Considering how big the hotel Spa is, Sauna and resting area are small and limited ! Only 2 Sauna out of 3 were working ( Sauna with Swimming suite was close) .Even though everyone enjoys changing towels, but Would be better to change based on need and not every day. Planet friendly :)

The shower door doesn't close properly and needs to be fixed. But everything else is perfect.

Ideal location amongst the castles, yet isolated just enough away from the bustle of tour buses and crowds. The restaurant options provided a nice variety of experiences. The saunas and wellness area were wonderful as well.

Cleanest Spa we've ever been to, very private and elegant hotel. The staff was very friendly, professional and 5*. Room service it's definitely worth it.

However, I booked a Double Room – Jägerhaus which was described as having castle or forest views, but my room faced the inner courtyard.

Excellent location near the Neuschwanstein castle and near a scenic lake. Excellent buffet breakfast in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Rooms fitted out to a very high standard.

The 3-course dinner was nice but could be imroved (e.g. some fresh-and-healthy options).

We stayed for four nights. What I loved best are the views of Schloss Neuschwanstein from our bedroom, and the one from the Lisl Restaurant where the hotel served breakfast. The breakfast spread was also superb. There are salmon, trout, champagne, various fresh juices, cereal, different kinds of bread, honeycomb, fruits, cold cuts, bacon, ham, and more. The hotel spa is spacious and clean. The staff - especially at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The Alpsee lake is a few meters away. The Ameron facade faces the Hohenschwangau which is beautifully illuminated at night as it emits an amber glow. It snowed all five days and four nights that we were in the propertly from 23 December to 27 December turning the area into a truly fairytale Winter wonderland! Nearby is another hotel restaurant, The Schloss Bräustüberl where we were treated to a sumptuous three-course Christmas eve dinner Fondue. The hotel bar, Ludwig served excellent soups and mocktails. I also loved the fireplace at the lobby. Mineral water were included in the board. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday but you had the option to forgo it for the good of the environment, and in exchange, the hotel will give you a voucher to exchange for a drink at Ludwig bar. A stay in the hotel gives the guest free access to the spa with multiple kinds of sauna and facilities. From the spa, you have a view of the Alpsee lake.

Less staff during the Christmas holidays affected the availability of services. There is no bidet in the bathroom.

I liked the ambiance, facilities, breakfast, staff. Perfect place to see the castles and relax. I would stay there again. The pool area was a nice treat.

Maybe they could look into a free shuttle service to buses or trains.

Fantastic hotel, very helpful staff and lovely room with a beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was very good!! We ended up eating mostly at the bar though due to us not liking the local German cuisine but the Lisl restaurant is a must try when you’re staying. It’s very close to the horse and carriage, the Alpsee lakes and walkable to both castles!! Close to many souvenir shops, restaurants and bus stations.

I would’ve preferred more catering options.

Everything.... was off the chart phenomenal.Breakfast will blow your mind. The chef was amazing.It was the best place we stayed of three weeks in 4 different countries.

Incredible location and a beautiful resort. They have a buffet breakfast that’s included, which was delicious. They also provide parking at no extra cost.

The bathrooms were not very private. We had a standard double room the first night, which was excellent, and then we had to move rooms to a smaller one where the bathroom had very little privacy. We were not happy about that. The shower and sink were located right next to the bed with a very small half partition wall in between. If you value privacy, I do not recommend this type of room.

Location was perfect. Right next to the castles. There was hotel parking (you had to pay). Hotel staff were brilliant. Food was excellent. The bartender serving was exceptional - she was so friendly and helpful. Room was massive, bath was massive. We were in a room with a balcony and view of lake it was so worth the money - a big treat. Very clean and very quiet. Lift to get to all floors. Spa was lovely too :-)

The views and the location were amazing. Walking distance to the Schloss Neuischwanstein , the yellow castle (forgot the name) and a few local restaurants. Fussen, a charming city, is a 10 minute away drive. The views are incredible. In front of the Alpsee, a beautiful lake, and the snowy mountains in the backgrounds. Everywhere you look, you can see the castle towering above you.

The swimming pool and relaxing area could be improved. It was too small for such a big hotel.

Location was perfectly nestled between the 2 castles. The heated indoor pool was beautiful & the view of the lake & mountains was breathtaking! Staff went above & beyond with special touches for our anniversary! Food was excellent and so many choices at breakfast!
