- This is a 2 star hotel that is very clean and with wonderful balconies overlooking an interesting people-watching street. When I checked out, the young woman staff member went out of her way to secure a taxi for me.

Great value for the money. Clean, spartan, has everything for the pilgrim (food, laundry, bed, hot shower).
Everything met the price point! I had no concerns.
I appreciated that I could complete my registration online since I was arriving after hours. The room and bathroom were really nice and the ability to make coffee in my room was a huge help for me. The location was really great for me. There were food options very close and the proximity to the Cathedral and historical area was outstanding. I wish I could have stayed longer. When I departed in the morning I met the front office person who did me a huge favor in letting me leave several camino guides for the use of future guests. Overall, just a really good vibe to this establishment. I would love to visit again for a longer stay. See you in the spring of 2026?
Everything was perfect for me. The price, the location (I loved the immediate neighborhood and the close proximity to areas of interest.) The room was really very quiet and comfortable. The outstanding interaction with the host. Just a great experience all around.
Coffee machine and elevator were nice. Hotel was close to central places, like ten minutes on foot. Staff was good.
Bedbugs! Although we found and killed one of them, my wife got bitten multiple times and we had to find a pharmacy on a Sunday. This has become a very annoying thing for us while enjoying our trip. WiFi was like non-existent. Maybe that was because we were on the third floor, but we couldn't get it work.Hotel is near the main road and if you have to leave the door open for ventilation, it is loud. And ventilation is poor especially with the bathroom.
Super clean and just what I needed after my Camino. The hotel is located on the road you walk into if you’re coming from the Portuguese way, about 15 minutes walking to the city center.I appreciated having the coffee maker and bottle of water in the room. It’s nice that they have a water fountain in the lobby as well.
Could easily hear noise from hallway through the walls
Location, cost, staff was very helpful. There is a cute little cafe down street for breakfast. Look for the red door.
Wifi was spotty in lobby and nonexistent in our room on 3rd floor
The hotel is close to the centre - but a little walk away. The room was good and comfortable and the bathroom was fine - good shower.
The reception closes at 5. Which means to access the hotel you need a code for the front door. And then another code to access the bedroom key. Not ideal at all. The code given didn’t work initially. And coming into a hotel sorting out access by codes is not really ideal.
Well located for the historic centre. Very good value for money. All clean and well presented.Helpful and very professional staff at check in.The only negative was the beds. Foam mattresses that were heavily sunken in the middle. Not comfortable for me.
Great value for money. Quiet location in the city but within walking distance of attractions. Even had a small balcony to sit out on. I have stayed at many similar places but paid €20 more per night.
The host was very nice - we could check in earlier. The room is fine, but nothing fancy.
Just a small plug-in radiator - can be bad in cold seasons. The room is smallish and oldish.
Hotel looks run down from the outside, but what a surprise. Old well maintained hotel. Beds comfortable and room nice and warm. Very clean with good bedding. Excellent shower with even running hot water. Excellent host, always have a smile.
Great value for money, all the privacy u want. Also nice bed and clean.
While technically it had a bath, it was a little on the small side
This little apartment is perfect for a short stay and very well situated in the city. It is really only a short walk to the cathedral. It may look a little weird from the outside but once inside it is warm and cozy and comfortable. The reception was extremely helpful and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Thank you very much.
I thought it was strange that there was no bedside light. Thin walls this is usual for old buildings.
Close to many restaurants and laundry. Rooms were adequate size and comfortable.
17 minute walk to the Cathedral
Clean. Quiet. 20 minute walk to the cathedral. 15 minute walk to train and bus stations. Reasonably priced
No complaints
Good communication with hosts. Price/quality ratio. It’s about a 20 minute walk from where the “action” of what I consider “the old town”. If you’re a pilgrim it’s probably worth that little extra walk especially if you’re planning to take train as the Renfe isn’t far.
I was a pilgrim and arrived ill to Santiago. I was delirious with fever when I checked in. Rita and Joaquin were very helpful with suggestions for getting to the hospital and so forth. I ended up staying at Nest El Camino for several days after getting medication. Once well enough, I continued on the Camino Finisterre to Muxia and then returned again to this hotel. Rita and Joaquin were genuinely concerned, offered to help in any way, and made me feel like waiting it out in hopes of getting better instead of just going home.
It is a terrific hotel in a great location close to the cathedral, train station, and a terrific neighborhood with restaurants and supermarkets.
room was at the back, so no noise from the street
noisy due to the lack of noise proof, bathroom pipes from the other rooms. AM clients talking.Basic room, tiny. Needs adjustments.Though not much to expect from a 1*, for the fare asked it was expected MUCH better.Got in by midnight leaving by 09h AM.Fare was a tourist scam. I am spanish
