This a great pick for us. We were on The Camino and someone we met mentioned it to us- -we were very happy to find it. It's solid. Comfy and quiet. (our room was silent) We were happy to be close to restaurant row. We were pretty wiped out from the trail, and we really appreciated the very restful night at this hotel.
Its location was essential for us being centrally located. They had organized a collective breakfast with all good food. They had such great staff that helped with maps and directions that made us feel this was a place to remember.
Given our state of mind at the time there was nothing. not to like.
Great location. Clean room and had a refrigerator in the room.
We stayed here while walking the Camino, and it was great. Basic, clean hotel, very close to the beautiful historic center
Everything was a bit older, but still fully functional
Location okay, nice old hotel
Old, not updated
Close to everything, close to Camino, a fan offered to allow for air flow. Nice tub/shower.
No complaints. It met our basic needs.
Great location in the heart of the old city. Good size rooms.
A few problems communicating, but we managed to work it out.
This hotel is amazing. I was able to add on another night at the property easily. There are a couple restaurants nearby. Near the Camino route. Comfy room. Clean facilities. Helpful staff. They also found my phone charger and put it in my bag before it was transported. So amazing. Thanks so much!
We were given two rooms so we could have three beds. The front desk was staffed for our stay
It was all good! Elevator, location, cafe downstairs
Great location and very clean facilities. Breakfast was ok at 7€
Paper thin walls, there was a floor ventilator in the room that has a max timer of 2 hrs so we had to keep getting up to turn it on. Hotel is truly a 1 star as advertised
Hotel Madrid is an average hotel that while on the Camino is a step up from the albergues. • It was nice to have a stand alone fan in the room. • It was nice to have a little cafe in the hotel too. • Lastly the staff were really friendly.
I think that it could use a remodel to really spruce up the hotel rooms.
Staff were nice, and location to Camiño route was good.
It’s extremely old and in desperate need of an update. The floor in my room was filthy. However by far the worst problem was the lack of air conditioning. There was one small oscillating fan which had zero power. We had just finished a very challenging day on the Camino and then couldn’t sleep because we were so hot.
Excellent location near everything. Right at the edge of the old city. Laundromat and restaurants very close. Elevator.
Bad smell coming from bathroom pipes. Glass bathtub shield in strange place near the toilet. Always feel like you're going to hit your head on it.
Comfortable and great location. We had a beautiful view of the park from our windows. No idea why it had bad reviews. Nice bathroom, no sounds from other rooms, good bed. Recommended!
Restaurant area a bit depressing. We skipped the breakfast and went to an excellent bakery around the corner.
Helpful front desk with city maps provided, one block off the Camino, great location.
Be mindful of the thresholds that are in the hallways. The ledge sticks up just enough to trip you if you are not careful.
The hotel isn’t significant in terms of the building size. The entrance is partly hidden. A lot of restaurants near by and few minutes from the center of the center. Staff is nice.
The view from our room was boring. The lady in the breakfast area send me down two floors to the coffee shop to get hot water to my tea cup. Well.
Very clean and comfortable, good location. Nice value
