Hotel A Tafona do Peregrino

The location was excellent. We could walk to the cathedral, downtown restaurants in 10 to 15 minutes.

The bathtub was too high and getting in and out might be an issue for some people.

Bed bugs- on the bed and walls I needed to leave and find a new place

Beautiful hotel, great location. Very comfortable after the camino. Staff very helpful. We had an evening flight and were allowed to leave our bags in the hotel. Room with a bath and balcony.

Good location, not to far from all the tourist attractions. Convenient for a bus to the train or bus stations. Nice view from the balcony. An elevator.

They had a nice balcony that was filthy. Even the chair and little table was not clean. If they would paint the rails, get rid of the empty molded planter and put screen barriers between the rooms it would make it a nice little place with fresh air to eat a snack or just sit and relax. Couldn’t completely close the shutters at night.

Centrally located hotel with nice staff. They also allow dogs without extra charge but as the dogs are not allowed to be alone in the room, it’s not really a good options for staying with pets

Our dogs were not allowed to be alone in the room alone, making our stay quite useless as you can’t go to the cathedral or other places that doesn’t allow dogs. With this restriction it’s not really a dog friendly hotel. The rooms are also very run down and had mold in the bathroom so I didn’t even shower there

Rooms were nice and with air conditioning! Luggage storage was convenient. Location was convenient. Loved the stone walls and dark wood beans and trim. Bed was comfy.

Not many breakfast options so we ate elsewhere. Lighting could've been better but was enough

Just outside the walls of the cathedral and close to shops and bara but also not to close so yiu can have a restful night

The staff were amazing. Both Rafael and Charles went above and beyond.. The building was nice with stone walls and the breakfast was good. The location was good, but it was the staff that made it a great place to stay. Would definitely book again.

Affordable and great location. Didn't get to enjoy the breakfast as we had an early train.

Little things across the room didn't work, could hear quite a bit of people in & out. but we were one of many pilgrims.

Unfortunately, no hot water for part of the stay but staff was very informative and apologetic

The location was great. The room was older but comfortable and clean. The staff was nice, the breakfast was very good value and had fresh orange juice and good coffee. Well worth the price. We would have stayed longer but they were full.

The shower was great but the door swings in which meant you had to go inside before you could turn on the shower.

Very accomadating when i booked the wrong day but where still able to make space for me on the roght day! Amazing staff and nice breakfast and the area was nice and quiet during the night

Rafa was so friendly and nice. He made me feel very welcomed during my stay and even remembered my birthday! The location is great, everything is walking distance from the hotel, including restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, markets, bus stops, the cathedral and much more. The bed and shower were comfortable, but the staff is the reason why I would go back to this hotel.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The staff, especially Iria, fabulous! As we were leaving on an early morning flight, Iria made us a lovely picnic to take with us.

Sometime during the night the air conditioning shut off. Didn’t care for that as there was no air moving in the room at all.

The location was excellent. Short walk to everything you needed. Virtually on the Camino path and so central to all shops, cafes and not far from the cathedral. The bus stop to the airport was literally 50 metres from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I think there was a cafe for food but no mention was made of how to eat there or how to order food. It could be a little noisy at night but it was right on the main road. However, if the windows were shut it was fine and the room was airconditioned.

Our room was comfortable and spotless, and the breakfast, a delicious spread of local treats. But the true highlight was the incredible hospitality of Charo and Carlos. Their warm welcome and helpful advice made our stay truly special. Highly recommend!
