Pros +
- A lovely view overlooking the river across to the city. Good sized hotel room with very comfortable bed. Good hot shower. A good burger place just a few doors up if you are seeking dinner nearby. Restaurant owner doesnt speak English but went beyond our expectations to provide us with a great meal and drinks.
- Nice hotel with friendly staff. The inside was nicer than the outside of the hotel. The view of the river was quite nice and it was close enough to town to go into it. Laundry facilities were close by.
- The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed soaking in a nice tub after a very long walk on the Camino.
Cons -
- Hotel is out of the city across the river. There isn't a lot of eating places nearby and it is a bit of a walk off the Camino trail. Nothing to fault with the hotel, but next time I would prebook accommodation in the city closer to food options.
- It was a little bit off of the Camino trail.
- It's a little ways off the Camino road, then backtracking. The walk is lovely though, until after you cross the bridge, then the streets are congested and I didn't feel as safe as on the Camino trails. The outside of the hotel looks a bit sketchy but inside was very nice. It was difficult to find anywhere to eat dinner at night and I wouldn't want to be outside in the dark there.

Confortable, clean, good price. Breakfast very good, a buffet well worth the price. Staff verify nice: they accepted our bags well before checking without additional cost.
Location is not the best to get to the main places to visit
Seeding part of town, the room smelled like smoke and bed were hard as a rock
It really looks better inside than from the outside. I stayed there during my Camino. The hotel is a little bit on the outskirts, BUT as a compensation it offers incredible views on the river. Breakfast is quite moderate, would be great to have some eggs and veggies. The rest is OK.
Great shower, well stocked room, friendly people .
Breakfast very expensive. Don pepe too small
Nice big double room with view over the river, big bathroom and hot shower. They have slippers and bathrobe, also complimentary sweets
It is a bit dated, remote did not work, city centre is the other side of the bridge but not far
Room - store our bikes - staff- location
The hotel on the outside looks a little dated, which is why we were quite surprised when we entered the building, and even more the room. The room was nice, with a comfortable bed, enough room to move around and space for storage. The bathroom was great - spacious, clean and with a big shower.
My only complaint is that having booked a room without breakfast, it was less than ideal being put in a room right next to the entrance to the restaurant area, and thus being woken up earlier than we would have liked by the sound of plates and cutlery.
Very comfy room, great location with a fabulous view of the river. The staff were very friendly
Quaint old-fashioned hotel overlooking water and the city. Good value for money.
Dirty windows, thin walls and a saggy bed. Still, it was all fine for one night.
Nice view to the river, good size. Peaceful armosphere. Building and interior old fashioned but cozy. Like good old times. Bathrobe and slippers were nice surprise.
Breakfast room was super cozy however for 10€ we expected wider selection. More like fresh veggies and perhaps egg dishes.
The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, but walking distance, no more than ten minutes. It can be easily reached by car and there's enough parking around. But the real plus is the amenities inside the room (and the bathroom) that make this hotel a winner. Besides, we had a wonderful river view from our windows. The room was not very wide, but perfectly clean as well as the bathroom. Would recommend.
Classic and vintage hotel clean and functional
Slightly outside the main city
We stayed in this hotel during our Camino journey. While the location was a bit far from the Camino route (about 1 km), the room was very comfortable and well-equipped. They provided slippers and bathrobes, and the bathroom included a bidet, hairdryer, and even a hair straightener.Unfortunately, the view from the window overlooked some garbage, but since we were only staying for one night, it didn’t bother us too much. The bathroom featured an amazing mirror with a drying function and a magnifying mirror, which was a nice touch.
Great older hotel , very comfortable and stylish for its time
Little bit of a walk out of town , but fine if you can walk 2 km
Not great not terrible. Provided everything we needed but I do not thing we got the value for that price.
We could smell that someone was smoking on the hallway and then also in our room, it was not ventilated. Shower had some very visible marks of being really old (rusty places).
It wasn’t too far off the Camino trail. Although it was across the river it wasn’t too far to walk to the old town. The area the hotel is in appears quite run down. Supermarket very nearby.
Was probably a very nice hotel 20-30 years ago. The decor in the bedrooms needs updating. There was mould along the runners in the shower and tiles in the bathroom - this could easily be cleaned with a heavy duty mould spray.
The room had a brand new bathroom and shower, equipped with not only a hairdryer but also hair straightener. The breakfast was fantastic. We visited the excellent museum in Pontevedra, a short walk across the bridge. Pontevedra also has an excellent and vibrant covered market and good restaurants.
