    Pros +

    • The place is a wonderful respite from the crowd of tourists and pilgrims. Our room was spacious and I felt I could relax once I was inside. The cafe/bar served a wonderful breakfast and the staff made it feel so personalized. We also came for some wine and cheese in the late afternoon before heading out to dinner.
    • We stayed at Taylor’s Garden after completing a leg of the Camino. Our room was comfortable, quiet and beautifully appointed, just what we needed. The downstairs bar in the garden was a nice place to grab a drink in a lovely setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
    • Beautiful hotel, well appointed rooms, and a lovely garden. Treat yourself after completing the Camino. The staff is helpful and the location near the cathedral.

    Cons -

    • The bathroom in our room was a little tight but workable. My only issue is the latch to open the door from the inside was a challenge. I could never get it to open so my husband had to be around if I had to use the bathroom.
    • I loved everything about this hotel!
    • Loved the accomodations, but I wanted to note that transportation in Santiago de Compostale is quite limited. Uber was not available (though the Uber site claims it is), and cabs are not reliable. We made the 20 min walk with luggage to the train station as there didn't seem to be any other options. So, please plan accordingly!

I loved everything about this hotel!

Location close to cathedral, cleanliness, friendly reception. Size of the room with sitting area. Decor, toiletries, limit number of rooms in facility.

Location was excellent -- 3 minute walk from the cathedral. Room was very large, and we had a balcony overlooking the garden. The communication was all over WhatsApp, and it was efficient and clear.

    Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

Wish there was an elevator…The air conditioning is pre scheduled and was not working the second night. It was after 10pm when I got in and didn’t feel I should try and contact someone that late in the evening. I could have opened a window but didn’t want bugs or flies flying in. Manual control of the a/c would eradicate this issue.

Staying at the Tailor’s Garden Hotel was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Sara with genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. The hotel blends modern comfort with the historic charm of Santiago de Compostela—every detail, from the tasteful décor to the thoughtful amenities, was carefully curated. Our suite was beautifully designed, spacious, and spotless, with a cozy atmosphere that perfectly balanced elegance and comfort. The garden area was a hidden gem—peaceful, green, and the perfect spot to relax after exploring the city’s cobblestone streets and majestic cathedral.Breakfast was another highlight: fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. The staff went above and beyond each day, offering excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing that enriched our visit. What truly sets the Tailor’s Garden apart is the sense of care and authenticity. You don’t feel like just another guest—you feel like part of their story. If you’re coming to Santiago, whether for the Camino de Santiago or simply to experience this magical city, this hotel is the perfect choice.Highly recommended—I would return without hesitation!

It was hard to say goodbye! We truly wish we could have extended our stay to soak in more of the Tailor’s Garden Hotel experience—the comfort, the hospitality, and the charm of Santiago all came together so beautifully that leaving feels far too soon. Without question, we’ll be back.

This small guesthouse seems to be newly renovated and is a peaceful oasis with a lovely back yard and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the surroundings. The rooms were large, well-equipped and spotless. But perhaps the star of this place is Ines, she is one of the most thoughtful and kind people you could hope to meet. Ines helped us plan several activities and was always cheerful whenever we saw her. Breakfasts are served in a small building alongside the back garden (or I suppose you could eat at one of the small outdoor tables, but it was a little cool for that when we visited). There is an exceptional dinner opportunity on the same street about 3 minutes' walk from the guesthouse - try A Horta d'Obradoiro, where you can choose to sit in the small garden in back for a very good meal.

    Exceptional all around!

Beautiful property on quiet street just steps from the main cathedral area. Excellent breakfast available for purchase. Attention to detail throughout and very clean.

It is very charming, the rooms are spacious and the garden is beautiful.

Although in a quiet area, some of the nights I could hear street noisy.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Super friendly staff. Best location in Santiago. Luxury I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, spacious room with stone walls! You could see the top of the cathedral from the room. Staff is very friendly, the garden is lovely. Close to everything in the old city.

The only drawback is that the room is not particularly soundproof. You hear every car that goes by because of the cobbled streets. Luckily, it is not heavily traveled, but it does tend to be loud.

This hotel is a great place to spend time in Santiago de Compostela.Tailors Garden is an unusual hotel, it is located in the historical part of the city, has its own atmosphere, a beautiful backyard, helpful staff, delicious breakfasts, comfortable rooms. We checked in at night, they gave us the codes to our rooms on time and we were able to get into the hotel without any problems. The rooms are clean, there is everything you need inside, cleaning is done daily. It is a delight to go out into the garden for breakfast every morning, a beautiful view and fresh air are provided. The only thing to keep in mind is that during the day the bar opens and strangers come to the backyard of the hotel, so if your windows look out onto the garden, you will have to close them. However, since we were busy with our own affairs during the day and were only in the hotel from evening until morning, this did not cause any particular problems. There is a video surveillance system.I recommend this hotel to everyone who is choosing where to stay in Santiago de Compostela, you will definitely not go wrong.I would like to express my special gratitude to the hotel administration, Zara and Inessa, everything was great!

The room was very big and spotlessly clean, the value for money was excellent. The staff were on hand for anything you needed and couldn’t be faulted.

We absolutely loved the place! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Comfortable bed, powerful shower, heating, quiet area. 4 rooms only in the building, is the biggest advantage. Beautifully decorated and designed. Exactly what we were expecting. We had a lovely surprise on Valentine's day, from the hotel staff. Thank you for your amazing hospitality!
