    Pros +

    • Federico was very helpful and so kind. The location is great, very near port and church, quiet and near restaurants.
    • What a quirky fun little hotel in beautiful Stresa! The hosts were great and we loved all of the fun little touches (gnomes and antiques) around the place. The included continental type breakfast (yogurt, pastries, croissants, cheese and fruit) was quite good starting with amazing espresso (or whatever you desire) from their fancy coffee machine. The rooms are more basic but comfortable. Other than sleeping, we spent very little time in the room since there is so much to see and do in Stresa. The scenery is just breathtaking.
    • Great staff, great location, nice room- overall good value. would stay again

    Cons -

    • Not a complaint- maybe more choices w/ eggs; warmer for bread that could not fit toaster and better coffee.
    • Only suggestion would be that rooms decor could be updated. But rooms were clean and comfortable.
    • The bathroom was quite small and a little dated, but definitely not a big deal! Just plan on getting ready separately because there’s not room for 2 people in there at the same time.

Location was perfect for access to lake and the town. The owner was always available for assistance and help with service.

Only suggestion would be that rooms decor could be updated. But rooms were clean and comfortable.

The location was excellent - easy to walk to everything. Federico and his family were super accommodating and friendly.

Friendly staff and great location! The air conditioning was especially great given the current heat wave. Would definitely recommend!

It was the perfect location! Perfect spot close to the town square with all the shopping and restaurants AND right across the street from the ferry station. The owner is friendly and super accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Everything was great!

Great location yet very quiet. The owner is so nice and helpful. Lovely view from my window!

I extended my stay for 1 more night just because the bed was good and the location was perfect, but the main reason was too early check out at 10 am, for which I wasn’t ready.

Studying the reviews made before me and after, I see inconsistencies: promising of better wi-fi or any ACs for ages. I’m sure there has to be a better approach found in order to not create false expectations. Wish them luck with that!

The hosts were excellent and extremely helpful. They were helpful with directions and also getting us a reservation (at the last minute) at one of the restaurants in town that was full.Breakfast was nice with cheese, toast, fruit, cereal, ham, hard boiled eggs, pastries, coffees, teas, milk, soft drinks, hot cereal, etc. All very fresh and tasty!A great location within walking distance to everything in town and of course the ferries. We will definitely be back. Hosts really made you feel at home.

Awesome location for the price and the owner was fantastic!

There’s currently no Aircon but it’s being done in this winter so not really a con. Wifi can be spotty.

First of all, it is NOT a standard 3 stars hotel, but more like a B&B. It was very clean, and the welcome was warm thanks to Taiya and her son. The bed was good, and the location is truly convenient: few steps from the boats and in the heart of the town. The antique elements of decoration makes adds a special vibe too.

If you read the previous reviews, especially the answers of the owner to the people who got disappointed, you’ll see that the management has lack of soft-skills, which are essential in HORECA business. And I could just confirm that, clearly believe all those who were mistreated. Threatening people with police reports or blaming them for drinking- OMG! That’s awful. In my case there was neither single “thank you” for staying and paying $100 for no wi-fi and poor coffee, nor “sorry” about anything, and I can’t recommend that place unless you’re short of money or brave enough to handle disrespect.

The host was fantastic, very helpful and couldn't do enough to help make my stay outstanding. Had airport transfer problems on the way home and host was super helpful. Location is excellent, right in the centre of Stresa. Very relaxed hotel and my room even had a small view of the lake.

It was very convenient in a perfect position so close to the ferry and restaurants. It was convenient to have breakfast at the property. It was very comfortable clean and friendly.

    All good

The location in the centre of town was great, near shops, a great variety of restaurants and the lakeside parks and boat trips. We chose this hotel because of the lift and were very glad we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable with plenty of storage space. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and the coffee kept coming!

I have nothing negative to say.

Hotel Saini is located in the heart of the old town just a short stroll to everything you need in Stresa … the island ferries, restaurants and fantastic views. The hotel has an old worlde charm and the most helpful and accommodating staff and owner. Thanks Frederico for a memorable couple of days!!

I am satisfied with my experience and have no complaints

It was a great location, about 1 minute from the lake and where the boats depart for the Borromeo Islands. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They even gave me a bag and little cake when I arrived.

It would have been nice to have a little chair on the balcony. Some of the neighbours opposite were sometimes a bit noisy at night but this didn’t last long & wasn’t all night

Staying at Saini felt like being welcomed into a family. By arrival we were greeted by the owner, who since the first moment and for the duration of our whole stay was always present to make our stay as pleasant as possible. As well as the rest of the staff - with a positive and welcoming attitude, ready to answer any questions or just chat for a while. It didn't feel like being away from home - we were given all the necessary information to comfortably navigate the city and make the most of our time there, and by returning to the hotel in the evenings, we were warmly welcomed back. It felt like the staff genuinely cared about the wellbeing of the guests. Every morning started with some delicious freshly brewed coffee and a breakfast buffet, that contained enough one might need to start a day, and after breakfast all till the evening, a bar with some coffee and other drinks for very reasonable prices was available in the lobby. The central location of the hotel provides easy access to the main attractions of the city, as well as a variety of little shops, cafes and restaurants. And all that with a stunning romantic view over the roofs of little nearby houses and some mountains beyond them.

    location, elevator, owners were nice.

not enough hooks for towels, coats, etc, like all hotels.

The ladies who cleaned the room did a very good job and were very friendly. Thalia at reception was always very helpful and a good laugh. Federico the owner was always glad to give suggestions and have a chat. He is a hard working and conscientious person. I was surprised at how quiet my room was, despite being so centrally located. A few steps away from the lake, the two lovely churches and all the town has to offer.

Maybe an extra power point? But this is a minor matter.
