Pros +
- Terrible experience - to avoid!
- Compared to other places in the area, the price is quite reasonable and offers good value for money.
- The quadruple room we got was huge and recently renovated, with a stunning view to the mountains behind the hotel. Breakfast was good and Giorgio the front desk manager was awesome!
Cons -
- Really bad experience. We left one night early. Dirty. But most of all is the booking.com website did not allow us to book the family room (which includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom). It gives a message that our party is too big for the size of the room. So we had to book 2 separate rooms for the 3 of us (2 adults and one child) assuming indeed the family room is not for a family (!) when we got to the hotel the man at reception asked us why we booked 2 rooms and could have just booked the family room. We explained their website didn’t allow it! We didn’t use the second room in the end during our stay. They refused to reimburse the room unused for us. I called booking.com about 5-6 times and they refused to do anything. They even went on the website and saw the error. They confirmed it themselves but let the hotel take accountability and hotel refused. So we paid for 2 rooms and only used one. Outrageous. Never received such bad faith customer service.
- the cleanliness needs improvement — there was a lot of dust and hair on the floor, and the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned.
- The common areas of the hotel are quite worn out and needing renovation, especially the elevator that is very small. It’s not really what you expect of a Best Western. There is no parking at the hotel but there is free parking one or two blocks away behind the church.

- Room was very spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. - Friendly staff! They kindly let us store our bags for free during our AV1 hike. - Did not try the breakfast, but for 10 euros per person, the spread and quality is amazing! It's a shame we didn't get to try it. - Though it's out of Cortina d'Ampezzo proper, the hotel is right by the bus stop from Cortina to San Vito di Cadore.
- out of Cortina d'Ampezzo, so amenities are limited (e.g. grocery stores, restaurants)
Location was where we needed to be for hiking and moving around in the Dolomites. For the price compared to other places in Dolomites was good. Staff was friendly and able to communicate via Whatsapp. Parking was not directly located but convenient enough.
Our blinds didn't work/did not go all the way down and was on street side so there was some light. If you're a light sleeper, this may bother you.
Staff was great! Location was perfect. A little away from craziness of Cortino
We were most impressed by the location, cleanliness and the staff. After a long day of travel, we checked in with Giorgio at the front desk and he helped us to navigate parking, carrying luggage, and where to eat dinner. The next morning we were able to enjoy breakfast which had an amazing spread of great food. The kitchen staff, Breata and Laura were very accommodating. Our room had wonderful views, comfortable beds, and was squeaky clean. The desk area is a nice bonus. Overall, this was one our favorite spots and the Best Western Hotel in San Vito di Cadore, which made our stay exceptional.
We loved everything, so no complaints. B
The staff were extremely welcoming and professional including the front desk, kitchen/dining personnel, and cleaning persons. They helped with the airlines when a bag was lost, made restaurant recommendations/reservations, provided ice for our baby’s needs, and were overall available for anything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious: eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, pastries & cakes, galore, cereal, yogurt… the list goes on. What a wonderful place to stay! We will definitely stay here when we return to the Dolomites.
Hmm… nothing.
No AC Need fans in the rooms, it was hot afternoon and night
The Hotel Nevada was great! Breakfast, staff, and facilities were all exceptional. San Vito di Cadore was a great introduction to the Dolomites.
What a wonderful little hotel tucked in a small town. Right on the main street, with a nice little balcony you can sit and admire the mighty dolomites from. The staff was incredibly accommodating of my elderly parents and gave us an (upgraded) room on a floor with the elevator (Which does not reach the top floor of the hotel).Wonderful hearty breakfast too at a decent price.
No parking available on the property. We lucked out with the nearby (free) church parking, but if we hadn't, the official parking was a bit of a walk away from the hotel, so not ideal. Also the bunk beds are probably best used by kids only, not really suitable for full-sized adults :)
Nice hotel with good views of the mountain. We were there during the low season and it was nice. The staff is kind and attentive.
We booked this place thinking there was where to park at the hotel. But it is street parking. It was not a big problem because it was nearby and it was the low season. But it is something to be aware of.
The hotel was clean, the towels were changed after first night, comfortable beds. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
There was no fridge in the room. The breakfast could be improved by adding more nutritious food (there were too many sweets and only some tomatoes, boiled eggs, ham and cheese).
Great views from the windows. Clean and comfy beds.
High noise level since it is on the main road. Since there is no A/C, the windows stay open during the summer. Besides the street noise, the cigarette smoke from downstairs would come thru the windows. Noise included church bells at 7am, bar noise until 12am, and landscapers at 6:30am.
Amazing views, the balcony was fantastic, and the breakfast was perfect - just enough variety without being overwhelming. Staff were very friendly.
The rooms were on the smaller side, and no air conditioning means the rooms are intolerably hot during the day, and if you keep the balcony doors open at night, you hear all the noise on the road.
everything - room, location, staff, good value for money, solid wifi,, small town feel without being too busy or congested
We were a group of 2 couples on a weekend trip, and this accomodation was a perfect fit for us. Beds were super comfy with pillow options. There were more than enough towels and towel drying racks. One bedroom is separated, the other one is at the room entrance. There was a kettle with some tea provided. Cleaning was done every day. Late self check-in was organized on the day of arrival.
There is no fridge in the room. If it's winter one can store groceries on the windowsill between the window glass and the blinds. In summer there is no option than to avoid temperature sensitive groceries. The shower in the bathroom is not really big and lacks some additional light and a shelf for shampoo bottles.
Good location in the dolomites
Parking was two blocks away and we had to carry our bags up the last floor to the fourth floor as the elevator only went to three
The rooms are very comfortable. It is located in the small town surrounded by big mountains, so exceptional view. The staff is very helpful.

Staff - the man at the registration office was very attentive. There wasn't a kettle and tea cups in the room and he gave them with hot water. He also offered bottles of water, which also weren't in the room. The room was clean and very nice for family - it had 2 bathrooms.
It will be great if they will add kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room.
