About
The charming Hotel Torres de Somo is located in the peaceful Cantabrian village of Somo, near a sandy beach and only 20 minutes from Santander. Set in the area known as ‘Green Spain’ due to its lush vegetation and pleasant climate, the hotel is surrounded by a spectacular pine forest which separates it from the beach, 984 feet away. Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or simply relax on the covered terrace with a drink from the informal cafeteria. After the sun goes down you can then head to the comfortable classic lounge area to finish off the day in style.

Pros +
- The architecture of the building and surrounding area was extremely beautiful, super close to the beach. We were able to walk there in just a few minutes.
- Very beautifully designed
- Nicest, most comfortable hotel experience that I can ever remember. Staff were wonderful and the room was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed the balcony and the short walk to the amazing beach.
Cons -
- Noise in the morning could hear in the room with both doors closed.
- The Restaurant and Bar were chaotic the night we were there, but I haven’t downgraded them because the rest of the experience was wonderful
- I wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice architecture, beautiful beach nearby
Very poor breakfast selection without any vegetables. Terrible third bed. Reclining sofa with metal parts. Strange uncomfortable jacuzzi shower

Room nice bathroom needed upgrading bath was rusty and badly chipped. Parking was €15 euros

Excellent staff, very attentive, kind and friendly, special mention to Luciano in the restaurant and Inma in reception, but all of them were exceptional. Housekeeping was amazing.
Quiet hotel beautiful garden, nice tranquil atmosphere and very clean, close to the beach. I booked an attic room and I could hear the waves from my room. Excellent breakfast with a huge variety of quality products.
Hotel and pool were lovely.
The reception staff did not move from their seats. The waiter/chef in the restaurant was rude and service poor
Location
Breakfast cups were filthy and chipped. Marmalade dregs in jars put. Not enough fresh fruit. Very poor Shower in room plastic curtain floor drenched.
Beautiful unique building in great location!
Over priced because we booked over the weekend. Staff were not friendly and atmosphere was a bit stuffy. Breakfast was poor especially for the price!!
Beautiful gardens, peaceful. A little way from the town centre but only a short walk to restaurants and down to the beach.
Toilet stopped working in our room but they quickly moved us to the last remaining room (which was an upgrade). Excellent service from the gentleman on reception to resolve.
Very calm atmosphere. Upon arrival. Easy checking. Good disabled facilities. Quiet peaceful stay. Good parking. Located in a good safe area. Nice walk into town whilst being a steep walk.
There were hairs on the floor in the bathroom from previous occupation.
Friendly staff, clean, conveniently located.
Hotel was spotlessly clean, room was accessed via a glass walkway& had a balcony.
Hotel description said beech front, although you can hear the Sea, you cannot see the Sea from the hotel, due to large tress etc.
Hotel was very clean and staff kind! Quiet accommodation with nice bedding & spacious. Good value and tranquil because slightly outside of centre but quick 10 minute walk via road or scenic via trail along water.
very nice staff. They took our wishes into account at check-in and provided a room with a large, one-piece dauch bed.The breakfasts are amazing. Great choice and everything is very tasty.
Beautifully refurbed property with top quality features and furnishings and an excellent well appointed restaurant, lift to all floors and underground garage, spotless all areas including bedroom. Restaurant where you can sit inside or in the garden and the pathway through the eucalyptus trees takes you quickly to the vast sandy beech. Very helpful staff.
Could have done with more lighting in bedroom
The old-fashioned civility of the staff
No support rails or ramp for disabled at the hotel entrance steps or internal reception steps.Somewhat precarious for me.Entrance facade fatigued, car park needs sweeping.Bath/shower lacked any support rail for the disabled- somewhat precarious again...Junior suite settee not very firm.
