- Everything
Cons -
- I can't think of anything I did not like other than the hotel's location, which is located far from the central town. This could be a problem for travelers without cars. This will definitely be our first choice when we come back to Santiago.
- Food! Please add more salads and a few comfort foods for international travelers

Rooms and location. Beautiful old mill converted to a hotel.

Beautiful setting, great staff with a wonderful restaurant and cafe
Nothing!
Very lovely room with a welcome bottle of champaign. We stayed for one night.
Everything was incredible. The room was gorgeous and peaceful. The bed was luxurious. The staff and the facilities were fantastic. Service was excellent. I love that they had a café that was open all day until midnight so I didn’t have to fit into the strict eating timelines of the rest of Spain. Everything was easy. There is even a grocery store 8 min walk.
2.5 miles outside of town. We walked both ways. It took 40 minutes. It wasn’t bad and would do it again but not right next to old town.
The place is amazing, in a 18th century building. Well decorated, super clean, staff is courteous and friendly, the spa is fantastic and the food was exceptional!
The distance from the center of Santiago, requiring a taxi or other transportation. Ok to walk back to the hotel as it is down hill but walking to town can be tiring, especially when coming from the ‘Camino’ walk…
Beautiful building from the 18th century, very tastefully decorated. The spa is great and the restaurant was excellent
It is 4,5 Km from the cathedral in Santiago, where the pilgrims come from the Camino. The walk takes about 50 min, better to get a taxi but they may take 10-20 min to arrive.
Excellent location, food, and accommodations. The staff was extremely helpful.
We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Spa Quinta da Auga. The property is absolutely beautiful, with a unique charm that makes it a perfect place to relax and disconnect. The restaurant was outstanding, offering excellent food and a memorable dining experience. But what made our journey truly special was the kindness and warmth of the staff — they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome at every moment. Their genuine care and attention made all the difference. We can’t wait to come back!
A beautiful, tranquil hotel just outside the centre of Santiago de Compostela. The hotel, spa and restaurant are divine. The outdoor pool is small, but a nice relief from the heat on a hot summer day. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. My husband and i were travelling with our two dogs and they were provided with beds, bowls and treats! The food at the restaurant is fantastic, and the tasting menu was a highlight. We had a lovely large room on the top floor. This was our second stay at the hotel, and we will definitely be back.
All good! Nothing to complain about.
The greenery was lovely. Great breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Staff was welcoming. Nice decor in the room.
The bed was way too small, not meant for 2 people. The water pressure in the shower end the AC didn’t cool enough
I liked the Hotel in General. The Building is really nice. The room was really nice.
I asked for a double bed thinking I would get a King size bed, but we got the queen bed. It felt a bit small. When I was able to choose between 2 twins of a couples bed I chose the last one but it ended up being too small. I would have chosen the 2 twin beds if I'd known.
Located in a quiet area, but close enough for trips into the city.
Spa was small and limited facilities
It is just great. Great staff. Great facilities. Great food. Great decoration.
A sublime mix of eclectic nic nacs from furniture to art to ornaments to items to purchase in the salon, reception, and corridors of the hotel. The gardens are from an English country estate with beautiful flowers and trinkling fountains. This is an amazing hotel and would love to stay here again. The spa experience was also fantastic. One of the best massages we have ever experienced. The floatarium of Dead Sea salts was very relaxing and the hydro therapy pool with accompanying sauna, steam and ice rooms was amazing. The location just out of town was great with only a 9min taxi back into the heart of the action in Santiago..
Comfortable bed. Large room. Lovely restaurant but limited menu.
Room too dark. Too far from historic center. Shower/ tub combo not up to Relais and Chateaux standards. Not enough replenished bottled water.
The food was delicious (particularly the wonderful breakfast spread) and the staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful. I really appreciated the attention to detail with the beautiful flowers as well as the wall paper in the bedroom and about the hotel together with the interesting 'objets' around the public areas.
Didn't like the extra and high cost of the gym and pool entry and had been expecting to be able to use the pool and sauna facilities when booking the hotel. If it could be available for at least an hour or so for hotel guests that would be more acceptable. This was a disappointment.
Excellent spa. Very clean with good facilities. Food was delicious and service was very good. Felt a very loved and cared for hotel and would definitely recommend.
