    Pros +

    • The hotel was beautiful in appearance and decor. There were sweeping ocean views from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to accommodate our late check in preparing food and showing extreme hospitality and kindness. This place is absolutely gorgeous.
    • The beach was amazing and the pool bar restaurant was nice
    • It was everything I wanted in a resort destination. It’s dated and a little funky but super cool at the same time. has its own private beach. very close to the town of villasimius which has lovely little restaurants and shopping.

    Cons -

    • We were placed in a room right next to the events area. There was a wedding that night, and we had to listen to loud bass music until 12:30 AM. We called reception twice, and even though we suggested changing rooms, the receptionist laughed and was disrespectful. There were no available rooms and no other solution offered. Then, at 8:30 in the morning, staff started moving furniture and making a lot of noise. When we asked for some kind of compensation, we were told to wait until the end of our stay to “see what they can do,” but in the end, they said that since we had already paid, there was nothing they could do.
    • No screen on the room so we got a few mosquitoes
    • Didn't like dinner at the restaurant.

A dream hotel, absolutely perfect. I enjoyed every second there. The sea view from the balcony was breathtaking. I really hope to return to this perfect hotel! The hotel staff is very professional and charming. I especially received excellent service from the receptionist Serena and the breakfast waiter Frederic. Thank you very much to everyone!

    Nothing! Amazing hotel!

All was good. We have a half board option, and the foot was really good. Beach perfect.

The hotel is beautiful. My first impression is colorful and alot of art everywhere. I liked to walk around and enjoy their arts. My room has a balcony at a corner with sea and mountain view. I am really happy with my balcony. The bed is very comfortable but there are no facilities and material in the room to make myself a cup of tea nor coffee. No snacks but only a few bottles of water in the fridge. Room was cleaned everyday. There are shampoo , shower gel and body lotion provided in the bathroom with Sardinian fragrant.Breakfast is served from 8am to 10:30am. For me it's basic but enough. The waiters and waitress work hard to keep everyone happy and efficient. Somedays we can sit inside, someday we can only sit outside.Facilities is limited. A small pool with 2 levels and the pool sunbed area is small. It has a nice, cozy garden full of nice plants. I was there in Octorber so there are not so many flowers . I believed that in April, May , June, July will be alot more flowers blossoming. There are alot of sunbeds in every corner in the garden on the grass with a very nice view of the beach and sea. I love the long soft sand beach right in front of the hotel. The sunsets is super there. One thing is that guests cannot order any food nor drinks on the beach which is the first time for me...Unfortunately, 3 boat excursions which I booked were all cancelled due to bad weather during my time. Abit dissapointing because it is a special trip for me. Half of my trip had not so good weather. A place like this, there is not much to do when the weather is bad. I tried to book other inland tours but no success. The hotel is walking distance to town and other beaches. If you are not a walker, you can always take a taxi. It costs 15 euros one way to town or to another beach. I went to Porto Giunco, a nice cozy smaller beach on the other side which is not far from Stella Maris.

Attitude of 1 staff at the reception. She does not give me a welcome feeling, arrogant and impatient. But Valeria, Martina and Maximo are great. Warm, welcome, helpful. Patience. I appreciate them alot.

Beach and grounds were amazing. Very relaxing. Food good and rooms very clean. Pool

Charging extra for beach sunbeds. But we just relaxed in the gardens and walked to the beach which took no time at all

    Near the beach

You had to pay for water and there was no kettle in the room You had to pay for a beach umbrella The shuttle was extremely expensive It wasn’t kid friendly unfortunatelyThe tv channels were not very good -no access to netflix

Location by the beachPrivate parkingNice room despite being next door to housekeepers cupboard and they were very noisyBreakfast selection Gardens are pretty

Reception staff unprofessional and inefficient Restaurant staff looks miserable and are very slow (exception is friendly Gianni and the bar staff who knew how to smile and be pleasant)Dinner food expensive for the small portions and not enough optionsHotel vibe is wrong, something missing there

First off, the location is amazing! The water during the first week of August was extraordinarily clear and the temperature was just right to offset against the day's heat. The hotel restaurant was top notch, and they were the heroes of our hotel stay. The food quality and variety were excellent as they changed the menu daily. Some of the waiters were particularly nice and helpful. They don't wear name tags, but I recall that one bar staffer, Inna, was very helpful and polite. Half board is highly recommended. The view from our "sea view" room was outstanding. We also found a lovely spot in the shade of some trees to enjoy the view outside when the temperature was getting a bit to warm. You'll see below that we ran into some bumps in our first days, but we were able to recover and find work arounds to make up for the initials shocks and enjoy the stay. The garden area between the hotel and the beach was quiet and well maintained. The beach itself was not crowded (probably owing to the cost of "beach service" - covered below) and pretty peaceful. The room temperature ended up being good, but you have to ask the front desk to adjust the temperature because you can only adjust plus/minus three degrees on your own.

Ok, now the downsides. Starting with the Airport Transfer, the hotel will just book you a private vehicle for €110 each way. Granted it's an hour drive from the airport, but we thought there would be something provided by the hotel at a significant discount, which is one reason why we booked this hotel in the first place. Second, on arrival, we were notified that we couldn't use the hotel's beach chairs, even though were paying around €600 per night, and they wanted another €100 per day for "beach service." We declined to pay the extra fee and were just given access to towels, but when we went to the beach, we were told only the provided beach chairs were allowed on the private beach and we couldn't lay out our towels. When we raised our concerns with a young receptionist (they don't wear name tags), she surprisingly suggested we could walk to another beach. When we informed her that we selected this hotel for this specific beach, she shrugged without providing any other viable options or suggestions. When we entered the room, it was unexpectedly small, and the "king-size" bed was really just a queen-sized bed. Probably the most egregious issue was the fact that the hotel does not provide any free water, and you cannot drink from the tap. With temperatures of 30C-35C daily, a daily service of water would be warranted, but instead you must pay €2 per half liter and €4 per full liter. When we asked the same receptionist about the water issue, she replied dismissively that we would have to pay. When we asked about options for shops, she informed us that there were shops, but we'd need a car to get there. When we replied that we didn't bring a car, she said nothing. She declined to share that the hotel has electric and regular bicycles for €10 and €5, respectively (we found this out later) or that the nearest shop was just a 13-minute walk away.

The most important that the hotel has a private beach. And this is in a bay which is a destinaton for excursion boats and yachts - it looks so amazing. The garden is beautiful the hotel is well organized and maintained. Rooms are well equipped and clean, you can enjoy your breakfast and dinner with a view on the sea. The staff is friendly. Many of the guests are returning.

It is not something I did not like but maybe good to know. The hotel is at a quite location - if you want to go to the village for dinner or shopping you either walk a half an hour or call a cab or bike.

Beautiful hotel. Desk staff excellent. Dinner and breakfast staff and food so so.

    No coffee until 8am.

    8SabrinaPosted on: 6-30-2024

The view from the balcony, the garden around the pool and the view at the sea. The breakfast buffet offered more options than usual in Italy.

I find the prices rather high, especially for food.

    9NatashaPosted on: 6-2-2024

Relaxing place, nice beach, helpful stuff. Joyful place for art lovers. Good food. Amazing see view.

The breakfast hours are very early, but the stuff is really nice and will let you eat longer. Some of the stuff at the bar could be more engaged and look if there are guest that need to be served.

    8SabrinaPosted on: 6-2-2024

Location and garden is amazing, rooms were very clean, it has elevators

The prices for food were rather high

    8ElenaPosted on: 5-31-2024

Staff was pleasant and food was good. Beach clean and location excellent, good proximity to marina which is why we were there.

Everything was good except being charged for waters which I would think is standard for a hotel to provide, at least for the initial days. For a four star hotel, I was surprised at those charges. Also, we had a major problem with ants in our room for the entire stay. It didn't seem to phase the staff when we mentioned the problem. Nothing offered as an apology for this issue which was unacceptable for a property of this caliber.

    7MartinaPosted on: 10-16-2023

The views were stunning. We had paid for an ocean view room so could watch the sunset from the balcony. Didn't swim in the pool because the beach was so nice. Breakfast was lovely. It was a great location and close to Villasimius. Quirky hotel with lots of wall art.

Rooms were a bit noisy. Difficult to communicate with staff at breakfast and dinner with the Italien/English barrier.
