- The size of the TV set and the programs were a joke. The movies were out of a 60s made me want to see Mr. Ed again.

The breakfast was amazing, the view was excellent, the building very nice. In general we had a great time.
The room was not what I expected for a 4star hotel (speaking about design and details), although it was very clean and comfortable. Also, there was not internet connection in the TV.
Just two minutes from the Monastery. We parked in the public garage just a few minutes walk from both the hotel and Monastery. Old school, classy hotel with wide staircases.
It needs a better sign that is visible on the street. We drive right past.
Very comfortable and great time in El Escorial. Location, food and service is fantastic
The pool is freezing cold
The location
The rooms were very dated and whilst clean only covered basic needs, no tea making facilities in the room and no where within the hotel to get a hot drink outside of breakfast time. Limited facilities. The hotel room dividing walls were so thin you could hear guests either side of you, not a relaxing stay as woken up throughout the night and disturbed during the evening. Staff at breakfast asked you to leave promptly and closed down breakfast. Limited choice and cheap products offered at breakfast and it was completely self service. Nothing would indicated that the hotel is worthy of 4 stars, I would struggle to rate it as a 3 star.
Clasic style. Breakfast
No garage. My car could no fit into the nearest garage Monasterio, max 180 cm high
Location, clean - really wonderful staff.
No coffee machine or kettle in the rooms.
Excellent location, staff wonderful - so helpful. Accessible parking.
No coffee machine in room, would have been nice to have this feature. No restaurant or way to get food outside of breakfast time.
Location close to monastery. Nice village. Good traditional hotel.
Very noisy because of group of children.
Very good location and very nice staff
Lots of noise in the room with thin walls
Great location, super friendly staff. The room had a wonderful view. Comfortable and cozy.
Very spacious. A grand old building, well refurbished. Breakfast buffet choice was huge.
I could not turn the heating down. I would have liked to have a kettle to make a cup of tea/coffee.
The building is beautiful and has amazing views. Location is pretty nice. The room was spatious and clean. The breakfast was nice.
They don't have parking space. The bathroom was a bit outdated. The mattress was a bit too hard...And it's not their fault, but it was new year's eve and the window glasses were trembling with the music of the party outside... The blinds were not enough. And it just felt quite overpriced, 242 € for a night, excl breakfast. I would have canceled, but I missed the cancelation window.
Nice room good view nice staff
Having to pay for parking (;25 euros per day) TV not working . Very busy location .
The Hotel is extremely well located in El Escorial, the dinning area is very nice and as an antique but updated look.Brekakfast was good! Service was very good!Parking is not easy but the staff helps you find an unpaid place near by.
The room is lacking small complementary drinks such as coffee, tea and water bottles.
spacious room, super-comfortable bed, perfect bathroom. I appreciated the fact that the lounge is very stylish, maintaining its old grandeur
Absolutely perfect location for a short walk to El Escorial monastery. Near to bus station and lots of restaurants .A large spacious hotel. On the 1st floor …..Our bedroom was large, warm , spotless and very contemporary for an older hotel . Huge, comfortable double bed and large 2 sink bathroom. Excellent shower area . Mini bar too.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t a bar area for drinks after a day of sightseeing. There was a business dinner the evening we were staying and the music … though recorded-was loud and played until 1am . Could not get to sleep! Pity as it took the shine off our stay and we needed a good nights sleep for a long drive the next day.
Warm rooms and great breakfast buffet
Room wasn’t perfectly clean and staff wasn’t very attentive.
