Very friendly staff at reception, great views from the rooms, nice breakfast with terrace on the pool side, great swimming pool, location is really good, great for families

Some fairly heavy traffic noise from the road nearby makes it impossible to sleep window open but all rooms have air conditioning. Bathroom are newly renovated , modern and clean but rather small

Rooms very hot had to open windows to air out. Impossible to sleep without windows open due to heating. It wasn’t that cold out either.

Location was good. The apartment was spacious and the heat worked. Good shower. Staff was helpful.

Several things didn’t work. No heat in the kitchen. No knives except for place settings. No kitchen towels. No way to make coffee except for instant. Light was out on the stairwell which was dangerous at night. Perhaps the hotel rooms are better maintained.

We had to leave a day earlier than expected and would not give us a refund for the last night even though we gave them a 2 day notice. Also the staff, except for one member, never smiled or interacted with us. We felt like we weren’t welcome.

Pool is very big and clean, enough sunbeds and nice towels. Drinks by the pool are nice and direct access to a bathroom. Location is convenient, parking is good and the gardens are beautiful.

Mattress toppers were shorter than the mattress. A total of 9 kids played, jumped with their toy water guns and inflatables from 9-15, however when I jumped in the pool afterwards, it was suddenly not allowed. Minibar did not work, when we asked the reception, the staff said they dont know how to fix it. So in 30 degrees we had to drink warm water in the hotel. Breakfast was a disappointment, coffee machine did not work.

It was on the main Boulevard. there were good mountain bikes to rent.

Our view was obstructed by a rap building with construction. The pool didn't open up until late and then closed at 7:30, so I never got a chance to even take a dip in the pool.

Reception was extremely welcoming and helpful; the room was ideal for our stay and more than adequately appointed. Location of the hotel, a brief walk from the town centre and a few paces from the lakeside, is ideal for a peaceful stay but offers easy access to nearby restaurants and activities. The breakfast buffet was varied and good for the price range.

The hotel provides a decent breakfast but does not provide either room service or evening menu. This is a minor negative, given the excellent location near the town centre.

Charming family run hotel in a very convenient location for Stresa. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room in the annex was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was fine but not to the standard we were used to having just come from Switzerland. We enjoyed our stay.

Bedroom lighting was far too harsh for a bedroom with open wire shades that didn’t soften the bulbs and no reading lamps

Lovely Hotel that looks onto the Borromean Islands on Lake Maggiori. Great breakfast and free secure on site parking. Easy walk into Stresa and handy for hopping onto a boat to tour the islands too

The hotel is beautifully decorated in an art deco / 1930s style, with lots of original features and ornaments.The grounds and pool area are very well kept.Breakfast was lovely with a range of food on offer including lots of fresh fruit.

The rooms are comfortable although the bathroom in our lake view room was tiny and the air con not overly powerful.Breakfast - my daughter is coeliac and the gluten free basket consisted mainly of individually wrapped biscuits and cakes (she didn’t mind!) but not much bread. Worryingly, there were other items in the basket that weren’t gluten free and she had a narrow escape on our first morning but luckily I double checked what she’d put on her plate before she actually ate it.
