Mangia's Favignana Resort

Nice traditional Italian beach resort - not too modern or "over built". Good selection activities such as tennis and boating.

The grounds were nice. The personnel were very helpful.

The rooms need to be renovated. I rained one night and our room got flooded. Also mold in the shower.

Inside the room there were some ants ? especially inside the bathroom...

the resort was beautiful

limited range of food, not as many amenities or services as expectedcheck in was delayed 1.5hr

Breakfast was excellent. Situation was excellent. Outdoor facilities excellent. Plenty of sunbeds: around pool, in lush gardens, on decking over volcanic beach to sea.

Hotel is graded 4*. Bedroom and bathroom were barely 3*. Basic decoration. Basic furniture. No chairs.We asked to move rooms but were told that all rooms were the same. Staff indifferent.

Location and staff

Property needs maintenance. Buildings are worn in need of paint and repairs. Bathroom was moldy. Landscaping is unkept

Pool and outdoor facilities were very good. Provided beach/pool towels. Good and tasty selection at the breakfast buffet, restaurant in resort was good too.Ideal location for the beaches and has a rental kiosk for bikes. Clean rooms with daily cleans.

Cocktails were quite poor at the pool and restaurants, especially for full prize you pay.It’s a 3 star resort rather than 4. Out dated furniture, TV (with no signal) and overall amenities - no iron, no kettle. Transfer is slightly inconvenient as it runs only once every hour and can hold only 8 people - first come first serve or whoever runs/pushes in first. Cannot imagine how difficult it would be during the peak period.

Beautiful location and the hotel, friendly staff, good huskily and taste in the restaurants

It was hard to get read of the ants in the room, but I believe that is a downside of the location (not so much of them but still a bit irritating)

The pool and sea views were amazing to just relax and do nothing all day. The pool was amazingly refreshing, and chairs comfy! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It could have been a bit more communication about where everything was, what services were on offer. Also would have loved to have a kettle, wine glasses, tea /coffee in the room.

Excellent breakfast and evening dining-all outdoors. Lovely very large pool, although the water was quite chillyStaff were fabulous, helpful and always smiling.

We had an amazing room looking out to sea, but on 2 of the four evenings there was a very loud outdoor cinema in the huge amphitheatre which was blasting away until around 10:30pm. Completely destroyed any peaceful atmosphere. Similarly, almost all day long loud music was played around the pool. Indeed, at supper one night they had two different sets of speakers blasting out different music from different directions, which was especially unpleasant.

The pool and restaurant was lovely. Maurizio was an excellent host and went out of his way to provide comfort and service, which we really appreciated.

There were a lack of umbrellas around the pool, which meant unless you got there early you had to lie in full sun. Just a couple more umbrellas would mean that everyone could have the option of shade.

I liked the location on the sea. Also, the artistic set up of lanterns, burning fire etc

The property needs repair as some of the steps were cracked.

Bad luck with ants in the room (we were in a rural area aftwr all) , but the problem was fixed swiftly by the staff

Staff are amazing, the location and views are incredible, it’s a special place to stay

More gym facilities and a spa would make this hotel even better

Clean and calm hotel. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the pool area, which was located by the sea.

Located a few kilometers from the centre, we found it difficult to find restaurants to eat dinner in the nearby area. Would be nice if bicycles were included.

Great location, with a direct sea access. The room we reserved was front beach whit a fantastic sea view. Staff professional and kind.The Favignana island is a magnificent location where to spend holidays

Mangias could improve the restaurant service for the half board. Same Menu for too many days. For long stay this is a bit challenging, specially and the end of the sesoon with also not the availability of the whole plates

the beach access is very nice. rooms and bathrooms are big.

- the rooms and the resort are quite old, while at the appearance it looks just renovated. - the cleaning personnel starts shouting and knocking at the doors at 9:30 am, so if you want to sleep better to put earplugs or tell the reception.- The bathroom was infested by ants- there is no gym but only tennis and paddle courts- personnel is rude, sometimes they don’t even great at the reception. the worst was at breakfast where waiters/es made a lot of noise, didn’t wait for customers to pass on the corridor and went first - the basic of a decent service. service is definitely not adequate for a 4 star resort. there is a wide variety at breakfast but the food quality is low. only white bread, no other options even if asked, cereals of cheap quality, no Greek yogurt, coffee by machine. for 4 days there were no teaspoons at the table, only available in plastic.- water in the room (2 small bottles) is given only at the arrival and not provided every day, which is done everywhere
