    Pros +

    • I was amazed by the castle-like look from the outside (I reaaaaally love castles ?) the entrance and every detail is unbelievably beautiful and taken care of to the extreme. Even though it was wonderful, what was even better than the place itself was the reception staff as they were truly welcoming and genuinely nice. Julián took care of every detail and went far and beyond to help me out and that made a massively positive difference on my stay. Your kindness doesn't go unnoticed ?.I would totally recommend and will definitely be back here at some point. The weather wasn't great, so the fact that it has a gym with the basics made my stay wonderful. Its location couldn't be any better as it's strategically placed, there's an amazing parc right opposite, the views from the room were stunning and everything you may need is at walking distance. Extremely happy ??
    • The only thing that was good about this Hotel was the young woman at the front desk with the long brown hair who was kind and tried to be helpful when I told her I had several items stolen by one of their cleaning, ladies.

    Cons -

    • Several of my personal belongings were stolen by the cleaning people who came into my room before I had checked out..3 of the items were artifacts that I had bought to give away as gifts, so it is very upsetting…The other items caused a big inconvenience because I had to replace them all before I continued on my way on the Camino.
    • They changed my queen bed for two individuals, they charged me 1/3 more than the current promotion offered the night I stayed (paid around $100 when promoting same room at €65. Prior night I stayed at *** hotel. This one says it’s a 4 stars but it is really lower quality in every detail.Long waiting time to check in, prior client was screaming super upset with the hotel clerk. Bathroom was not properly cleanedBad experience in general, not reccomended. Cheapy rooms sold as a 4star hotel
    • It felt like it needed to be updated/freshened up. We were put on the second floor where there was a conference going on. We were on our last day of the Camino so we were probably going to bed much earlier than normal guests. We were too tired to ask for another floor.

Medieval style, nice enough but some of the bedroom doors didn't close properly and had to be locked from the inside to keep them closed. Staff not very friendly. Breakfast mediocre and not worth the money.

The morning front desk guy spoke good English and was servceminded.

This is 4* hotel in a very bad state. I cut my foot on broken floor tiles in my room. When i asked for a bucket (like the one used to cool wine) of ice, they told me that they didn't have any and brought me 8 pcs. of ice cubes in a plastic bag, not in a glass but a plastic bag. When I asked for more ice, they (young woman at the front desk) told me that I couldn't get more and that I could go to the nearby petrol station and buy it. I travel for a living and have never been in a (worse) 4* hotel that can't afford to give ice to a customer. I needed ice because both my knees hurt because I just walked 31 km on Camino. Also, in my room booking confirmation, there was a confirmed mini bar, which I needed to cool my water, but there was no mini bar, so I was not given what I paid for. There was no toillet brush at the bathroom! All in all, this hotel is at best 2*

The atmosphere, sensation of being in a Medieval or Harry Potter Movie, welcoming and helpful staff.

A bit worn out and dark. Couldn't work out how TV worked.

    6TimPosted on: 11-4-2024

Location was good and staff were friendly

Rooms were very dark and the WiFi signal from reception didn’t reach our rooms. There was music playing all night from the reception area which kept me awake most of the night.

Very comfortable room and clean. The bathroom could use some work. The shower is very uncomfortable and water leaks out to the floor. Tube very slippery. Staff was very nice.

Beds were very uncomfortable, no aircon, no fridge, breakfast was very basic continental style, I think there is better accomodation in the town for the same money, the reception staff were lovely and very easy to deal with, the medieval theme was good however the conveniences need bringing into the 21 century

    Beds and breakfast

    8PhilipPosted on: 9-21-2024

The hotel is big and the staff considerate.

No hot water in the shower. Only warmish. The bath would take a lifetime to fill.

    7AoibhinnPosted on: 9-19-2024

Nice and clean hotel, staff were lovely. Location ws perfect for us (beside train station).

The beds were basic and not very comfortable

    7LiannePosted on: 8-11-2024

The room was clean and the bathroom was very welcoming. The staff were also very helpful and got me ice immediately for my knee injury.

The property was over a kilometre from the entrance to the city which is not ideal after walking for hours in the blazing heat. The room was also more outdated than the pictures make it seem and I had wooden window shutters which made the room very dark. I was also told breakfast would be buffet and it was not, it consisted of cereals, toast and cold cuts.

    9DanielPosted on: 7-29-2024

Friendly and helpful staff. Bike storage available. Good buffet breakfast (by Spanish standards). Entertaining decorative theme.

Air conditioning is either full on, or off. It was 37c when we visited, so we had it on when we went to sleep, woke up cold, switched it off, woke up sweating, turned it back on, etc...

Plenty of character with a good central location.Secure underground car at the rear of the hotel.

Very formal check in procedure. Was a bit noisy at night, but I suppose to be expected in a city centre hotel on a Saturday night!

Beautiful property. Great location. Beautiful room. Very clean. Staff were very good. Secure underground parking.

    5HelenPosted on: 6-5-2024

It was nice quaint old style

Wi-Fi was very weak And code changes daily No hot water in the morning So had to leave without showering

    9CarriePosted on: 5-31-2024

Good location really just a little out of town but near the train station. Nice big room

The lighting felt a little dark in places. And it felt more like a quirky conference centre. Staff could have been a bit friendlier.

    8LauriePosted on: 5-28-2024

It was like staying in an old Templar castle

The wifi never worked. They had a crazy receipt machine that would print out cryptic passwords but we kept getting server errors. They were clueless about how to fix it.

    9CharlesPosted on: 5-15-2024

Very nice, efficient, big fake Medieval Hotel.... spacious and comfortable. Lovely Staff and a good Continental Breakfast. We would stay at The Temple again.
