Pros +
- Amazing location in an old building in the historical part of Pontevedra. Very quiet place, family atmposhere, helpful staff. Cafe and restaurant in the same building. Although the rooms are a bit old, but they are clean and well maintained. The bathroom in very good condition. Very good water pressure in the tap and in the shower. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
- The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Old Town. My room looked down onto one of the squares. The room was clean and had three lovely terrace style doors that could open to the sights and sounds outside. They also had curtains so that when I wanted to sleep in I really could. The staff was lovely, they answered all my questions and were very helpful with any needs. I took a rest day here while walking the Camino de Santiago and feel I couldn't have chosen a better place.
- Very warm welcome. Loved the hotel, bar and restaurant particularly the location.
Cons -
- Nothing really. Just to find a fault, sound proof could be better. But this is sometimes an issue even in hotels of international chains.
- This was not a problem for me, but when booking keep in mind that this location is in the heart of a popular area and the Spanish way of life often means people are out later in the evening. If you're looking for quiet early in the evening, book in a less popular part of town.
- It was a bit cold in the end of the September, so bed sheets would be nice in the room for colder days.

Had a lovely stay at Hotel Ruas. Private room on the top floor. Greeted by friendly, helpful staff that even took care of me in the bar later with lot of wine and food reccomendations.

Close to the Camino. Had Restaurante.
Shower door was broken. Toilet wouldn’t flush correctly.
Staff was good. Had restaurant and facilities.
Hard to find Old city
Location.
Shower flooded the bathroom floor, seal needs to be replaced. Everything is dated, needs a refresh.
Great location. Comfortable.
My particular room had a window. That opened to a utility area that smelled of the kitchen downstairs. Made it so I couldn’t open the window.
Great location, the room was clean, and the TV had Netflix! Perfect for a rest after a long walking day on the Camino.
The staff took a while to check me in, and the room was a little depressing—it only had space for the bed, and the window looked into a different part of the building so there was no natural light.
Quiet and very clean and comfortable after a long day walking the Camino. Good places to eat close by.
Nothing!
Perfect location in the center of town and easily accessible from the Camino. After walking all day in the heat, the AC in our room was wonderful! Good shower, and comfy beds. We had a skylight in our room, and there was an automated shade to block out the light when we needed it.
A bit of noise from the courtyard below, and in the hallway. And the outlet was across the room from the beds, however it wasn't a big issue for us.
It was located in an interesting and older part of the town. It was clean.
My room was directly adjacent to the elevator lift… separated only by a window that looked to the lift- no outside view. People using the elevator created constant noise which continuously woke me up until about midnight. Various noises from the kitchen too.
The host was very nice. The location was perfect.
Very basic. It was fine, but the room had a very small window and was stuffy. The shower door came off the tracks. The room and bathroom were tiny.
Victor is the best, but honestly all was great. Super location. Nice room good value for money.
-
Excellent location, nicely updated rooms, clean and conveniently located if doing the Camino. Even though there were a few restaurants beside the hotel (also convenient), there was no pounding music - only people talking. With the windows closed at night, we did not hear anything ( other than the singing Spaniard at 6 AM :) ). Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Very comfortable stay and would not hesitate to book in again.
Was an excellent value. Hotel was a little old but clean. Bathroom was very nice and room was above a restaurant and cafeteria. Nicest Froiz market we saw on our whole trip and they were nice markets in general.
Met our needs
Great location and east check in. Difficulty communicating with staff about bag pick up for the Camino.
Location was fantastic and restaurant and cafe attached to hotel were a great bonus however rooms need to be updated.
Great historic location, welcoming and prompt staff (thanks Victor), comfortable, clean, good restaurant and breakfast cafe
Construction noises till 6pm ish but a minor minor issue...
Convenient location. Great bed and shower. Super restaurant downstairs (delicious!) and it’s on a plaza. Loved this location for an after dinner walk. No frills in the room itself but everything you need.
