Hotel Meridional

Room and bed was comfortable. Restaurant Nam was very nice. Great food and very nice staff. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. We had a full Seaview room, which was nice.

The only way up and down to the Skybar (5th floor) was by the single, very small and main elevator. At certain timings it took a long time to catch a free elevator.

The room doors need soundproofing. We heard everything from the hallway so from the other rooms through the hallway.

Bright and cheerful , clean and well run. Reception staff went above and beyond. Cheerful and helpful . Cleaners were fabulous . Position of the hotel is fabulous . Close to beautiful beach and restaurants

From checking to check out the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and clean and right on the beach and walkable to the center of town.

No USB ports in the room.

Breakfast was good but on the pricey side

Room was lovely and clean, as was the hotel and lobby, which had recently been decorated. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Visited in March and there were no bars or restaurants open other than the local mini supermarket.

The breakfast wasn't good. The hot food looked to have been sitting there for a while and didn't look appetising. The range on offer wasn't great, we ended up having tea and toast, so the value of the price against what we ate was money not well spent.

Location

160 Euro per night, i have different expectations about room size and the quality of the room itself. This is Spain Allicante, not the centre of Madrid or Amsterdam. The room was small as was the bathroom. The Hotel had a refresh in the restaurant and lobby area but in the rooms not so much. In my room (very noisy I heard the neighbor's snore) the quick paint job the room had was falling in little pieces from the ceiling.

Meal was pleasant in the restaurantCheerful women booked us in, made us feel very welcome.

Pleasant

fire alarm went of at 3:30am on Monday night. The alarm went for approximately 15 minutes and as there are there are no phones in the rooms we could not contact anybody. It was difficult to return to sleep and we were travelling home the next day 4th march. When we checked out at 11 am we had to ask what happened and we were then informed that there was a system fault but we had to ask.

The lovely restaurant in the hotel.. Balcony view of the sea. Easy walk to the beach.Stunning hotel.Parking very easy. Lovely roof bar.

The cleanliness was superb, and the staff were lovely. The view was gorgeous.I think that the room could have a little more storage for the suitcases, it was a tight squeeze to share the wardrobe.

To be picky I think a lack of drinking water easily available is something to be addressed. A water barrel on the bar would be lovely.I also noticed a lack of vegetarian choice in the half board menus and no mains salad.

Do not go if in a wheelchair lift to small for chair and rams to steep

The property is not 4 star, rooms are dated and bathrooms need refurbishing.

Excellent breakfast bar restaurant and roof bar wonderful views

Not sure about the pool. It’s across the road and nor for plunging than swimming so did not use it. The beach is only 30m away with good sun beds and shades with good beach bar.
