Hotel Alda Centro Ponferrada

Location near city center and camino de santiago, and elevator is in the building.

Room wall is dirty with stains, and room lighting is too dark.

Disappointing compared with other Alda Hotels

There was no hot water for the shower and the heating was off. Also the room lacked extra blankets or pillows

It was clean and quiet.

The towels were quite shabby and one had a hole in it. There was no hair dryer even though it was mentioned in the ad. Breakfast was scheduled to start at 7 am but was not ready until almost 7:30. Myself and others had plans for early morning travel that were delayed as a result. There was no plug for the bathtub.

Clean and good value for money - just the other end of the town after a long walking day on the Camino so be prepared to add an extra kilometre or 2 to get there!

The internet is AWFUL! It keeps disconnecting all the time and I had the same problem in Leon in a place from the same chain.

Very central location. Restaurant on site. Front desk is staffed with friendly and welcoming staff. Room is clean, quiet and very comfortable.

place was awesome, everything I needed was there, kitchen was well supplied with all the bits and pieces I needed to make a meal, grocery store was just across the square, Gaudi's Palacio was less than a 10 minute walk.

Good location, clean and comfortable beds

The room was extremely hot. Windows open with no breeze. Asked staff to turn on air conditioning or please give us a fan, they refused. Many people complained about the heat.

The shower didn't work amazingly and kept switching from hot to cold.

The location was in the new town but near the train staion and on the camino which I walked the next day

The bed was a bit too hard and the restaurant wasn't opened early in the morning for pilgrims

Location was great! the personnel were super friendly, we took the buffet breakfast option and it was very complete and the lady from the restaurant was really nice. We loved everything about this hotel, the only downside is that it doesn't have parking. They have an agreement with a nearby parking area but you have to walk a couple of blocks

situated the main town area, recently renovated, very clean, quiet , easy access with code entry. plenty of room for 4 people. great kitchen facilities.

The bed was comfortable. So we slept pretty well during our stay.

The room looked very old, and the bathroom needs updating. The shower hot and cold water didn't work. Only turned the hot water to shower because it was warm. Did not use cold. Towels smelled very funky and moldy, like they were damp for a long time.
