Pros +
- Its charm, and architecture
- It was really awesome staying in such a historic property, but everything was very comfortable, and all modern amenities existed. Wifi was perfect, for example. The room and especially the bathroom were large, and everything was well-appointed. You're in the heart of the pedestrian center.
- Beautiful. Great story. Clean and comfortable. Lots of space.
Cons -
- No parking on premises
- Nothing to complain about. For people with mobility issues, not sure how close a taxi can get, so bear that in mind. If you have a car, the garage associated with the city market is close by.
- Difficult to get food in the evening. Wine pours not consistent.

The history was interesting. The location was great.
A little too old and fussy. I expected more for the price.
Location for Camino was perfect! If you want to spoil yourself while walking the Camino. This is a must stop. Room was comfortable and staff helpful.
It was a treat to stay in one of Spain's paradors. The location is excellent for access to the historical city center. The room was large which gave us plenty of room for our luggage. There is a nice terrace by the garden.
The floorboards in our room were extremely squeaky. I realize it's an old building but I felt sorry if anyone was below us. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very "stuffy".
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Close to the Camino if you’re walking it. Restaurant was very good with excellent friendly service!
No elevator and no help with luggage to the room like we had in other hotels.
It is historical. It is close to everything . Gabriel from the front desk is so wonderful .It is so close to the Camino route
Our floor is creaking in our room. But it is expected..
Location
The beds were very uncomfortable! Dark room. Staff not so friendly. Breakfast much too expensive. No coffee in the room.
The grounds were beautiful. The room was comfortable and had room darkening shades. The shower was good pressure. We had lunch in the dining room and it was fantastic. Very tasty and the waitress had good wine recommendations. The location was perfect close to the old center as well as to the Camino Trail when we started off the next morning
The staff could have been a little bit more informative as to the facilities on site as well as to the highlights in the town of Pontavedra
Beautiful building. Good location
Wanted to change reservation. Told us no. Called booking.com and they got it done
Beautiful hotel, great location, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Would have been nice to have a coffee maker or at least a kettle in the room. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am.
Comfortable stay in a grand old house in a quiet part of the old city. Service is to notch, decor is tasteful, and the ambiance is grand. This is the third time we have stayed here, and we will certainly come back.
This being an old house, the staircases to the various floors are not in logical places. Signage for emergency evacuation could be better. I had to ask. Emergency maps do not indicate clearly where you are.
This building built in the 16th century was amazing. We had some issues getting there and some luggage that was not properly transferred, but the hotel helped us throughout everything. The staff in both the bar and the restaurant were very attentive. The dinner that we had in the hotel restaurant was amazing. The room was very comfortable and had a charm that’s only find in a building of this vintage.
It was a lovely big room and an wonderful old building.
Missing some common amenities in the room like a coffee maker and breakfast was very expensive and served late.
Nice historical hotel, well renovated. Nice view. Comfortable beds. Spacious room. Nice bathroom.
Hard to exit the building without using the elevator. Courtyard was nice but the wall across from the hotel looked terrible with tagging.
Terrible place. First room smelled like human piss, second room just smelled musty.
Everything except the outside. Terrible beds, very uncomfortable. Breakfast was confusing and bad. Room was old, not in a charming way.
Beautiful building and room in the old historic section
A beautiful parador in a beautiful city. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed.
While the front desk staff were hospitable and friendly, the wait staff in the dining room were surly and seemed stressed out and irritable.
Beautiful property. We had lunch outside on the patio waiting for our backpacks to arrive. Delicious
