Hotel De Martin

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, helpful and service-oriented. The hotel communicates very well and abundantly in advance of our arrival. The rooms are clean and the views toward Elmonasterio are beautiful. The location is great, close to tons of cafes and restaurants and only a few minutes from El Monasterio de El Escorial.

Not a negative, just worth noting- parking could be tricky because of the centric location. We were very grateful that a staff member helped us find a place nearby to park our car.

Beautifully prepared rooms. Comfortable and super close to the two things one comes to do: eat and the Escorial. Laura was super friendly and helpful with the check in process.

All was great.

A brilliant location in the heart of the town just 200 mtrs from the palace and 100 MTRS from secure car parking.The room was spacious with Lovely interesting view all topped off by a wonderful jacuzzi spa bath.

Loft room right in centre of El Escorial so fantastic location close to the incredible Monastery.Super bathroom & showerNo breakfast offered but close to lots of cafes. We parked up a couple of streets away for free. Nice 45 minute walk up to overlook the monastery.

Good location

Room far too hot. Aircon turned to winter mode so wouldn’t provide any cooling. Apparently this couldn’t be changed. Window also didn’t open. Therefore a sleepless night. I’m sure we just got a bad room - others facing the street I expect were fine.

Very friendly receptionist, gave us good tips on where to eat. Location excellent, very close to the monastery and underground parking nearby at reduced rate. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but the hotel has no breakfast facilities. There are several cafes for breakfast nearby

All the rooms are different styles. We had a limited headspace room at the top of the hotel which was recently refurbished. Very clean, comfortable, but the sloped ceiling was a bit of a nuisance.

Amazing location at the square with everything around, including many cafes and restaurants and walking distance to the monastery. Nice boutique hotel, room was cute and the bathtub great. It really didnt matter not having breakfast as you literally go out and find plenty of options. The rooms were clean.

Staff was not alqays available although they were helpful otherwise. It has an isolated feel to it inside although well located. The green flashing light from the fire alarm in the room qas disturbing. The good thing is that staff gave us sleep masks when i asked about it. It is good to air out the rooms.

The decor is a bit dated but is very clean and well looked after.

Location central and we had room over looking the central square.Rooms comfortable and clean and staff helpful.Area very central with plenty to see and do.

Doesn't have breakfast option but plenty cafes near buy.No pool but we located very nice public outdoor pool about 2kms from hotel.Staff have very little English so helps if you can speak some Spanish.

What a fab place. Modern with Location, Location, Locatiom. Excellent check-in staff with excellent suggestions on Restaurants and a bonus to get into the Royal Palace free. Discount on parking was a plus

Location was excellent. Easy parking nearby. Lovely bed and modern rooms. Fresh apples available in reception every day

The hotel manager Laura was extremely kind above and beyond the Call of Duty in purchasing an important souvenir for me, and it was indicative of the helpfulness of the whole staff. The room was very nice and spacious and the walk-in shower was very convenient. The room was very quiet even though located right next to the plaza mayor

The hotel does not have breakfast but this is no problem as there are good cafes nearby. Otherwise everything was perfect

The Staffa was very helpful with baby accommodation , Transportation, luggage storage etc. The room was comfortable and large, well furnished with minifridge and kettle, very close to el escurial

Hotel De Martin is no hotel.There was no window in the room, no fresh air.Staff could not speak any language, only spanish.

Excellent hotel experience. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Good location. Everything worked well.

Anyone unfortunate enough to need a TV in a hotel room would be disappointed by both the size of the set and what if offers.

Wonderful location. Parking and restaurants close by. Very comfortable, quiet and well-equipped (though small) room. Helpful staff … an issue with wifi was resolved quickly and pleasantly, and good suggestions for where to eat.
