trip very much at lake Maggiore.

Superior room is smaller than we expected. There is a nice terrace (unfortunately it was too cold outside to use it).We missed a sofa or dining corner/table to sit down together.

A compact but comfortable room. Great view to north from balcony. Nice breakfast

Receptionist was very abrupt on arrival (4pm) asked for passports and gave us the key, no directions to lift or even what floor. Fortunately the other receptionist and night man where very helpful

    Not Recommend

I want to share my terrible experience with this hotel. I booked the hotel for three nights with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency when my grandmother's already poor health took a turn for the worse. I had to leave on Friday because I wanted to see her for the last time. Since I was the bride of honor at a wedding, I couldn't leave earlier. I asked if it was possible to change my booking for just one night. Booking.com contacted the hotel before check-in to request this change, but the owner refused to give us a refund for the two days we wouldn't be using the room. Aside from the lack of compassion in this situation, the room itself was not up to par. There was mold in the toilet, the double bed was made by joining two single mattresses together, the hairdryer didn't work properly, and they charged 3€ for chamomile tea! Additionally, the car park fee was 15€ per day. It felt like we were being taken advantage of. My advice is to avoid booking this hotel if you want to avoid ruining your holiday with such nonsense.

Great location in Stresa, a short walk to the lake and town. We had a view of the water from our room’s two balconies. The room was comfortable and they offered a very nice breakfast each morning. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed riding through town on the bikes that the hotel offers.

There were a few small issues with the room. Hairdryer was broken, heater didn’t work, and sink leaked. We would have liked a kettle in the room.

Fantastic location. Lovely, modern reception and really welcoming staff. Room was perfect - old fashioned but clean and everything I needed. The hotel very kindly held me bags for the day after check out without any issue. Check out at 11 was appreciated!

An in-room coffee machine would have been a nice addition.
