About
Featuring a private beach along the Mediterranean Sea, La Villa del Re offers a variety of water sport facilities. The hotel also offers an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, and bar. The elegant, air-conditioned rooms and suites all come with satellite TV, a mini-bar and safety deposit box. Each private bathroom includes a bathrobe, slippers and free toiletries. Most rooms have a balcony or patio, except classic rooms. A là carte breakfast, with sweet and savory dishes, is available daily. The elegant restaurants Le Palme and Bellavista Grill serves traditional Italian and regional dishes, prepared daily with innovative techniques. Front row tables in our restaurants at dinner can be booked with a supplement of € 30,00. Both restaurants have a “dress code” which foresees that you do not come to the restaurant in a bathing suit. For dinner we suggest a smart casual attire and men are required to wear closed shoes. Guests can enjoy water sport activities, such as windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkeling and canoeing. La Villa del Re is located just 10 minutes' drive from the towns of Cala Sinzias and Costa Rei. Villasimius is a 20-minute drive away and Cagliari Airport is 1 hour's drive from the hotel.

Pros +
- Wonderful food, beach, and pool. Excellent staff made us feel welcome and warm.
- Our stay at this luxury hotel in Sardinia was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the kind of genuine hospitality that’s rare to find. Francesca and Elenora really helped us navigate the island to the fullest, making sure we spent our time at the right beaches and sights. The hotel itself is stunning — beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, and set against a breathtaking backdrop of sea, sky and mountains. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. A moment that really stood out: we casually mentioned how much we love bomboloni, and within minutes, a plate of freshly made ones appeared at our table — still warm, perfectly dusted with sugar, and absolutely delicious. It’s that kind of thoughtful, attentive service that sets this place apart. Thank you Diego and the amazing staff! If you're looking for refined luxury, personalized service, and the warmth of true Sardinian hospitality, this hotel is the one. We’re already dreaming of coming back.
- Very well located property. Proximity to the beach was perfect and pool area was lovely.
Cons -
- Room felt a bit tight for 2 people and the bed is not as comfortable as I would expect. The mattress is oldSchool so if someone moves the other person feels it.
- Everything was perfect.
- The view from the room wasn’t what I expected, absence of speakers/music on the left side of the pool where are the chairs. Not sure if there is anything else around except the hotel… not the nicest location but quiet and beautiful.

The personal was amazing, the property is beautiful and high-end luxury feeling. The kitchen was amazing too.

Incredible location. Lovely staff - We were particularly impressed by the Sardinian staff that took the time to share some of the magic of their island!
La Villa Del Re has managed to walk that thinest of lines between treating you like family and treating you like royalty. From the second we arrived any potential stress or anxiety was taken out of our hands. My best friend and I were desperate for an escape and we found it here surrounded by white sand beaches, a crisp infinity pool, views over the shifting mediterainian water and hosts who were willing to go above and beyond at every opportunity. One negative I will give is that they have now ruined French Toast for me, as I'm not sure I'll ever find one quite so delicious.A special thank you to the staff in general and Francesca from reception in particular, thank you for an incredible weekend. We leave today feeling calm, refreshed and desperate to return.
My only note is that the restaurant's vegitarian options were limited to say the least. However, when we inquired, special considerations were taken and three options provided. I will add that the dish that my friend chose was so good she litterally wiped it clean.
Excellent service standards, staff brilliant. Beach really good with friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful pool and pool side services with wonderful views.
Stay was too short!
Amazing setting, beautiful beach & pool, fabulous served breakfast, impeccable service -could not ask for more.
should have another bar open in the evening in the hotel & not rely on the pool bar.
The staff were so attentive! The property is beautiful.Facilities and amenities are great.Restaurants were amazing!Simply incredible.
Nothing!
The staff was very nice, we had an amazing room with sea view and a very big terrace which definitely made the experience much nicer.
We didn’t like that there was no mini bar, only an empty fridge. We had to order room service for drinks or snacks which we had to pay extra 5 euros for the drinks delivery. There is also 10 euros extra for food when you order room service. First time we see this kind of extra charges. Also keep in mind that there is no coffee machine in the room. For a five star hotel and mostly in Italy where they are famous for the coffee not to have one in the room was a little bit disappointing.
The staff were delightful . Very friendly and helpful . The grounds , hotel & our room were spotlessly clean . Housekeeping was excellent.
The wine list was ridiculously expensive . The lunch/ snack menu very limited . I was disappointed with the food in the Palme restaurant - we’ve eaten in some fabulous places this was just ok .The breakfast choice was extensive and generous portions but I worried about wastage of the food on the tiered plate . It was not chilled & I’m guessing a lot was thrown . These niggles tarnished what could have been an excellent stay .
Outdoor spaces are perfect and dreamy
Rooms are small and a bit outdated. Not worth 700.- a night.
The property and location is beautiful - set on a stunning part of the coast with amazing views and a lovely private beach. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive :)
We paid extra for a room with sea views, but with the hotel building partially obstructing it, as well as trees covering it, I don’t think it is worth the extra money.25 euros for a cocktail and the pool bar lunch menu were both too expensive. They also charged extra for certain breakfast choices - overall it just felt like they were trying to rip you off a bit.We had ants in our bathroom and bedroom. We woke up early one morning before the usual breakfast time to go on a trip and so they offered a breakfast box which was very basic and felt like a child’s packed lunch - it didn’t reflect the quality of the hotel. The bedrooms need better sound proofing, as you can hear all the other rooms.
The service was amazing and great facilities I would definitely stay here. We did go to the north end but the traffic was crazy and we ended up coming back.WORTH THE MONEY TO STAY
The food for the prices more particularly the fine dining could have been better. It was still good food just not great and for the money the food cost you want amazing Lunch was goodAnd please spend some money on better pillows and beds. The pillows were lumpy and crap
Amazing food, wine, staff, pool, beach, views
I should have stayed longer
Vila Del Re was amazing! My sister and I finished our 5 1/2 week European getaway at the Vila over 3 nights and it was perfect. We loved that there was no children, the rooms were beautiful and clean and the location was just beautiful on the beach. We had the best of both resort and beautiful beach. The staff were wonderful and accommodating to all our needs and the onsite restaurants were great.
The rooms are not sound proof and noise carries. They could also improve the pillows.
Nobody can speak proper english. They scracthed our car. They broke my luggage. We paid much money for the scratch. People was acting fake. I heard Bonjurno 30 times every morning. Nobuddy was asking real questions. I hope I will not come back again.
The whole resort is magical in every way , the staff are incredible, food exceptional, rooms are beautiful, pool and beach are breath taking
Need softer pillows and coffee pod machines in the rooms would be perfect
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful infinity pool, lovely rooms and good facilities.
Most of the staff insisted on speaking English even if spoken to in Italian. The food selection at the pool bar and bar grill was mainly bland international fare with only very few locally inspired dishes. Given the amazing Sardinian cuisine this was disappointing. The singer when we had dinner at the Bar Grill was awful.
The location and views are incredible here, peaceful and the staff were fantastic.
The rooms are not worth the money. I expect a lot more for the money. The room was very small and dated. No coffee machine and basic facilities. The bathroom was clean but dated and the shower was weak and needed updating. The breakfast included was nice but the options were limited. Again, for the money I don’t expect to have pay additional costs for items eg. Avocado was charged as an extra at a ridiculous cost.
