    • Worst bed bug infestation I’ve ever seen in Europe. I’ve traveled to Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Basque Country. Thi
    • Loved the location. Beds were very large.
    • Was great! Everything is new, all I need and on the camino.

    Cons -

    • Staff does not answer after hours ; confirmed the room had AC and AC did not work
    • The property owner denied the bed bugs problem and also refuse to refund the stay, which is ridiculous. They claimed that they saw no bed bugs. What a joke.
    • We arrived and the hostel was empty but freaked like feet. I think maybe it was the floors? We tried opening the window to air it out. Pretty funky smelling.

Really enjoyed staying there during our Camino. Great facility, we did our laundry and were invited by the city to a pilgrim dinner- it was very special.

Location was great for doing the Camino de Santiago - Portugal (Coastal). Liked that most people adhered to the "quiet" rule. Facilities were clean for the most part. Bed was standard. Clean hostel.

Lack of ventilation in the shared sleeping room - there was a rule to keep shoes in the separate laundry room but some people disregarded this rule and brought their stinky shoes into the sleeping room... Due to the lack of ventilation, the smell was very potent throughout the space.

The location is great! Off the main road so it was quiet but convenient to many shops and restaurants. The hostel appears to be fairly new and was very clean. The bed was comfortable with crisp sheets and a nice big comforter. Also - each bunk had a curtain for privacy which I appreciate! The host who checked me in was very welcoming and quick to answer questions. They were also helping another pilgrim with their luggage transfer concerns and was very attentive to their needs. I would definitely recommend this property with the understanding that it is clean and efficient without any extra amenities.

There was nothing specific that I did not like - all of the basic amenities were there. The sleeping area is not real large but well organized with all the bunks in one room. Although everyone is very courteous, there was a lot of rustle and bustle noise first thing in the AM as people are getting ready to depart. The main entry is small with just a few tables and chairs and one main area for food prep.

Clean overall. Nice bunk setup with personal storage setup, curtains and personal light.

Common space small, washer and clothes drying location way too small.!

It is right on the Camino, super close to a pharmacy, restaurants and near grocery stores. We had a private room with our own bathroom. The bathroom was quite large and the shower was very nice. It was also very nice to have a mini fridge in our room.

There was a sliding door in our room that connected to the room next to ours (the door was locked), and there was a gap under the door allowing us to hear our neighbors. Also the floor in the main area felt dirty.

Bergen was still there when I arrived and my luggage wasn't. Another lady also had a problem with her bag, and she helped us contact both the bag transfer companies and the other hotel. She has so much energy, sweet, and was patient and made sure the problem with the bags had been solved before she left for the day. My room was on the first floor, but it was in a quiet location, and the soundproofing work! It was clean and comfortable.

Shoes were allowed in the dorm which creates a bed smell. The facility should have a shoe rack in the lavandery room

Very nice and comfortable stay in a private room and bathroom.

Walls maybe a bit thin and it was a bit noisy but ok.

    10JudyPosted on: 5-31-2025

Host was very accommodating. Had washer and dryer. Bed was comfy, with privacy curtain. Close to all.

    Smelly, noisy & disruptive

It smelled like socks, the light switches were wired so that each guest turned the whole rooms lights on accidentally using the switch above their bed, and the large communal dormitory was full of snoring people.

    9JeaniePosted on: 5-8-2025

Loved the private “pods” with the added conveniences of an electrical outlet, light, shelf and curtain. Very comfortable stay!

    10JafariPosted on: 5-7-2025

Very nice, clean, comfortable with curtains

    9RhinaPosted on: 4-23-2025

Each bed was private with a curtain and light. The staff was kind and check in was easy. I did laundry here and liked that there was both a shared shower and a shower in a separate room with a locking door. Beds were comfortable enough and did the job.

I wasn't sure how to check out because no one was at the front desk when I left.

    9NoelPosted on: 4-18-2025

Clean, new. Maximum of 20 guests do it was quiet.

    10YuliiaPosted on: 4-15-2025

Everything was great! Very comfort beds, we slept really well after our Camino day. The room was small, but it was enough for us to have rest. A lot of places around to eat. Supermarkets are also very close. There was a kitchen inside who want to cook at the hostel.
