Eurostars Gran Hotel Santiago

Very comfortable and clean. Great tub! The front desk staff was very helpful, answering our questions about the area.

No A/C, they turned it off in preparation for winter that hasn’t arrived yet, they will never learn that the rest of the world is used to A/C. It was an awful night experience. Opening the two tiny windows didn’t help. The big windows you see in pictures can’t be opened

Comfortable, elegant, peaceful. Helpful amd kind front desk staff. Jorge and Ariel were terrific! Generous breakfast buffet. Great bathtub.

Prooerty was a little out of the way and taxis were hard to get on a regular basis in this city. Dining staff at buffet were sometimes brusque as many people seem to be in Espana. Totally inapprooriate for a 4 star property. I felt morale was low and perhaps management and training staff could do a much better job in teaching their employees how to greet their guests with a smile.The safe was not working.Someone needs to visit tooms regularly to do repairs.

The hotel has a very beautiful lobby and the staff are very friendly.

The room has very old furniture that affected my allergies. The bed could also be more comfortable.Also, it is not so close to the downtown.

It's perfect...the buffet breakfast was complete and delicious. All the staff are doing well for their job assignments. A quiet far away from the Santiago Cathedral but if given a chance to have a pilgrimage again in this city we'll surely book again at this hotel.

The chairs are old but it's not a big issue anyway.

Issues with wifi connection but it was solved with the reception. Somewhat limited TV channels (no Spanish football :-)

It was off season. The breakfast buffet, for which I was charged only 10 Euros, is a wonder. It doesn't have gluten free bread but I brought my own (I am a celiac) so that was not a concern. The scrambled eggs were perfectly done, the fresh fruit was excellent - all in all an excellent value. The WIFI worked well, the bed was comfortable, the window opened (often a problem in modern hotels), there is a DIA supermarket just 3 minutes walk away, the University is only 3 minutes away. I have stayed there many times and will be staying there again in June. The hotel has an inner courtyard that runs the whole hotel that is a joy and a delight with hanging flowers.

One could mention that the light on the desk had burned out and didn't work. And that the chair at the desk was broken and fell apart. But these things happen and just use caution when sitting in a chair so you are not hurt!.

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff at front desk could not have been more helpful and nice. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff at Bar/Restaurant on first floor was awful. We briefly sat at the bar to look at the dinner menu and were treated very rudely. We just wanted to see what they offered and the time they eopned. We were snottily told you need a reservation. which we already knew. No one had explained a QR code for the details on hotel so we did not know this.

The bar was very much misleading. The fridge did not have any notice about prices of the products, and it looked like it was free (cheap soda cans, chips, Kit Kat). So, I drank two sodas, ate chips and the Kit Kat and ended up with paying 15 euros! Felt totally ripped off :-(

Excellent location. Good housekeeping and very helpful reception staff.

The location near the railway station was helpful. The hotel was comfortable and standard, in a good way, for a large urban hotel.

Dinner service was awkward, though food was good. It was served by the bar and felt like an afterthought.

A very tired hotel and terrible value

This property is very dated and tired. Not even basic maintenance being kept up. Constant issues with the electrical system.You are paying four star prices for a two star experience
