- Father and son team. It is like staying with family. They prepared food how you want it. The salad and other vegetables out of their garden! Eggs were from their chickens. Very clean comfortable rooms. Parking out front. Good WiFi.
- This is my very first time in Spain. We are from Canada and were traveling for a while in France. We just arrived in Spain and spent the night in a charming local hotel. Hotel Restaurante Santa Elena is located in a rural area and it was not very easy to find. We stayed there one night and it was very cozy. The owners are father and son and they are very friendly. I am glad that the first Spanish person I met was Daniel. He and his father made our stay unforgettable. The next morning Dani made breakfast for us. It was very pleasant to stay in a hotel with a smile. Kindness and friendliness are the signature of the hotel. Spain started for me when I met Dani. What a great start.
- Nice quiet location, comfortable room. Daniel was very welcoming and helpful.
Cons -
- Absolutely nothing to complain about!
- Was rather cold in the restaurant but then only a few people eating there so was a large room to heat up.
- Locked front door which was weird. Not given a key for it! The rooms need a complete renovation. Everything is old. For example I could feel the springs in the mattress and the towel was thin and greying from age. No air conditioning… there is a thermostat but really only for heating.

Great location! Quiet. Very friendly staff.
My friends and I arrived on motorbikes in the rain and because of that we had a problem getting food and even though it was out of season and the restaurant was not open. The owner offered to prepare dinner for us, which was excellent. For me, I rate the accommodation as very good, thanks to the approach of the owner, and it was absolutely sufficient for our purpose of spending one night.
The host Danny was really helpful and friendly. We had a set menu for dinner that was delicious and great value for money. Great place for walking your dog and they are made very welcome.
Helpful manager and dinner was tasty and filling. Good coffee in the morning which was great. Manager speaks English very well.

Ice quiet location. Friendly caring staff who actually own the place, restaurant food very nice (though limited options)
Liked everything we were touring on motorcycles
Very obliging host. Quiet. Comfortable room.
Beautiful setting, will be absolutely stunning once the renovation work is completed.
As we were in the eaves of the property the ceiling was low and both my husband and I kept bumping our head. We’re only 5”4 so anyone taller might have had more of a problem. Great sized bathroom.
It was a little out of town, therefore very quiet and we enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. The host was also very kind and provides extra pillows.
All good.
Was a convenient location for an over night stop
When we arrived, it took me 10 minutes to attract the attention of the owner. When we asked if our dogs could dine with us, we were told no, and we also couldn’t leave the dogs in the room, so the only way we could eat in the restaurant, was if we left the dogs in our car, bearing in mind that we stayed in November. The room was dirty, and the towels were grey not white. We had such a bad nights sleep, we were packed up, and back on the road at 7am in the morning.
The hotel is looking great, very clean and very quiet. They welcomed me and made me feel at home immediately at my arrival.
Daniel runs this place pretty much single-handedly and we had the house to ourselves. The restaurant was opened just for us. Lots of cats. Good parking. Met our needs as a late stop-over after Pyrenees.
Not a touristy town. Jaca would be better, but we wanted somewhere on our route. The entrance is hard to find and the road in is a surprise as the neighbour to the hotel keeps his stuff lying around. Looks like fly-tipping! Very quiet location with basic rooms but a lovely host and lots of cats ! Very hospitable but a budget choice with parking.
breakfast was excellent the best in 8 days of travelling in europe
TV too high on the wall
Excellent breakfast, brilliant host and owner of hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him. A lovely overnight on our trip from Spain.
The only minor negative was that the hotel address was not recognised accurately by our Garmin satnav. However I made local enquiries and we found the hotel satisfactorily.
Breakfast and food overpriced. 3 euros for a coffee!
Felt hotel facade attractive. Feel overpriced for accommodation and food.
The staff were phenomenal. We would stay here again for that reason alone.
Very difficult to locate. Address not on GPS. Driveway close to the road is very run down looking. The charm doesn’t show until you travel in from off the road.
Location was ideal for travelling
Dogs not allowed in restaurants or left in room
Very helpful owner who prepared us something to eat because the restaurant was closed.
Rooms are a bit dated and the rooms need some comfortable seating.
