Hotel Milan Speranza Au Lac

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Stresa. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is great, but definitely outdated and not what I would consider a 4 star hotel. The rooms, decor, common areas, and the beds are very old.

Right across the lake and ferry. Perfect location. And right in the town , access to everything

Love the hotel, the staff, the facilities, the location, the view of the lake, the breakfast. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Stresa.

Nice breakfast, good location , nice looking hotel from the outside and a very nice breakfast area.

I booked a room with a view and only saw trees. Very thin and shabby towels in bathroom. For some reason the front desk stuff is incapable of calling a taxi at the the time that was requested. Totally mess up.

Lcation and parking. Very clean and cozy with decent breakfast included.

The building needs refreshment and sound isolation as you can hear and be woken up by neighbouring rooms. Staff should explain the price and forms of paying the parking which is just in front of the hotel even if its not their property.

Breakfast was good. Convenient to ferries. Nice location & view.

Would not assist with dinning reservations. Unable to get taxi to train station, although not the fault of hotel staff

Our room had a window toward the street. The noise level, up to about 3am was enormous and the windows are not double glazed. A real torture!

Very uncomfortable bed. No noise isolation. Noise from other rooms/ street is highly audible. Room decore is very old and outdated. They called it "classic and timeless". But it was not the case just old.Staff/ service were not very helpful with info about restaurants/ beaches etc.Breakfast was realy not great (similar to budget hotels)Super basic facilities / amenities for a 4 star hotel. (No coffee machine, water kettle, iron...) seems like they try to make you pay for as many things as possible. When we asked for an iron they said they can not give us one for "safety reasons" but we xan pay for ironing services.They offer parking for 20 eur a day while in the street its free or max 14 eur a day in a lot.The pool is in a different hotel and you need to ask reception for a "pass" ti go there (not to far but still)Tried to charge us for the full content of the mini bar even though we used 1 water bottle. Probably just an error but it was realy the cherry on the top.

Wonderful location and staff very professional and accommodating. Room was perfect size with all you need. Also easy to understand for English speaking and first timers.

Only complaint was noise from side alleys well into the night, but who can predict that, especially with being near piazza? Earplugs took care of it just fine. Worth the noise for the location and beautiful view!! Would stay here again.

We had a very large, very well appointed room with a lovely view of the lake and luxurious furnishings. The bathroom was also large with great fixtures and ample toiletries. Staff was extremely helpful when we asked for information or requested a taxi. Our room came with a very generous breakfast with a large variety of bread, cheese, meat, fruit and yogurt options and the usual breakfast drinks. Our stay could not have been better.

There was one issue with hot water (none) on one morning, however this was quickly dealt with. It did not occur again, so we felt that hotel handled it well.

Super happy with the breakfast and my stay at the hotel overall. I was not waiting for a balcony but my room did have huge balcony with I bet the best view from the hotel. Special thanks to the staff at the hotel reception for helping me get back to the airport when the trains were not moving at the particular weekend. All the best!

Nothing to dislike about this hotel or it's staff

The staff are to be congratulated they are all very welcoming and work excellently as a Team they are a credit to the hotel

Just one point more choice could be made to the hot breakfast for example poached egg one day and then change to sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes

the hotel is old and beautiful but it's a bit expensive. However, it is ideally situated on the lake front and walking distance to wide range of restaurants

Unfortunately there was a strong bad smell coming from the bathroom in the evening. I assume that the tubes are old and plugged, but maybe a bit of clearing out of those old tubes would help to clean out blockages and eliminate at least some of the smell.At breakfast, it would be nice if the bowl of "fresh" fruit was o n l y fresh fruit, without adding canned ones with its sugar water for filling.The elevator button lights inside the elevator and on the 4th floor didn't work, an electrician should look at them.Some of the towels are getting too thin and should be replaced by new ones.

Amazing view of Lake Maggiore from our balcony. Nice and comfy room. Friendly staff. Great location. Good breakfast with lots of choices. Parking at Regina Palace.
