Hotel Arco de Mazarelos

The location was perfect. When I contacted the hotel to organize my arrival, Because I was going to arrive well before 3 o'clock.Check in, The person I spoke with was so pleasant and so amendable To Storing my bag until check in time.

I think the hotel is a perfect one star hotel: Well located, Charming but it does need to be upgraded. For example , i'm sure the bathroom is extremely clean But the tiles around the shower and tub are kind of funky. It wouldn't take much to update.

The staff that helped us sign in etc were excellent. The location very good and very easy to figure out everything.

Honestly the only thing that was wrong was a shower that might need a little better scrubbing of the tiles.

The room was lovely and the windows were a dream. Perfect european vibe.

As a peregrine they did not have things that I needed. For example somewhere to wash my clothes, or anywhere to make tea (which is very important for me), and they had no room service even thought it is a gastronomic hotel.

Clean and comfortable. Location is very close to the Cathedral etc. Management is friendly and approachable.Stayed here two times.

Check in time could be earlier.

ViewStaff very helpful but there is a telephone number to contact reception. Reception not manned.

Facilities bit run down and very basic. Plug in radiador not great.Few plugs. Bathroom very small and shower curtains not adequate.It is a low price and you get what you pay for.

In the shower I got dirty curtain and I heard noisy in the house in the middle night

Bit of trouble getting into the hotel at check in but resolved through WhatsApp

The location is excellent the room was a decent size

1. The bathroom had a horrible stench (coming from the pipes)2. The common area carpets need urgent vacuuming I was there 3 days they were not vacuumed once3. We had one toilet roll for two people for 3 days4. The room was not made on Sunday5. The cleanliness of the room was lacking (severely)6. The restaurant is dreadful ('gastrohotel?')

Place was nice and the staff was nice but the room was substandard. It was suppose to be a room with a city view and a balcony which it didn’t have.

The room required updating. The sliding closet door came of its rollers.

Property was a short distance to too many amenities of the old town of Santiago, especially the cathedral. There is a bar restaurant downstairs.

It wasn’t an older building. Many are in this area. It could’ve used a little updating. There wasn’t a lot of real food offered at the bar.

Clean, comfortable room and super central location, the price was great. Also the staff were lovely!

There was mould on the bathroom ceiling. The place was overall clean however this could be improved by the property. (Not crazy amounts but enough that it's worth mentioning to be addressed by the hotel - it wouldn't put me off staying)

Central location

We got a room on the top floor, but there was mold on the ceiling and an intense smell of humidity and dust inside, which made it unbearable to breathe. This room shouldn’t be available to guests at all. Immediately we requested another room but they didn’t have any available. We gave the key back and left without having somewhere else to stay.

The hotel was in the style of a lot of buildings in Santiago , old and in serious need of repair,but it was clean.

It really needs some money spent on it. Could be really good. Ceiling light hanging off, door lock and latch just functional. Main area needed to be hoovered.

Room was small and basic (rustic), huge water stain on the roof above the bed, toilet was right beside the floor to ceiling window (you need to close the shutters for any privacy)

The room was well sized and the beds very comfortable. I could open the windows which is important to me. The shower was hot and powerful. The location was fantastic - so central and in a fun part of town slightly away from the tourist traps.

No breakfast or tea/coffee making facilities. The room was not totally clean. A desk or writing area and proper chair would have been a great improvement.
