Hotel Atalaia

A lovely cozy boutique hotel. Our room was very clean and everything was of great quality including bed linens and towels. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was good. Excellent location in the heart of everything. Staff was very welcoming.

The staff here was exceptional and really friendly. We stayed during New Year and the staff allowed us to use the kitchen and dining room to cook ourselves dinner which was incredibly helpful. The location is literally perfect as you’re about a 5 minute walk to the main square and cathedral. There’s a parking garage a 3 minute walk away for around €16 a day and an area near the hotel where you can unload your luggage. Despite being there for a noisy holiday, we weren’t bothered by any noise during the night. The hotel room was comfortable and very clean. I’d highly recommend this place.

Everything was great.

Everything was awesome. We stayed in the delux family room and the double room with private bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The property is well situated within reach of everything we needed. Bus station 20 min walk away and taxi from there to the hotel was 12 euro/ airport taxi from there was 45 for a large taxi. The host, Ons, was so lovely and made us a great breakfast. Baby crib was adorable and so comfortable that our baby slept through the night without any issues. Plenty towels and linen was super comfy and clean. Gorgeous view of stars from the family room made this an unforgettable stay.

The only faults I could find was that it was a little noisy at night from passers by so we had to use white noise (we have a baby), the bedrooms don’t have any cups or kettles for coffee/tea so you have to go down to the communal kitchen which is well stocked, and finally they only provide shampoo and a small bar of soap, so if you need extras you should bring.

Location is about 400m from the cathedral which is a good thing as it is quiet. Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is also friendly. Supermarket is about 300m away. A good stay after our Camino

The bed was comfy, the location was excellent.

Breakfast was lacking. There should have been tortilla. The coffee maker did not work. The attendant gave me a “cold” café con leche. She poured cold milk over the hot coffee but did not acknowledge that the coffee was cold. How could she not? Then the butter ran out and I told her. So it came directly from the fridge - of course cold and could not be spread over toast.

This was my second time staying at this hotel and will continue to do so when I visit Santiago. It’s very well located, comfortable and has all you need. Staff is welcoming and helpful

The location was excellent. The hotel is situated in Old Town and very close to the Cathedral. The receptionist spoke fluent English and was friendly.Good value hotel!

The staff were outstanding, worked all afternoon to find a dinner reservation for our group of 15. Very pretty lobby and dining areas. My room was beautiful, modern but incorporating old stone features.

Great location on the north side of Santiago. About a 20 to 30 minute walk to the train station. Early morning walk to train station is best as there are very few pedestrians.Room was clean and modern. Great shower and toilet. No light above bathroom mirror! Twin beds very comfortable.

The street in front of the hotel was very noisy all night with people talking. Very difficult to get a restful sleep. There was supposed to be breakfast at 8am (so we were told ) but there was nobody at reception and no breakfast facilities to be found, and no one was around to ask for help. Very disappointing.Next time in Santiago, I would choose another hotel.

We loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. Most hotels offer juice from concentrate and sometimes it is very watered down. The breakfast was very nice. The room was also very nice. We loved our stay.

The only thing I can think of is a small thing, and that was the television. We couldn't find CNN in English or Fox News from the US.

Cris was really nice and they stored our luggage while we walked the Camino Inglés The location is great and very close to the Cathedral.

It depends on the room you’re given as to how quiet it is (rooms street side can be noisy with late night walkers) and how much space you have.

Good location and breakfast

Most of the perimeter of the shower floor was black mold. When we talked to the front desk staff about it, they said they knew about it and said it’s the plumber’s problem. They made no offer to rectify the problem.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Very nice room with comfortable bed.

Staff were very helpful and most spoke English. Located opposite a small treed park with a fountain.

Minor detail was the bed had no bedside light. Room had only ceiling lights making reading while lying on the bed difficult.

I liked that this was a small hotel in a relatively quiet part of Santiago de Compostela's old town. Our attic room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious (it could easily fit 4-5 people). The skylights were also a great feature.
