Pros +
- The breakfast and swimming pool were great
- The pool is big and very nice. Hotel breakfast is good and so are the bar foods. Grocery store right next door 3 min walk. Housekeeping is great.
- Breakfast was good. That I enjoyed
Cons -
- Bedroom too small, paint falling off the rooms and outside the balcony, broken lamp in the hallway, sofa not comfortable to sleep.
- What you get is not worth the money at all. At almost $400/nt ($387USD). I expect some very basic things at any hotel such as: 1)friendly staff & good service, 2) availability of wine openers, glasses and ice - not having to fetch it myself 3) good internet 4) a few extra bathroom amenities. AND if I’m paying $400/nt I’d expect a little more luxury: my luggage to be brought to my room, mini bar items included, perhaps but not necessarily bathrobe/slippers. -bathroom amenities (nothing besides body gel and shampoo.-no wine openers anywhere except pool bar/pool restaurant (such an inconvenience)-spotty internet (sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t). Additionally, many of the staff we encountered were not very friendly. Pieroles at the bar was the worst. So incredibly rude- I went as far as asking if he’s having a bad day to which he said no - but yet had such a nasty attitude. However, Paulo and Igor were wonderful!! Paulo is a gem. ? The location is not that central. It was one of my biggest deciding factors and you still have to end up taking an Uber to many of the beaches and the marina. The city center is a 10ish min walk - but once you’ve walked far enough in the heat it’s too far to walk back (especially with a child). Rooms are outdated but clean and spacious. Upon check out we had 2 complimentary drink tickets from my daughter participating in the night activities- I asked if they can apply it to 2 of the drinks they said they can’t- translation: we probably can but we won’t/don’t want to. It’s all in the details. That small gesture would have probably just ended the stay on a better note. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.(For comparison before arriving here we stayed in Lisbon and also staying in Faro).
- Cleaner rooms. Cleaner lounge chairs. Cleaner hallways. Hotel needs a good cleaning

Hotel, breakfast, location, the fact that there was free parking, etc
The room cost was double charged on my credit card account. The hotel checked their paying devices and did not find the double charge. It probably was not an issue of bad faith. It just happened; nobody knew why or how. I had to dispute one of the charges and my wife's credit card was cancelled.Again, I don't it was intentional by the hotel Staff but it happened and caused me some trouble.
The staff are excellent, bar food was very tasty. Bed was comfy and the view from the room was beautiful. The bar staff were so friendly and helpful.
Nothing,we loved it here.
Excellent buffet breakfast. Pool was great and room very comfortable
Poolside bar could have a wider choice of beer and spirits. An outdoor BBQ in the evenings particularly weekends would be a great way to meet and chat to other guests. Happily pay for such an additional activity.
Room number 366 corner roomI requested my sister and I have rooms next to each other and they accommodated that which made our stay as well. Great view with a good size kitchen . Gym onsite with steam and sauna although was out of order.Cleaning staff work there socks off . Bar is really good size really nice staff .Had a great stay Kids club really good Carolena and DanielWere amazing with the kids keeping themOccupied all week .
Don’t offer allInclusive option , a bit short staffed on pool bar. Outside pool freezing .
Loved the room being cleaned everyday, everything was very clean staff lovely. Had a lovely massage.
Bar service very very slow
Beautiful location 5 min drive to both the old town and the new town Lovely rooms, cleaned every day
Perfect facilities Spar facilities Beautiful pool
Room facilities, size of rooms and kitchen space.
breakfast very good esp chef cooking omlettes etc also excellent variety of food & freshly made cakes.didn't use poolroom good size with view of busy road at front of hotel.
kitchen facilites in our room, no need of them. Also room at front of hotel so view of busy road & traffic ,would prefer view of sea.
Nice price and location, furniture is worn, the AC was not working correctly. The external pool is very average and not a lot of place to sit around.
Front desk staff were very helpful but all bar and restaurant staff were rude, unhappy and far from what you expected as the first point of contact with many holiday makers. Bar staff with the exception of Paulo were totally disinterested in helping create a welcoming environment for holiday makers. It was not just one negative experience but a reoccurring theme for our whole stay and one that was experienced by all the members of our large group that visited last week. I would have to say I would not stay here again as coming away for a holiday should be a positive happy occasion and our expectations and first hand experiences were negative and extremely disappointing.
location
rooms are outdated bar and mini bar very exspensive pool bar only opens at 5pm saturdays staff are quite slow
The only bad thing which is not the hotels fault is that flights to Portugal from the UK are usually early flights and you can't check in till 3pm, so you find yourself just wandering to kill time.
Good location
Older hotel that can use an update. Missing standard items.
It’s difficult to rate this stay because our experience was quite mixed. The facilities were excellent, and we really enjoyed the spa. The staff working in the spa itself were fantastic. The location was also ideal—close to both the beach and the old town. However, we encountered a few issues. The first occurred on our second day when we received a letter under our door. It was a pleasant surprise, as it invited us to share feedback and offered a complimentary drink at the bar between 18:00 and 18:30. I appreciated the gesture and went to the bar just after 6 PM. However, the bartender was unaware of the offer and had to call reception for confirmation. After waiting for about 10 minutes, he informed me that he was still waiting for a response. This felt odd, considering the offer came from the same hotel, and it left me feeling as though I was asking for a freebie rather than redeeming something genuinely offered. Instead of making a fuss, I simply said it was fine and left. On my way past reception, I asked if the letter was legitimate. The receptionist confirmed it was but mentioned that a manager would have to approve it, which contradicted the clear timeframe stated in the letter. I decided to let it go, but this miscommunication turned what should have been a thoughtful gesture into an awkward experience. If the hotel wants to offer such perks, they should ensure smoother coordination between departments.I wanted to enjoy the rest of my holiday, so I put the issue behind me. However, on the morning of checkout, we experienced another inconvenience. At 9:00 AM, someone entered our room to check if we were still inside. At 9:30 AM, there was a knock at the door, and at 10:30 AM, someone opened the door again. With checkout set for 12:00 PM, this constant disturbance felt like unnecessary pressure to leave early. I went to reception to confirm the checkout time, and they assured me it was 12:00 PM, promising to inform staff not to disturb us again.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, particularly Beatriz on reception. There was a great selection of food for breakfast. It was super clean throughout and in an ideal location. Everything you would want in a hotel.
A seamless experience with a great breakfast and super staff.
Everything was perfect. I’ll be returning mid April!
We were upgraded from sea view room to a larger room on the corner with a sea view and Marina view with a big balcony. Superb!
