Hotel Spa Congreso

The ambiance of the hotel. I called it glamorous!! Sra Carmen and Sra Sandra far exceeded my customer service satisfaction!!! They went beyond what was expected of them! They took care of my needs, and I felt I was with family!! They are a treasure for Hotel Spa Congreso!!

The staff were friendly and very helpful and tried to be very accommodating within what they could offer.

The hotel rooms (we looked at 3 ) were old and dusty and had musty smell. The 3rd room we chose was clean but needed updating.

Avoid!

Property not taken care of, dirty, terrible water pressure. Not sure why they have the word “spa” in their name because no spa treatments were available. Not sure why Booking is associated with this property.

Location

The staff. Person in reception on night shift was really rude and unprofessional. In breakfast the staff was sorting knifes and forks and being really LOUD to the point i went and asked them to stop. It was over the roof. This was suppose to be relaxing experience but was totally the opposite. They have the word spa in it and have four star rating. I have no clue where that comes from. Never had more bad experience of the 26 hotels i stayed in over the past month of my travel.

Really big and comfortable beds. Free parking. Good check-in hours.

Nothing to mention. Just price could be bit lower.

we were off season. Very few people around. Just two of us in the spa area. Specious room, big beds, bath with massage.

Everything is bit outdated. Breakfast is very minimum as toast, few meats, coffee, fruits. Expected more from 4 star hotel.

The walls were so paper thin we could hear the couple in the next room having sexy time, and you heard people do their ablutions and flush after ...not good.

Staff were very quick to checkin

it's not a 4* hotel.... needs a bit of TLC. Breakfast was not good.

I didn't realize it was quite far from the Camino de Santiago. Google maps directed me through a quite isolated forest to get to the hotel.

Just not on the Camino route. Not an issue if you are not doing the Camino. About 11 euros by taxi from the Santiago central.

Bed was comfortable. They had a restaurant so we did not have to go out to eat after a long day on the road. Food was only fair.

The breakfast was only fare. The eggs tasted burned and cold. The bacon was not totally cooked.

Good location close to town and main road. Large room.

Staff not very friendly or forthcoming. Outdoor pool green and very cold. You cannot use the indoor pool unless you pay. Large coach parties arrived and the noise in the late evening was disturbing. Finally we could sleep.

The room was nice and cleaned. I did enjoy the breakfast.The only negative point - dinner (buffet ) was very poor, because they only had two main dishes (chicken stew and fried fish). They have had pizzas, vegetables and salads dishes, The breakfast was very nice.

I think they could improve in the breakfast. Also the spa could be a bit more cleaner and making sure the the the sauna and Turkish bath worked properly. Other than that it was ok
