Petrus Hotel

The room was good, everything worked. Bathroom, lights, no problems.Breakfast buffet was typical basic offering.Climate control was functional.Building is older, price was reasonable for the property and time of year.I stayed one night, place is about right for that.

WiFi quality was uneven.

The hotel has a great location! Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kindly stored our bicycles.

The hallways were not as clean as the room.

Good basic breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Serviced daily. Great location and secure garage. Very friendly staff. We will be staying here for our next trip to Chaves.

Wifi coverage is not the same in all areas of the hotel.

Perfect. Close to Chaves castle.Shops , restaurants ,hotel car park.Staff all ways welcome ,plus ready to help me.The breakfast was so delicious,prepared by a wonderful Brazilian lady.

Location, staff helped to the best of their ability

This is old hotel that needs some maintenance. The water coming out of the taps in our bathroom was brown (probably from rust) and I had to run it for a long, long time before it became clear enough to shower in.It would also be nice if the reception had some glasses they could give guests instead of the paper cups provided, and if there was a teapot, or some source of hot water so guests could make a cup of tea.

Difficult to reach the town centre by feet and vice versa. Literally a have a shower with cold despite that start coming out when I was about to finish a shower.

The Staff was very friendly informative and hardworking always available to give information no matter what time of day.The rooms were large , Very clean, You could look out from your balcony and see the action going on and you could go downstairs and be in the center of it all.The parking in Chaves is rough in the summer but we were given a access to the garage all we had to was ask.Very happy we stayed there and will likely continue to do do.

Nice staff. Great location.

During our stay me and my friend had to work remotely. There's issues in the wifi configuration that creates stability issues. 2.4 GHz Channel width of 40 Mhz instead of 20 Mhz in some APs, APs in the same area using the same channels. There's some easy work to be done that can make the wifi work better. I will send some of these suggestions to the hotel in the next days, so they can ask a revision of the configuration to their support team.

I'm too old to figure out how to get the TV to work. Why does everything have to be so complicated

Furniture is a bit outdated, but for the money it's a great little hotel with private parking and lovely staff ?

Good location, comfortable bed, air conditioning, breakfast good.

Very dated, needs refurbished. A lot of mould around windows and curtains in our room. A little difficult finding it as the hotel sign and reception doesn’t stand out, it looks closed
