Pros +
- Charming hotel in the center of town with small pool and fantastic views.
- Wonderful setting of the location and hospitality from the staff. The outdoor area has incredible views of the valley; comfortable seating areas and excellent layout. The indoor area equally has a nice internal layout at pool-level and reception-level. There is also a spa room for treatments and a games/room gym area when the weather is not so pleasant. The honesty snack bar is also an excellent supplement which makes eating and the occasional drink a lot easier when you're relaxing outside. We are very grateful for the hospitality we received from the hotel and staff; and appreciate the service they provided. The team and management went above and beyond for us during our stay. We look forward to staying at Can Cota or Sa Bisbal again in the future.
- Everything ! Beautiful view, swimming pool, honesty bar, good breakfast. Room was with a terrace which was a great bonus.
Cons -
- We couldn’t get the room to a lower temperature than 25 degrees but other than that everything was amazing! Just wanted to note you may want to include instructions for how to use the thermostat :)
- If I need to figure out something then bed was a bit hard. Otherwise no complaints :)
- Parking can be difficult..but at least you get to know all the small streets in town and practise your parking skills :-)

We were upgraded and the room therefore larger than what we booked. But the hotel itself is what makes the differene. Located in Selva within walking distance to the town plaza. Great restaurants in the lively little town and a good starting point for hikes and cycling. The pool is lovely with beautiful views of the plain beneath. Breakfast is the best we have had here in Mallorca. This is a place we will return to.

Can cota is an excellent choice if you want to explore the Serra de tramuntana and relax/enjoy your stay with tasty breakfast. The rooms are cozy and you’ve got a spa (pool, sauna and wellness) and a nice pool area with a beautiful view of selva. There are parking spaces around the corner but don’t get a big rental car ;)
We had an amazing stay at Can Cota, can't recommend the hotel enough. It was really easy to get there from the airport in Palma (a 40-minute drive mostly on the motorway). When we arrived, the host welcomed us and showed us around the property — I still remember the view the first time I saw the view, it was breathtaking. Our deluxe room also had it and it was amazing to see it every morning. The room itself was very spacious, with a huge and comfy 1.80m bed. The hotel also offered a lovely breakfast that you could enjoy in the garden, and you could get freshly prepared eggs or bacon. We visited in March so it was great to be able to use the sauna and the two (cold) pools afterwards. The hotel itself was located in the centre of Old Selva and was close to a two really good restaurants — Miceli and Selvatge, but the other food places were also quite nice. We didn't need to look for a shop nearby because there was a honesty bar for drinks and snacks in the hotel. Lastly, the garden was amazing. It was a true pleasure to spend time in nature with such a beautiful view. We only wonder how nice it would've been if the weather was a bit warmer.
It's not that we didn't like something, more of a word of caution — Selva is a beautiful old town with narrow streets — we rented a Fiat 500 and recommend you don't go much larger than that if you want to easily drive and park around the hotel. Also, have in mind the sauna is booked for a private 1-hour session at the cost of €15 (I'd say totally worth it, as you can observe the whole valley from there).
We had a lovely room (#1) in Can Cota, with Spa Bath. The room was very spacious, comfortable, with fabulous views. Staff all first-rate. Breakfast really good quality, and great value. The building has been superbly developed inside and out, overall a lovely place to stay.
1. Our bathroom window was level with the road, and it's disconcerting to have children outside ( at school time) when using the loo. etc. Didn't feel sufficiently private.2. Another minor gripe was TV. Couldn't 'cast' or use Apps (Netflix, etc). Not normally an issue for us. but it rained A LOT on our stay. 3. Parking is very limited near the hotel.
The biews and the comfort of the room
The eating area inside needs some renovation
Awesome location in cute little town overlooking the hills with stunning views. To round this up the super friendly staff as really outstanding and always went the extra mile to make the guest happy. I would surly come back again! As only area of improvement I would recommend to add some small closets / storage space into the rooms.
Very beautiful place with very friendly people, a perfect breakfast with the view ever.
Not all rooms have a view.
Staffs are friendly and the I like the vibe and cleanness of the hotel.
1. If you book via booking.com, you would not get a good room(this is not the only problem of this hotel though). Our room 7 would be the worst room of this hotel. I don't like the entrance is just window and located just in front of the bed. 2. Looks like water drops or leaks inside ceiling. It happens both of bathroom ceiling and bedroom ceiling. The water drop sound is so annoyed especially during a night. We reported to the front desk, the staff took a note but NOT solve this and did nothing. 3. There is no coffee/tea facilities in a room. Well It is in a common area, but isn't it uncomfortable to go outside and get a hot water? Also they charge a coffee which is weird to me.But I have to note that If I had a better room I would have a good impression. After all, I paid decent fare. Additionally, I stayed at a better hotel right before this hotel, it might affect my experience too.
Excellent breakfast. And even though it was winter, we could sit outside and enjoy the fabulous views.Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. Everything very clean. Reception and kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the sauna, alternating with the cold plunge.
Not much to be honest! The door handle on the sauna made it very hard to open the sauna door with wet hands.
-the sauna with a view and the possibility of a cold plunge in the pool after.-the breakfast-the view from the room-the friendliness of the staff
The bed was not a double bed, but two individual mattresses put next to each other. Which made it a bit uncomfortable.
Lovely small hotel, Superfriendly staff, hidden gem in Selva.

Great location, rooms were spacious and loved our little outdoor balcony. The little help yourself snack and drinks cave was a lovely touch too. Loved the sauna and the pool was freezing so it was fun going between the two!
It would have been nice to have had a fan, I found the air-con didn’t really work but at the time we went it wasn’t too much of a problem but we did sleep with the windows open and we did get bitten quite a bit. I found the decor of the hotel in the reception a little dated it was giving more of a Hostel feel rather than a hotel when I first walked in but the room was great and I enjoyed the facilities and view every morning.
This was just bliss ,,, a little bit of heaven,,, if you want to relax and spend time in the beautiful country side of Majorca there is no better place ,, the staff here are just so lovely, we felt like wer staying away with family,,
Wonderful location with panoramic view; excellent room with view, terrific buffet and cooked breakfast
Not a dislike but parking is on the street and might have to walk a little
The hotel is set in a beautiful building within a quiet village, with amazing views over the valley. Rooms are big and very well furnished. The two pools and the sauna are a nice value added. Breakfast was amazing! I would definetely reccomend this place
Everything, staff was so attentive, had lots of recommendations for us and the Hotel is truly phenomenal. So calming and located in a beautiful small town
