Beautiful, comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. Loved the spa.

Staff, room, and location were awesome. The spa was a welcome activity after hiking.

The fridge did not work and they did not have a replacement. Had to store our perishables in the reception room fridge.

Very good location, near to many hike trails.

The bathroom was without any kind of soap, but everything else was there.

Breakfast, evening meal, wellness, Wilson-bar and the sorroundings of the hotel were excellent. Lanovka ticket to Hrebienok included in hotel price is a good idea. Parking was good due to low-season.

Dressing of people at the meals. May be dressing code would be good idea. Not to participate breakfast and evening meal in flip-flop slipppers, socks, T-shirts, etc. Bring the feeling back as it could have been in earlier times.

The hotel impressed with its spacious and clean room, as well as the excellent service from the staff. Breakfast was fantastic, with unforgettable coffee from the live station! Convenient transfer to the ski resort and a great SPA area to relax after an active day. Highly recommended!

But as they don't speak English very well and yes, not everybody need to speak other language, but at least the management should think of printing an English menu for the dinner at half-board, especially when they clearly can see there will be guests from foreign country, too and/or at least to learn to translate that daily menu! I would expect it from a big international hotel..Bathroom shower is very small (even if the bathroom itself is huge) and not totally clean.Beautiful building with beautiful interior, great location, great wellness section.Room temperature was way tooo hooot..

‘Grand’ yet unpretentious hotel in a picturesque setting. Friendly and helpful staff, family friendly, generously spacious rooms.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and large, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was great, a large selection of hot and cold dishes, and every morning there were some new dishes to choose from. The hotel is excellently situated, just a few minutes from the electric railway stop. All the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. We were there during the International Women's Day and all the women were given a flower. It was very nice. The wellness area is big, there is a swimming pool, but not suitable for swimming. The water and air temperature is high. There are also several saunas, a small pool with cold water, there is also a bar. We will definitely return to this historic hotel.

There were very minor maintenance issues in the room like. Phone didn't work, Shower head was not screws properly, toilet brush head was fooling.

The hotel preserved its historic heritage and I really felt set back into more glamorous times without all the menaces of the 2020s. The breakfast and dinner is excellent. So is the staff at the restaurant and bar and their manager. The spa area with pool bar, heated pools and a spacious hot pool/tub is amazing. Location right next to the cable car up to Hrebienok couldn't be better.

Im contrast to the nice staff at the restaurant and housekeeping, the personnel at the reception desk can be called "reserved" at best. There was also one particular unfriendly and non helpful guy working at the reception, that ruined our first experience during arrival. Standard rooms are quite small. Some furniture is outdated. The hotel provided a mat for our dog that had numerous pee stains on it and never saw cleaning. A small hygenic scandal.

spent Christmas there and I appreciate the effort of the staff for delivering a professional service while I could feel home. The room and spa, restaurant was excellent.

Limited parking space - not the hotel's fault and the bar could have longer opening hours.

Fantastic amenities offered at the hotel - from the half baord basis which offered great meal options, to the skibus and the gopass perks. Great option for those who love winter sports as you have everything with no more than a 15 minute drive.

The hotel is very nice from the outside and centrally located.

Inside the hotel is a bit oldish. I am not sure when it was last fully renovated. The carpets are quite hold and the chairs in the restaurant probably 30-40 years old. Quality of the food certainly below standard for a 4 star hotel. Receptionist just said "we don't provide this service" when we asked if someone could help us with the luggages. I think that this hotel has a lot of potential but would be better owned by another manager. Finally check out is a 10am, as opposed to standard 12.

It is a beautiful hotel with lots of history, beautiful premises and great location. It is well kept in its original design. The rooms are newly refurbished in a very nice style, and the beds are super comfy. However, the bathroom is only partially new and not well designed. The staff is about 90% excellent with some inconsistencies in customer service. It is very Slovak to be cold and not to smile, but weird to see it in hotel and restaurant staff. However, there were exceptions in staff. The dinner food was great, as well as the head waiter was very attentive and super nice. I loved the spa, but be aware that there is no bathing suit in the sauna. You will be provided with sheets for a cover. We also had lunch in the launch, which was delicious with a very attentive staff.

You can hear everything that the next room is doing in the bathroom. I woke up (not on purpose) at 6 am every morning with our neighbours using their bathroom. The bathroom is spacious, but nowhere to put your things, with one slanted glass shelf above the sink. Also, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The door around handles was dirty, and the shower was mouldy at the bottom. I did ask the reception to clean the door and fix a towel handle as it was broken. While they did fix it all straight away, and i appreciate it, there was no apology, which again i found it strange from a hotel staff. The breakfast is OK. I wasn't impressed and was very disappointed with the scrambled eggs, which were dry and tasted sweet. There are choices but found it limited. Unfortunately, because of the noise coming from the neighbours bathroom I didn't find the place comfortable enough to stay there again, which is a shame as it is a beautiful place. And I plan to return to Tatras in summer.

We truly appreciate the First Republic theme. The environment exudes a vintage charm, rich and timeless, rather than relying on modern facilities. The wellness area is spacious and inviting for everyone, featuring a grand, newly installed whirlpool bath.

The bathroom could benefit from better maintenance and improved cleanliness.

Hotel was very clean. Great location.The spa was excellent.

Staff not all that helpful and not friendly.No business area to do any work. There was no normal desk in the room.No counter space in bathroom.WIFi in public areas was poor.
